Hello. Another long long day. I am so tired but I haven't been sleeping very well. Too much to do and not enough time to do it. I can't seem to turn my brain off. Well the scale was kind to me this week, I'm down 3 pounds but I sure seemed to be hungry all day.

Melly - WOO HOO - no bounce

Luv - $3 for capri's! At the rate you are going, you better put them in your 2 week drawer.

Sherry - That is just so awesome, you are such an inspiration. Do you have any pictures? I would love to see them.

Lisa - I might have to try Stillman's, if only to change my appetite, yesterday was okay but today I'm starving.

Jann -

Hey Lori

Pooticus - It takes a rockstar to know a rockstar

Tippy - Look at those stats. Way to go!!

Pizza - Isn't it nice to sit back and admire all of your hard work.

Okay I am going to try and get some sleep.

Morning Ladies!!!!!
Cindy congrats!!!!! 3 lbs is GREAT!!!! Sorry to hear you are hungry all the time. Protein (meat) is a great snack to help with hunger....are you eating enough? You are doing wonderful and the scales are reflecting it.

Sherry what in the heck did we talk about for an hour and 56 minutes?

Well I got the bounce this morning....1 lb......so I am not complaining too much......lots of water on my menu today.....which means lots of exercise running across the lot to find a bathroom But I guess that is not a bad thing

Were any of you in chat last night? There was a problem and it appears digichat had a hacker.....if you typed "hi" it said I like to f*&% dead cows!!! OMG it was kinda funny but in a sick warped kinda way. Especially considering we are lowcarbers and eat cows!!!! Hope I don't get into trouble for posting that

BBL.........gotta get reday for work

Hello everyone. Sorry I have been MIA. Busy time of year around here. It took me forever to read through all the posts.

I don't have time to post individual responses but I just wanted to say...Sherry - 99.5

I have been on plan and doing pretty good. I am gaining and losing the same 5 lbs though.

Started drinking a protein shake for breakfasts because I have trouble eating a real breakfast. Maybe that will help.

well, back to work. Keep up the good work girls.

As of this morning I have lost 24 pounds in 30 days! This puts me at a weight loss of 102 pounds. Today is also my one year anniversary...I started on this board June 14th 2005. It was the first day I ever saw this board....but I was desperate! I could not walk well, was uncomfortable physically ALL the time and was not happy with myself. I could barely get in my car, my health was failing and I was on lots of meds.
For those newer members, I have 6 children who are still 18 to 7 years old and an abusive husband who is in a nursing home. I really needed to be able to take care of myself and a whole lot of others are depending on me too.
I am no longer borderline diabetic, my blood sugars are normal, my cholesterol is amazing. My thyroid meds are down. My blood pressure is great too....just a side benefit - I weigh less too. And I cannot even express what a difference there is in my emotional/mental health!
Actually I weigh what I did 19 years ago! I still have 158 pounds to go...but I WILL make it!
Thank you all for your loving support, "hand-holding", and the more-than-occasional-kick-in-the-butt that was delivered when needed. You are all a blessing and I you all....God has used each one of you in my life.

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

BTW Melly - in case you short term memory problem kicked in my bad short term memory says we discussed marriage/fidelity/modesty/clothing/various weight loss methods/our weight/recipes/my animals/hormonal teens /my house...shall I continue? No wonder it took that long, woman!

Aww T.T. I have to say hun..I have big huge crocodile tears right now after seeing you posted! I am sooooo glad to see you..and hope and pray you will keep posting. You've a huge inspiration and suport for me over the last few years..and frankly girl..I can't imagine my lc life without you! I'm stil hopeing that the rest of the gang will at least check-in...as I care about each and everyone here!

Melly, I ended my night by having 2 chicken thighs and feeling guilty! (LOL)
I am actually eating more protein then I normally do..as I don't have my veggies and fruit to help bulk up my meals. I know most people love that queezy, dont-want-to-eat feeling when going very low-carb..but I hate it. I still and always will love my mealtimes..and right now..I'm having to choke down every bite!

NOt getting on the scale until Sunday. I'm a bit afraid..as I have had a headache the last 2 days ( yeah, I think a lot of is is the new kittens at work!) and have had to take some pain meds. These tend to stop my loss cold..so no idea if Stillman's is even going to get me a loss

Menu for today:

B: 2 soft boiled eggs
L: 2 hamburgers
S: chicken legs or thsigh
D: NO CLUE! ( see a pattern here kids?) LOLOL

Much love and hugs to you all...off for my run. ( ugg..another bad side to this is..I have no energy for my exercise..so dragging my junk-in-the-trunk the WHOLE WAY!)

Aww, thanks everyone!

NewMelody, get well soon!

Sherry!!!! Look at you go girl! I am soooo proud of you!!!!!

I am doing Kimmers 3 day plan. I lost 2 lbs in 2 days by eating eggs and chicken breast only. It was worth it and the loss is unbelievable--like the FF! I must go change my stats.

