The "All I Want For Christmas Crew" 161 days to go!!!

Here we are again I really was hoping for better numbers to post but I know my body and how it bounces. Considering TOM showed up last night I am not complaining. Yesterday when I stepped on the scales I was 227.5 and i had to step on and off several times to be sure I was seeing it right. But this morning I was back to 230. And that is not bad considering I was bouncing between 231 and 233.........230 I will take. I am sure after TOM goes away I will see 220's and that is my mini goal.

I am really pleased with how things are going for me. Although I take 2 steps forward and 1 step back, overall I am losing and feel great. It is very inspiring to be losing again and fitting into clothes that I have not worn in over a year

How is everyone doing on thier mini goals? Anybody reached one yet?

Off to chat..........check back a little later

Ok..waited not-at-all Patiently for Melly to get-up and start this thread

Ready..Official weigh-in today...(Drum roll Please)

145!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup..that's right kids..I'm back at goal! I ate like a pig ( all legal) while sick..haven't walked in almost 2 weeks..and dropped back down to goal! Yeah..total shock and confussion..but I really don't care (LOL) It's so nice to see that number again..and it's held since Thursday..so I'm calling it. I really can feel the diffrence with not walking though..and I don't like it. I'm getting more jiggly by the day..so even if the scale goes back up a bit..I'm back to walking tomorrow.

Were off to go out for breakfast..then go find something for my mom ( her b-day is Wed) My mom is usually way easy to shop for..but with her trying to get rid of stuff for the move..I'm having a hard time figureing this one out. I'm thinking a gift certificate for Bed, Bath and Beyond....so when she's moved in she can go get what she needs. I also got her 3 very cute Kurta tops ( you know, those 70's gause tops that are back in style again) from work.

Ok..so I'm off for a few in chat..then off to deal with the heat! I hate the heat!!!!!

Okay - this morning I wore a dress to church that I last wore when taking my 24 year old son to mom & toddler play classes at the YMCA years ago. YEP - it's really OLD so guess that says it all for my sense of style/fashion consciousness or LACK thereof.
But man, oh man, I put it on this morning and it FIT and I was about 25 again! So Melly I ain't NEVER sewing any new clothes if I can feel like this everyday! NOPE NEVER!

Hey, hi everyone!

The party wasn't canceled afterall they got home and weather was hot, sunny and pool ready to go!!!!!!!! We had a blast ~ layed out in the pool all afternoon, munched and sipped a few cold ones ~ later in the evening went down to the park to hear "Saving Jane" WOW she is really good ~ loved her new song "The Girl Next Door" and she did an awesome job ~ everyone was up on their chairs yelling and dancing ~ FUN ~.....then back to the pool, played some rounds of "Euchre" and sipped a few more cold ones and made a big bonfire ~ great time til my cousin fell hands first into the fire Yep! at 2:00am we all took him to the emergency room with 2nd degree burns to hands and wrists it was pretty nasty ~ skin peeled back and charred he got to the pool and put his hands in, prolly not the best idea but it worked ~ he was pretty wasted so they wouldn't give him anything in emergency but numbing stuff for top layer of skin before they scrubbed it ~ he was feeling nothing last night (in fact he tried to get up off the ER bed saying he was leaving and fell off Anyway....he is gonna be ok but gonna have to watch for infection closely ~ WHAT A NUT! ummmm as u can tell I am not surprised ~ everytime we all get together something major happens no matter how hard we try

Today is "smokin hot" OMG and tomorrow is suppose to be worse ~ hoping my boss sends us home maybe 1:00 or 2:00 and heading to mom's pool....I do behave there

I got a two-ring blow up kiddie pool yesterday and set it up on the deck and layed out in it this afternoon OMG it felt so good, the bottom is blow-up too like quilted, I swear I felt like I was floating in a pool on a raft right now the water is warmer than bath water my dh kept adding cold water to it today as I was in it ~ it was fun

We cooked out, marinated steaks, marinated salomn steak, corn-on-cob, green beans from garden, and seasoned potatoes cooked on grill YUMMY FOR SURE!!! Son and his girlfriend went to my mom's pool after supper and other son went to work at the pizza shop up the street and I'm gettin stuff in order for another week ahead.....oh and dh just zonked in front of TV ~ he stayed at the emergency room with them til 6:00am so I guess he's allowed since he did play my "CABANA BOY" today

Well hey, gonna run and get sumptin done...... to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO Sherry!!!!!!! That is beyond fantastic girl!!!!!! What a feeling, what a feeling!!!!!! It's good to hear you won't be sewing on those old dresses anymore........I heard your sewing machine say "again?"

