Just a quick note-it's 12 am here! But I have to share my evening.

Just got home from the party. The baptism was at 6pm and we all talked and ate and talked some more. All the kids were running around and all five fell asleep in the car.

Well ladies, my arm hurts.

From patting myself on the back! I stayed on plan amidst major temptation.

I won't go into all the goodies that were there. Let's just say it was carb overload and most of it from the local bakery. And lots and lots of cute dainty little sandwiches.

But...I had my emergency almonds and SF choc in my bag. Turns out, I did not need them. I looked on the buffet table and spotted cocktail hot dogs and a cheese tray! I nibbled a couple of the dogs and some cheesy bites and had some tea and great conversations.

Moral of the story: plan ahead and eat before you go. I had a huge piece of cake with whipped cream icing (yum!) and a fresh cream donut shoved into my face and I said no, thank you! I had to say that about three times until it was given to someone else.

My dh, though, went back on our pact and ate two donuts! I told him that he will be sorry tomorrow!! The truth is that he doesn't have as much to lose as I do, but still, we made a pact. Men! And they call us the weaker sex, LOL.

I had so much tea I'm not sure I will sleep tonight. Besides, I am high on life! I am so proud of myself and it feels better than that food would taste. I don't have to kick myself tomorrow and wallow in self pity. Hooray, I am finally learning!

ETA: didn't I say this was a quick note? too much caffeine!

Before anyone asks, I didn't wear my least ugly outfit, but instead opted for casual. I was gonna wear a skirt or summery dress, but instead chose the black slacks and nice top route. I am so lazy. Turns out everyone went pretty casual. Only the godmothers and the twins mom were in dresses, some of the family was in jeans and tshirts even. Glad I chose casual, because we all know black pants make our butts look smaller!

Moni - I feel you... You can do it!!! You've worked hard and you deserve the A+ that you're going to earn!! It will be worth it, but I'm sorry that you're missing Mikey so much. Saturday will be a well-earned break for you -- and a lot of fun for him!

Erin - I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!! You did better than awesome - You're my hero

Heather - Have fun at Grandma's!! CONGRATS on the lowest weight ever!!! And thank you for suggesting that recipie - I want to try it, but I didn't have any artichokes and today was one of those days where I WAS NOT running to the grocery for any reason whatsoever... I even made Jim cook...

Joyce - I know this may sound nuts, but you may be feeling yucky from your binge. I went off plan a few weeks ago and felt miserable for about 12 hours. It was like I had the flu with the worst headache ever. I don't know , but I was a mess after I binged on pizza. Just do your best and get some rest if you can!! I hope you feel better soon!!!

I second Lori's suggestion on the exercise ball for whoever can get one. They are the best, inexpensive exercise equipment ever -now if I could only take mine out of the closet without Baxter going insane...

Lori - Thank you for the recipie! It sounds so good. I'm going to try it Saturday. I ended up making Jim come up with something and he butterflied the chicken breasts and topped it with cordon bleu stuffing (ham, mozzarella and swiss) and baked it. Thank God that my husband can cook on days like today!

I've been a little stressed today. I payed bills and realized we're literally down to NO money. With me being in school, my loans are my only source of income. I applied for another one, but the company has it all messed up and don't know when they're going to get it straightened out. It's a HUGE mess and I don't know what we're going to do for the next few weeks. I'm guessing a loan from mom and dad may be in my immediate future. -- That in itself is stressing me out and I keep bursting into tears. I'm lucky that I'm in ketosis and nothing sounds good because on a normal day, I'd eat anything I could find until I made myself sick (and I made a gooey butter cake yesterday that is in the kitchen). -- YUCK, I hate this part of college... I'd almost forgotten about it!!

Can I just say, I LOVE YOU GUYS!

Tired of wearing the same pair of jeans over and over, I dug through my dresser drawers and discovered a pair of jeans that were my FAVORITE pair, many months ago (maybe over a year). THEY FIT!!!!

I was in a great mood to do my Slim4Life commercials, tonight. What I can do is save them online and if you're interested, I can PM you the link to hear a couple of them. It's really hard to do these every week, and keep them fresh! How many ways can you say, "I feel great... I'm not hungry... I'm losing weight"?

Anyway, I just want to thank each and every one of you for being here for support. It's even helpful as I read your posts of support to each other. I've never been part of such a genuine group online before. I remember being a member of one Body for Life group, where there were so many people making excuses CONSTANTLY for why they couldn't stick to it or couldn't exercise or whatever. You guys just don't do that. THANK you.

