Countdown to 2007 Challenge Week 2

Only 4 weeks left until the 1st! I think DH & I are weighing in today but I'm not sure. With TOM here I'm not expecting any loss this week at all. Hope you all have a great Monday!

I'm such a dork. I posted in the wrong week. Heres what I posted today in the wrong thread.

Kaelen, no it's not just menus. Post whatever you want. I've been kinda busy so I haven't really been posting too much other than menus. I like see what others are eating and it keeps me on plan better. I've been in a little funk, feeling very depressed and irritable but I think I'm over it now. I was PM'sing very badly last week.

B-was going to be eggs, but then I found a leftover hamburger patty looking lonely in the fridge and a cup of coffee w/ cinnamon and splenda. Yum!

Pete, good for you for resisting all the junk food! Your body will thank you for it. Pizza is so tempting for me also. Have you tried the deep dish in the recipe room. Everyone raves about it. It was very good, but too many calories for me as can't limit myself to one serving. I make a pizza with just hamburger for the crust and toppings and I find that just as satisfying.

Waving hello to everyone else! Gotta go do some housework now. My home looks like a bomb went off this morning.

Morning all!

Leashy, what plan did you switch too/from? Sounds like it's working for you!

Well, it's weigh in/ measure day. Hmmmmm......

Weight
SW: 224
CW: 222
This week: -2
Total: -2

Measurements
SB:44 CB:43 -1
SW:37 CW:36 -1
SBB:45 CBB:45 -0
SH:49 CH:48 -1
This week: -3
Total: -3

I'm happy with losing the inches but am still confused as to why the scale isn't moving more. I know I need to get over it cause it shouldn't matter what the scale says if I'm losing inches and fitting into smaller clothes but I still have that darn scale hang-up. Maybe I should go with Lynn's idea of measuring only? Anyone else have this problem with the scale too?

Here's my menu for today:
B: CC yogurt, flax meal, Fibersure
L: Spinach salad, turkey, chs., ranch
D: Chicken strips, brocc. or grn. beans

Here are some pics of what I did this weekend:

The sugar cookies we made, my 16 month old DD ejoying our efforts (she applied the sprinkles ) and our tree that I finally got decorated at 12:00 last night.

I'm posting some more pics in the Lounge if anyone wants to see them.

Well, hope you all had a great weekend.

Christie, GNC would most likely have it, but search online it should be cheaper.

EAS does make a premade LC shake too, the only one I had was Fruit Punch but I liked it, had 0 carbs per serving aswell.

The product name is Myoplex Carb Sense Powder, but if you want cheaper, just about any brand will work including the much cheaper Higher Power, which I think actually only has 2g net carbs per serving after you subtract fiber.

Posted in last weeks thread, but since this is the new one: I lost 2.5lbs over the weekend.

Uhm, quick question. Are we weighing in today? Just curious. If so I will post stats later.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

Hi again!

Hab your daughter is a cutey putety! I love the pics. Thanks for sharing.

Well the last few days I cut out all nuts and cheese and the scale started going down so it is incentive to keep on it.

So this last week I lost 4.8 lbs. I am so excited.

But I must admit it is sooo hard to stick to. Sometimes I get downright pi$$y! But my goal is to stick to Atkins 72 Induction, minus the cheese, until Jan. 1st. Then I will start adding carbs back 5 at a time. Wish me luck.

hi everyone!

That's great you all are seeing a loss.
YAY Leashy! Holly Pete and Emerald
I'm not going to measure so soon, it takes me much longer to see inches lost than 1 week. I did end up dropping a few pounds I guess technically, but I still need to get under 201 to actually start losing pounds that didn't find me again.

Christie, I get EAS "AdvantEDGE" premade shakes in 4-packs at the regular grocery store on the isle where the slimfast is. I LOVE the coffeehouse flavor the best (coffee colored container), but the chocolate fudge and strawberry cream aren't bad either (silver colored container).

Holly, that tree is sooooooooo pretty!! How do you make cookies and not eat them?!?!

Doing good today despite being a cold, sleepy Monday. I'm glad to be home.