As far as seeing weight bounce, I have learned something and I would like to share. This may not make me too popular, lol, but it is true. As you all know, I am a bouncer too. But the bounce stopped once I got a grip on my...(dare I say it?) calorie intake. I have learned that fat is high in calorie and that over-doing it for us seasoned long timers is the culprit. Now, for you newbees, don't worry about your fats for now and you will be fine. But, for us not so new, understand your body is now smaller and doesn't need as much to run. Much like going from a V8 motor to a 4 cyl. The 4 cyl uses LESS GAS, right? I am not in any way suggesting giving all fats up but I have found a lot of painless ways to cut it back. I learned that Promise makes a low fat, low calorie butter sub that is excellent to top veggies with and use in casseroles. Just that alone saves me about 200 calories a day!

First met me say a big on your loss T.T.!!!!!

T.T. I totally agree with you on this one hun. I hate to see new people out there..especialy those who have a lot to still lose..be all consumed wiht fat and calories. I think that if they start out by focussing on the induction list..then in time..when they have more control and can hear their bodies better..fat and calories can be addressed. Personally..if I had started out at the level of fat and calories I am eating now..trying to stick to Maintnenece, I would have given-up in a month..regardles of my loss. I have always been able to lose weight..I am one of the lucky ones..yet endurance is the key for me..and Clean induction and Atkins by the book gave me the room to eat as much as I needed.

Now..however, I can honestly say..I can eat clean..no products...protein, veggies and fruit ( low-sugar) and not lose IF I don't pay attention to my fat intake as well. I still eat higher fat meat...( dark meat on the chicken AND the skin..HIgher fat cuts of steak..etc.) but just eate smaller portions now. I will on occasion have cheese on my broccoli..but it's not everytime. I eat most of my cooked veggies now nakes..and salads..full-fat dressing..but less. I definatly know that even though on Atkins we don't count calories..they do count.

Beach Blanket Babe!!!!

Another of my girls comes back to the nest! ( even if it's a fly-by visit..I'm very happy!!!) We ( myself included) really need the oldbies to stick with us. Sure..we know a lot..and are learning more..but even at 5+ years on Atkins..I still learn new things from you guys all the time! Not even mentioning how your suport is priceless!

So big to all my "girls" and now I'm off to chat! It's not that I don't think Melly can handle the newbies...but know it's better when you share the load!

Sherry awesome job

It was great to come in here and see almost everyone back !!!!

i found a website yesterday (of course i dont have the link anymore) tells you how many calories you need to take in to get to the weight you want to get too. it takes in to account your activity level..

for me to get to 130, exercising 6 days a week, i would need to take 1900 calories a day or less........ hmmm i can get alot of berries in with that !!

dh is setting up for the church carnival tonite and i am doing baseball!
lots of coffee for dinner tonite !!

have a great day

Tippy

I have some days that are fattier then others like 2 days ago, if you look thru my fitday (i had a pork chop issue) and net carbs are lower, but like today, if i do alot of my berries, calories will be alot lower....good carbs higher

off to baseball!

Thanks everyone for all the encouragement and congrats....$$ in the mail - LOL!
Lisa as for the pain meds causing a stall - mine sure do also but I have found that if I stick with the plan (wahtever it is!) that I will get a whoosh later when the effects of the pain meds are out of my system...so my stall is then only temporary....if I behave.

Hello - Not such a long day today but I'm still tired. Did you watch that hockey game? It was a great game, I am really looking forward to Game 6! Day 3 of training the new girl - she is doing okay - really eager to please but kind of annoying. Food was good, curves was good and I didn't have as many cravings today. Really struggling to drink enough water.

Melly - Thanks.

Red - I also have a problem with breakfast. Not that I don't want to eat but I just never seem to have enough time. Did you find a low carb shake?

Lori - How was baseball at the carnival?

Sherry - Happy 1 Year Anniversary and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! You are such an inspiration and you should be so proud of yourself. Thank you so much for sharing your story.

Melody - I'm glad that you are feeling better.

Hey Sandi - How are you?

Lisa - Are you allergic to cats?

Tippy - Thanks for sharing the info, makes sense to me.

Cindy - Enjoy your holiday.

I must say there is a difference in 72 A and Kimmers which is dropping out most fats. Now her 3 day plan is MUCH like Stillman's if not exact. (I don't know that much about Stillman's) I have been doing her 3 day (this is day 3) and I eat eggs and lean meats only. Whatever I'm doing though is working like the fat fast did--very fast weight loss. So I can't complain and it is only a short run.

I cannot commit to any race right now because I am hosting a challenge elsewhere for the month of July. For each pound we lose, we donate $1.00 to help foster kids who turn 18 get into housing, utilities turned on, etc... So right now I am finishing up with Kimmers on Friday and heading back to Atkins to maintain it for a while. Gotta get rested up and ready to go a whole month! YIKES!

Tippy it really is simular. All I eat is lean meat and eggs.........Stillmans is no fat or as close as you can get. I have thrown in a salad daily.....a SMALL one ut i hope it will make the transition easier. I like the weightloss and will continue. I'm glad it is working so well for you......nothing feels as good as losing!!!

Umm..just my take..but

Kimmers= original Atkins
m/e ( kimmers style) is Stillman's

I think people taking her advice and following her amazing weightloss re-coined the 2 plans in her name..but she is the first to basically call them what they were.

Of Course Stillman's is not just for 3 days ( as I well know on day 4 LOL)
Then again..Originally when Kimmers posted about the "experiemnt" it was for just 3 days..it just seemed to keep going for many.

Ok..confesion time. I'm so paranoid lately about