Good morning ladies! I bet you are all still in bed! It's 10:30 am here.

I am still on my carb free high. It sounds silly, but I feel so strong this morning because I resisted all that junk. Maybe I am turning over a new leaf.

I also did NOT get on the scale this morning. I feel 'lighter' but if I get on that stupid thing today and the numbers aren't any better, I will just feel badly. So I am pretending. I'm just gonna stay on plan all month, no cheats and see what happens. At some point, I'll get on the scale out of morbid curiousity. I can't help myself.

It was so much fun being near the twins yesterday. All of my SIL's were saying how they were cute, but nobody wanted any more babies....then someone asked me if I would ever be crazy enough to have another one since we have five kids already....... Then I got all flustered because I would love another one. I just love kids, what can I say? I hate being put on the spot like that. My one SIL was making such a big deal about it and had to go into the next room where my inlaws were and announce to my dh that I wanted another baby! My dh said, "Tell her to give me five minutes, I'm not done talking yet."

My dh would have a dozen more if he had his way. I don't want to get pg at this weight. I've already done the huge fat preggo thing a couple of times already. Maybe if I lose enough before my bio clock runs down... who knows. I am only 36. I know we will adopt again one day, so maybe that is our future. There is such a need for homes for these kids. I don't know, why am I rambling about all this today? Hmm? And no, I am not preg. I got my monthly curse this morning.

What's for breakfast? I need to go eat something, but I'm not even that hungry. for Ketosis!!

Morning Campers!! TGIF!!

I have questions about supplements, namely Hoodia. What kind do you take, and how often do you take it?? I read the label for MegaHoodia ( netrition ) online, and it says "1-2 capsules daily before meals." Sooooo, do I take 1-2 per day, or 1-2 before each meal per day?

And Lori - I can't seem to find anything called "Intensify" that you are taking. Do you still find that it is helping with energy level with your workouts?

I have been walking every day, which is a huge milestone for me. Mind you, I'm not going very fast, or very far, but I am walking every day. I am also swimming every day and doing some pool exercises (leg lifts, etc.). I am really enjoying working out in the pool. Water makes me feel so much lighter (well, until I get out and gravity kicks me in the bottom ) I have not exercised enough to see a difference in size yet, but I sure am sleeping better at night and that helps with my energy level during the day. In fact, I haven't taken a nap in the past few days, and that is another huge milestone for me

Gotta go to the grocery store today as rations are getting low. Need tuna, chicken breasts, bacon, eggs - staples.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I couldn't resist checking in really quick before I get on the road. I have to second what Joyce said! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Angelique - so sorry you're stressed about money. I know the cheap things I used to eat when I first was in school included a lot of carbs like the good ol Ramen Noodles. Don't give in to the Ramen!! Hope they get your loan worked out fast!!

Erin - I'd be the one patting you on the back if I were there! You did great at the party!!! Glad you're feeling good even though TOM showed up today. I'm sure you have your emergency stash of sf chocolates incase of cravings though!

Joyce - I'd love if you linked us to the commercials, that would be neat. I'm sure it is not easy to come up with stuff, but I'm sure it's much easier this time when you're on such a high from losing instead of maintaining. Congrats for getting into those jeans!!! Oh, and those dancing cats are adorable! LOL

Diva - so proud of you for walking and swimming everyday! Glad that your energy is improving!

Everyone else -

I'll miss you all, but I'll check in Sunday night after I get home from grandma's. We're going to play cards and maybe go bowling! Not sure how much I'll be able to check in next week since Andy will be visiting. Well he knows I visit this website a lot so he just might get to see it! LOL Because I think I'll need my fix of you guys!!!! you! And remember....sugar is PURE EVIL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bleu cheese dressing....

i know it has a bizillion calories , but it tasted so good on my salad today. I made it from scratch, and man let me tell you, better than anything from the store. I substituted whole fat yogurt for the sour cream and couldn't really notice a difference. I'm sure that helped with the calories, but it still has mayo and cheese in it, LOL. I think it's been a year since I had it, so I think it's fine as an occasional treat.

What other diet plan lets you eat real bleu cheese dressing? I didn't pig out either, I actually measured it out. Imagine that?

As a preface, do not read if you don't want to hear me whine -- I'm sorry for this, but I need to vent...