Thanks you Hab & HeatherFL!

Hab - I can't handle LC anymore I just feel ICK. I don't know how else to describe it, so I switched to more of a LF without snacking. It seems to be going well. Is your name Holly? How festive!

TOM has left! Thank God.. now I can feel normal again.

Hi guys. I haven't read the posts yet. DH is on vacation this week. We weighed in today. I was 295, the same as last week which I'm very happy about because I was expecting a gain with TOM here.
DH is down to 316! I think he weighed 326 last week! He hasn't weighed in the 200's since like 1993 so he is VERY excited!

It was pretty good, except that DH ordered me one with 2 burgers and they only gave me one. I'm not having much luck with take out food lately, lol! It's cool though because of the no bun button they have on the register, they put it in a plastic container.
We used to eat out all the time. That was the first fast food I'd had since I started on 9-11-06. It's weird because I find that the longer I'm on this, the less I want to eat food that isn't made by me. I don't want my burger touching a roll, LOL! I don't think I could do the take the meat off the bun or roll thing, lol.
Congrats to everyone who lost weight!
I don't think I'm going to measure for awhile. It takes me a long time to lose inches and I don't like measuring anyway, lol.
It might be a weird week food wise for DH & I since it's his vacation and I would like to eat out at least once. I plan on getting back to basics after this week. I really need to cut out the processed meats, nuts and too much cheese but I keep eating them.

Hello all,

Nothing new here, just getting ready for Christmas and really enjoying my kids. Got all the shopping done, so now just wrapping up left to do.

Foodwise, okay. Had to do a quick lunch in town today, so a few deli slices of turkey and ham. A couple of chicken wings and a diet soda. Not the best choices, but not the worst either. Going to have a real dinner tonight w/ the family.

Tonight is the mid-season finale for LOST here in Ireland (no spoilers everyone, LOL). I am so excited. Yeah, I know. DH and I lead such exciting lives, ha ha. But if you only had two TV stations, you might get really excited too when a decent show is on .

Bit of Irish trivia....we have to pay a license to own a TV. And it costs about 160 euro per year, which is like $200. And if you don't have it when the TV license inspector comes around, you'll get fined and your name appears in the paper and everyone you know laughs at you.

Hi all! I want to jump in too, but I have finals throughout the next week and I don't know how much I'll be on before that's over.

HI to my girls from losing 100 in 2006. I wanted to let you all know that I haven't fallen off of the face of the earth, but I did get diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Disease with Insulin Resistance last week. Evidently, since I've been eating LC, it was keeping me from gaining weight -- losing is extremely difficult. But I have to lose some weight for my health and for now, getting pregnant is extremely unlikely *sigh*, but we're going to keep trying

hey, all. i weighed and took measurements today, but measurements are going pretty slowly. i really cant tell how consistent i am with the whole measuring thing, some parts are easier to measure than others.

anywho, weight is down to 258.0, so i think ive lost 3.1 pounds since last week.
measurements are as follows:

thigh 29.5 (my thigh is the SAME as bf's waist!)
bust 45
waist 40
hips 54
calf 18 12
arms 15 1.2
belly 51 (belly has gone down quite a bit - i can tell cuz i dont have to look over it anymore to see the numbers on the scale! )

i ordered an exercise video (callanetics) off of ebay, as well as atkin's diet revolution book - havent read the book in so long that im probably not going by it exactly, so i plan on reading it cover to cover to see if im doing anything wrong. i do feel 100x better than before i started this woe, so thats really what matters to me.

have a good day all!

Faulty scale? If not it has to be water retention. It plain sucks either way.

Well thank goodness for FitDay. I was craving peanut butter so I measured 2 tbsp's and 3 oz of celery. Well before I ate it I entered it into FD and the pb came up as 7 carbs. Well that is just unacceptable so I dumped it in the garbage. Now I know that 7 carbs won't kill me but I am trying to stick to Atkins 72 until Jan 1. Man am I in for a battle.

Everyday nuts and cheese call me and they never hang up!

This is gonna be a tough month but I really want to start the new year off with a bang.
