The "All I Want For Christmas Crew" 203 days to go!!!

Morning Ladies!!!!!!!
I just realized that next weeks thread will put us under 200 days before Christmas!!!!! Time for me to get serious!!!!

I have completed 5 days of Stillmans.......surely I am back in ketosis now I have 2 days to go and am not really sure of my plan of attact after that. I know I will have to add the arbs back in SLOWLY!!!! But a salad and ANYTHING with fat in it sounds soooooooo good right now.

Cindy (both of you) don't beat yourself up hun. We have ALL been there. I was down to 203.....even saw Onederland for a day or two at one point. And I bounced up.......alot!!!! I was in a size 16 and could even get in some stretchy 14's.......as of this morning I am 240.5 and in 20's and some 18's......just depending what they are.

I have lost some since starting Stillmans but I am not claiming anything until I get back to my siggy weight. I could look in my closet and see all of the clothes that I have in there that I wore this time last year that I can't fit into now and TOTALLY beat myself up but what point would that serve. I know why I gained and I knew when I was doing it what was going to happen......2 lbs here, 5 lbs there and before you know it I have gained some of what I lost. Last year at the Pig Roast I was 215......that makes me 25 lbs heavier........

I know what to do and the only thing to do at this point is do what I know I have to do to lose it. It is harder to get those lbs off this time but if I do what I know I should then it WILL come off. Sometimes we have to just bite the bullet and do whatever it takes to make it work. I HATE Stillmans!!!! I can't believe that I did it for 4 months........OMG there is no way I could last that long on it now.

Dr. A really knew what he was talking about when he said "One bite is the kiss of death"!!! One bite leads to another and another. ANd then those nasty cravings come back.....and untimately feeling like crap and those dayum headaches when trying to get off the sugar!!!!

Let's not beat ourselves up but just get on track and support each other and become losers again!!! It has worked for all of us and it will work again.......it works if WE work it!!!!!

I have my family reunion in 2 weeks and last year my aunt was looking awesome. She and I went on Atkins at the same time and really supported each other. She had lost over 200 lbs and the last time I saw her she was toally off plan and was gaining in leaps and bounds. I am almost afraid to see her at reunion. You hate to come across sounding preachy to people and I have tried to talk to her but it falls on deaf ears. It does break my heart to see her lose everything she worked so hard to achieve. *sigh* What do you do. I love her no matter what but she was a very large women and had health problems that were actually correcting themselves with her eating. I know she is back on her meds and I would say that she has probably gained at least 100 lbs of the 200 + that she lost. I hope to be able to talk to her about getting back on track and maybe coming back to chat and the site for some help and motivation.

Thanks for listening to me this morning........I will check back in later

Poot now I'm jelous what time was this every time I go into chat I only find newbies I remember when I first started and the support I got so I stay for a while remembering, and also taking Melly's advice of helping them out.
starting this new thread melly I want to post my link of my journey and aslo the link for Kimmers I feel like I've ruffled some feathers by supporting kimmers but at my age I'm looking out for #1 and the moment its me thats another thing I've learnt form Melly.
I'd like you all to take a look at ask kimmer she is up to 73 pages as I post this message. I was stuck for the longest time and you all here know that. Mandy used to try and tell us to cut back on some fats, may be Tippy you will remember. How right she was take a look I want for all of you what I have found after all is'nt this thread all about supporting each other to lick obesity. I've had so much support here I love you all kimmers is strictly focused on the eating part, we still come here for emotional support & that is just as important.

http://lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/showth...&page=73&pp=30
the rules for kimmers is on pag #1

http://lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/showth...ht=gettenthere

Morning all,

Ok..so reality is..I'm in a really beetchy mood. I'm learning when I'm like this to keep my big yap shut! I hate having to go back later an make my amends

So having said that..I'm just going to say...

Find a plan that works for you and stick to it! There is no quick fix..your NOT going to lose every day or even every week. That is not the reality of how the body works. I'm not directing this at anyone in perticular..just an observation I have come too over the last year of reading posts. Everyone wants it off yesteray ( myself included) but reality is..it's not going to happen on any one plan. So instead of looking for something that will drop off the fastest way in the shortest period of time...work on finding a plan you can see yourself doing 6 months from now.

This is also a post ment to remind myself. I haven't even weighted myself today..but know I have not been working at my woe as hard as I should. No..no cheats..just not as clean as I know is needed. I tend to really well all week..and weekends are something I need to work on. Being around food so much more is not good...so I'm working on getting my weekends more active and out of the house.

200 days untill X-mas you say!? Crap..that means Melly will be here before then! So gotta get myself together girls...I don't want her able to grab any back fat on my first big Melly hug!!!! (LOL)

Good Morning and Happy Sunday - I'm feeling good today. A little tired, I didn't sleep so well. More issues with DH but I'm not letting them get to me today. My plan is to read the Atkins book again and try to stop beating myself up!

Melly - Thanks. I hope you are able to help your Aunt. You are definately an inspiration to me.

Pooticus - Hello

Get - I'm going to check out that thread. Thanks for posting it. I'm going to get back to basics with Atkins and see what happens but you never know when I might need to try something else.

Lisa - How fun that you and Melly are getting together for Christmas.

Okay I'm off to check out chat and start reading.

I would just like to say THANKS again to everyone. I really appreciate the support that I have received from this group.

WOW, where do I start?

Melly, good luck with your Aunt but I would say nothing unless she brings the subject up. You know it's touchy...