OMG Pizzamama........that was probably the worst thing he could have done, poor baby. But I am sure he was just wanting to take the heat out....OMG I can't imagine........tell him next time he should just settle for a hot dog

Cindy I wish I had known you would be there. I would love to chat with you. I was at the mall with my daughter instead spending money. Trying to hit some of the sales and get a head start on her school clothes. I even found a really cute pair of cargo pants for myself.........size 16!!!!!! OMG it has been a while since I could squeeze into a 16!!! I wore 20's to the pig roast

Had an okay day. Ended up having a lazy morning then took my Dad for a drive, DD shopping and then had dinner with DH. Tomorrow, I am taking a Food Safe course from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00.

Sherry - Do you have your progress pictures posted anywhere? I would love to see them.

Pizza - Ouch...how is he feeling now?

Melly - Glad that you had fun shopping. Way to go on the size 16 Waving back at Loner, if you talk to her.

Whohoo to Sherry, Melly, and Lisa.

Pizza - OMG, it is like what happened to that one guy on Survivor. How exactly does one fall into a fire? Did he trip on something?

We got our concrete finished. Hurray. It was so hot but it turned out good. Glad that project is done. Now we have to finish putting the basketball hoop and our fence up.

Ok..lots to share...

My husband has been ready to start his own business for about a year. The Boss he has now is frankly, a nightmare! the last straw was Friday..when he found out the assistant his boss hired to help him ( because frankly he does 80% of the work there) is making more money then my husband! he also found out the part-time girl, who is clueless is also making more. Almost worst then that..his own some ( the boses) is making less then all of them!!

Anyway..my husband has been waiting untill we move..get all the paperwork and official stuff set-up before he left. Friday changed all that. He was so mad, angry and completely shocked..that he was a mess all weekend. We talked it over..and I convinced him that even though it would be hard..he needs to leave..NOW! So..he is giving notice today. Let me tell you..once the decision was made..he was like a new man!

He already had a side job lined-up..one book with 4 covers ( he's a graphics designer/type setter) per month..will take him about 12 hours a month to do..and that one job alone is almost what he makes now. I know someone is watching out for him..because he handed in the job on Friday..and got a call last night from the guy. He was thrilled with the work..showed it to his boss..they checked out a website my hubby had just done for someone else..and they are offering 4 more websites to him! ( this happened Sunday night)

Everything is lineing-up perfectly. It's really scary..as he won't be getting a weekly check..but at this point..his sanity and health are franakly way more important. I'm keeping my fingers ( toes and any other part I can manage) crossed..but really am not worried. He is one of the most honest, hard-working, and reliable people I know. I know this is only going to be a huge step-up for him and all of us.

Just wanted to share..as this is a huge huge change for the family..

Lisa congrats. Change IS scarey but you don't get ahead without taking some risks. I have been in the car business for almost 24 years and when I first started I was an hourly employee. The thought of owrking solely off commission was really scarey......uncertain income scared me to death. But I knew that the real money was and is in sales and if I wanted to get ahead I would have to take some chances........many years later I am making more than I ever have and WAY more that my hourly wage.....and way more than my hubby.....fortunately he is secure enough in himself that me making more than him does not bother him One thing that I have learned is that when I have really good months I have to plan for the months that are not so good. It is an adjustment but I know you will be ok and Joe will excel in all his endeavors

Lisa - He can do it! A good name and a reliable honest reputation are going to make GOOD money for your family. Praise God you have a husband that has a name to value. (mine does not and teaching that value to sons and daughters is very difficult - recovering the good name we've lost is quite a battle too) You should be so proud - and it sounds like you are and so supportive too! I'll be praying for you both....
CONGRATULATIONS! (change is always scary - like losin' weight <wink>)

His boss just looked at him..for like 2 minutes..and said " Um..ok..so how long will you be staying?"

That was it!!! I waited alllll say for the drama..and that's all I got!