Having an even worse day today ... Does anyone know anybody in construction or roofing in Indiana? We have a tree branch that decided to come crashing into our attic. It's only a 6 inch hole, but we have a $1000 deductible on our home owners insurance - and DH says that fixing the hole will probably cost just under that -- and of course we have no money right now. My dad and brother think they can fix it (I come from a farming family - they can fix anything), but Jim is not optimistic because he thinks that there may be mold in the attic from the rain that caused this and that will take professionals to fix I need some advice. We've only owned our home for two years and I don't know anything about this stuff. I feel like we're just guessing here

On the up side, I haven't slipped off plan yet... but at this point I really want a bag of doritos, about 10 things from taco bell, a pizza or two, and some chocolate - I'm just lucky I don't have any of those things in my house...

Ok, end of sob story - I'm sorry to you all. I just don't know who to talk to about this...

I'm Home!!

I had a great time with my family and friends, but it's good to be home. Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. Pat cat is punishing me for going away by ignoring me, but that usually lasts only a few hours. According to the pet sitter she didn't eat much while I was gone (as usual) so she'll be a loving little kitty as soon as she wants to eat. I may get out her favorite catnip bubbles to breakdown her snootiness.

I need to call DH & my mom to let them know I made it home safely. See how much I missed y'all? I posted here before even calling them, although I did talk to DH a few times on the road.

BBL!

I am still in the "I LOVE you guys!" frame of mind, today. I must be mood swingin'.... LOL!

Got home at 1am and the twins were in our bed. Hubby didn't even know they were there, he was so tired and sound asleep. We put them back into their beds and they bounced right back into our room. *sigh* They were scared, from the sounds our (usually adorable) kittens were making, as they ran through the house.

I locked the kittens in a room with a litter box, food and water, and the girls would STILL not go to sleep. I even read to them. Finally, I grabbed my pillow at 2am and we slept on the couch. I had a whopping 4 hours of sleep, on the COUCH. I laid down to nap and COULDN'T. I managed another 90 minutes! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHGGGG!

These days can really screw up my eating but I'm trying to not let the hungry creep up on me, by eating on plan, early. Tonight could be the real problem. I may have to add a baked potato to my evening, to get me through til 1am.

Jennifer - welcome back!

Angelique - sure wish I had a way to help! Have some faith in your family...

Erin - OMG. Blue Cheese of any kind makes me GAG. Might have something to do with the fact that there's MOLD in it.... LOL!

Diva - good job on the walking!! Yay! Do what you can and keep pushing yourself a little more and a little more...

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!
Tomorrow is weigh in day!!!!
I PASSED BOTH MY TESTS AND DID REALLY WELL ON BOTH!!! I am so happy.
I felt bad because four girls in my class failed the A & P test. One was crying really bad and the other one that sits next to me looked beyond angry so I gave her my notes (typed them up really nice and color coded etc) on the computer yesterday and printed them with ink/color.
I was so happy that I knew the stuff. I crammed and crammed last night and even when I went up to bed I kept reading my notes and going over stuff in my head. I am so happy it's over though!
Next Friday is the big test!!! I have confidence that I can do it though!!! I will just have to study study study!!!
When I got out of school I was ready to eat for sure and drove and got my iced Americano on the way to my parents house to pick up Mikey!
When I got there he was asleep so I snooped in the fridge and found some hotdogs so I had two of those nuked! that is all I have had all day.
I am going to drink lots of water since tomorrow is weigh in day and hotdogs have LOTS of sodium. ALSO - My Mom sent me home with 8 cans of tuna fish, one big can of chicken and two cans of Roast Beef (I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEEF LIKE THAT IN A CAN) it's from Costco!! Its Brisket - ZERO CARBS!!!! perfect for making stir fry or putting in a low carb tortilla for steak taco!!! I am EXCITED!!! Funny to be excited about beef! My Mom said my son LOVES IT so it's going to be something that we eat frequently - NICE AND FAST!!!!
Love you all big time but gotta run - the wee one is having a great time having MOMMY time!!! He has started to say a new word...it's BEYOND CUTE -
it's drum roll............................. WOW
So, now he say's oh boy and WOW when he is excited!
I'll check back in with you all before the day is over (as if you guys didn't already know that!) ha ha ha.
Angelique - I wish you lived closer - hubby is a general contractor and could fix that!!!! If you have any questions I can ask him for you...
Erin - I am laughing at the comment that your hubby said - "I'm not done talking tell her give me five minutes!" ha ha ha ha ha.
Jenn - Yippeeeeeeeee you are back!
Now Heather is going bye bye
Diva - way to go on the working out!!!!
Joyce - can I have your kitties since they are making noise ( I mean, it's all to help YOU out ha ha) not just because I want them for myself!
Lori- When I took that math test today I wished I had a mini Lori in my pocket to whisper the answers to me!!! It made my head spin. However, I know this is only the beginning the classes after next Friday are going to be MUCH harder!!! This first six weeks is the crash coarse study prep to get you READY for the program! OH LORD!!! Calgon take me away!!!!

Hey y'all! I'm sorry about my breakdown earlier. . I feel better now. My DH, dad and brother are going to attempt to fix the roof on Sunday afternoon. Thank God that they are all handy and that DH finally saw reason. But enough of that topic...

DH is gone until Sunday. He's racing tonight then spending the night at the driver's house and they're leaving early tomorrow morning for another race tomorrow in Toledo, Ohio. He should be back late Saturday night/early Sunday morning. I have a TON to do around here though to help pass the time. My living room looks like a dirt bomb went off... LOL... And my kitchen hasn't learned to do dishes by itself yet. I keep telling myself that cleaning is exercise, but all I want to do is sit in a chair and watch movies. That's horrible.

I bought DH a cheap ring on ebay to get us through until I can afford to get him an exact replacement of his wedding ring. It came in the mail today and he was estatic... I was so thrilled that he was excited to get a ring back on that finger -- but he swears he's not wearing it at work anymore... that's where he thinks he lost it.

ETA: Moni - THANK YOU for the offer. If we have any questions, I'll PM you. They seem to think they know what they're talking about...

I love love love you guys so much!!!! I that I can come here and know that you all will be supportive no matter what my issues are that day. Thank you!!!!

Tuesday me & my sister walked the couple of blocks from her apartment to CC's (coffee shop), and got caught in a 5k race on her street. We stood and cheered them on & we saw people who we were like, if they can do it so can we. Of course this was in New Orleans where even the in shape people are fat. I mean, where else do you see people with beer bellies running a 5k?
She does a lot of races and so did I when I lived in NO (Race for the Cure, etc), but always with my mom and aunts and usually at a more or less strolling pace. So we decided that next year we'd be running this race. Not that I'm excited about running a race in NO on July 4th, because even at 7AM you'll sweat your ass off, but it's a great goal to shoot for. I'm going to start the couch to 5k program week after next, after some of this bloat is gone. My ankle with all the plates and pins in it bothers me when I try to run on it, so instead of the running parts, I'll up my walking speed. Then once I've done the program once that way (takes 3 months), I'll do it again & hopefully by that time I'll be able to run.

Angelique - I'm so sorry about your roof. I hope your family can fix it. Be careful if there's mold; that's nothing to mess around with. Be strong, it will all work out. I outgrew my wedding band and wasn't going to get it resized as an incentive to lose weight, but I felt naked without it. I finally got it resized, but not my engagement ring, so I have something to work toward.

Joyce - on the smaller jeans!!! Did you include that in your commercial? I the dancing kitties!

Erin - I love bleu cheese too! My mom had some Maytag bleu cheese that was just delicious! It's expensive though - $16/lb! It was heavenly on Carr's water crackers.

Diva - Sounds like you're doing great!! I would think you should take 1-2 pills total daily. If I'm wrong, I'm sure one of the many medical goddesses will correct me.

Moni - WTG passing your tests!! That was really sweet of you to share your notes. I that Mikey can say wow. Too cute! Let us know how the beef in a can is. Sounds....interesting.

[pout]Heather's leaving just when I get back [/pout]

Angelique - Just HUGS and stuff. Wish I (and we) could all show up and give you a HUGE round of hugs!!!!

Jennifer - Wow, you're ambitious! I hated running when I was 130 pounds! Walk, cycle... anything but RUN. I have a congenital deformity in my feet that I never knew about until severe, chronic pain sent me to the doc a couple of years ago. No running here. But WOO HOO for you!!!!

Moni, Moni, Moni - You ROCK!

"So we decided that next year we'd be running this race. Not that I'm excited about running a race in NO on July 4th, because even at 7AM you'll sweat your ass off, but it's a great goal to shoot for."

Jennifer that is so cool. You know when you do this race next year you need to make a t-shirt that has how many pounds you lost etc. that would be awesome!
That is one thing that I am going to do when I get to goal. I want to have a t-shirt made up that say's I ONCE WEIGHED 268 - it will be my bragging rights t-shirt for all the hard work I did.
I bet it was really cool to see all those people today. I always love when I see all the people walking for cancer or AIDS or whatever it may be.