Sinny, girl, you know what to do by now! Put your hand out and we'll help pull you back into the wagon. Get that Atkins book out and start reading.

Get, I have been reading Kimmers. I think any plan is good as long as you can get back to a place of permanate comfort without re-gaining. I am convinced that short term use of plans such as kimmers, FF, etc. will not harm you unless you are abusing them to speed weight loss when you can lose on a normal lc diet. After reviewing Kimmers plan and noting a loss of about 1 lb a day, I think I prefer the FF for the same loss. I LOVE FAT unless it sticks to me, lol! The BANTA girls gave me this awesome chocolate pie recipe and I can eat 1/2 pie a day! 90% fat. But, when the FF fails me, expect to see me there. Thank you so much for always helping everyone.

Lisa, I agree about a plan you can live with. But if that plan only maintains you and you still have weight to lose --well, you gotta do something else. But I love the idea of short term, coming back to Atkins and maintaining for a while, etc... I can live with Atkins, no problem. Just can't lose on it now. Wish I could! Boy, were those the good old days!

Cindy, stick with us, girl!

Hi Loner!

Hi Poot--had fun chatting with you too!

Hi Beachy!

Red--Get back in here before it's too late! Have you been...cheating? Fess up.

Jann, still on for Tuesday or is it your Mom's BDay. Wed is OK.

Luv, wish you were going to lunch with me and Jann.

Pizza MIA...

Did I miss anyone?

Get I don't think any feathers have been ruffled that I am aware of. There are alot of us here and we all do something different from time to time to make it work for us.

One thing that I have learned thru my own journey, and i speak only of ME, is that you do have to be careful about doing anything too extreme for a long period of time.

As I stated previously I did Stillmans none stop and nothing else for 4 months. I really feel that it did me more harm than good and TOTALLY screwed up my metabolism. If I had done it short term and ONLY as a way to sahke things up and then get back on track with induction, I would have been better off.

My 3 year anniversary is coming this week......I sooo thought I would be at goal by now........at least in Onederland. But you know what? I don't freak out that I am not and I continue my journey with light at the end of the tunnel.

I think the MOST important thing is to find something that works for YOU and something that you can do FOR LIFE!!!!!!

Dr. Atkins had many suggestions in his book about breaking stalls......but if you read his words closely.......none of them were meant for LONG TERM. They are meant to get you moving again and continue toward maintenance levels. Finding your own CCL (crititcal carb limit) is the ultimate goal for all of us.

I don't know when or if I will reach "goal" but I DO know that lowcarb is my lifelong lifestyle and I will continue to eat this way for life.

I am wanting veggies and fat so bad right now that I can't stand it. But I commited to a week of Stillmans to get me back on track and that is my commitment to myself.

Noone here is ever judged or bashed for whatever method of weightloss we choose. But we ar a strong group of women with a common goal.....to look better, feel better and love ourselves for who and what we are. If things are ever said regarding what method you are using I am sure that it is said with love and concern and good intentions!!!

Cindy I am glad to hear that you are not bashing yourself. Reading the book again is a good thinf for all of us. I read and reread it frequently. I think one of the best things you can do for yourself is to plan ahead. Take a day when you are at home and have time and COOK. Have things on hand so when you are hungry you can EAT. And planning ahead and being prepared means that you will always have something legal on hand to eat and not feel guilty......keep on doing what you are doing hun......we will get thru this together

Lisa it isn't your back fat you need to worry about.......it's that junk in the trunk that I am gonna be grabbin

Melly~ Awesome post!! So well said.... We are not here to bash anyone about whichever plan they are following, but to support and encourage them.... We all know, that one plan doesn't work for everyone... Most important thing is to find one that does work, and stick to it... I also figured I would be at goal now, but I'm not, and not giving up....Like Melly said, this is a way for life, if you want to keep it off....

Getten~ Your stats changed again!! You are definately on a roll girl, I'm so very proud of you.. What is your goal weight, or have you decided on one?

Tippy~ You look absolutely stunning in your pics.. The transformation you have achieved, is amazing!! I'm envious actually, I would love to get into a bathing suit like yours, but I have yet to get my self image to agree with it...

Cindy~ Good to see you posting all the time.... These ladies are the best for support and information!! And the occasional butt kicking, but it's all done out of caring.

Poot~ Waving to you and Denny

Lisa~ Weekends are definately my worse time too... I find if I dont keep myself busy, my old way of thinking takes over, and I'm looking in the fridge for something to eat...Even though I'm not hungry..

~~Waving hello to everyone else..... Have to run...

Oh Melly! I hope hope hope you weren't taking my comments to be directed at you! ( or you either ms. T.T.!!!!)

I guess I was just feeling a bit of frustration today after reading some posts in the main bb. I get a little fed up with people who are jumping from plan to plan..yet when you ask them about the one that "didn't work" they didn't even either A. Do it as written B. added in what they felt like vs. what is written or even worse C. didn't lose for a few days and jumped ship.

When I started here..the was a level of patience..and figureing out problems within a chosen plan that just has completely gone now. We all live in such a fast food society..wanting everything in minutes...and I guess I'm just more old school ( or simply old!)

I also get tired of people thinking "slow and steady" means your not working. If your calories are not ultra low..or your nost suffering..your not working. For some reason today..it's just getting to me more then usuaal

I also want to add..T.T. and Melly...I do not at all concider you in this group! You both have done your reading and work harder then any other 2 woman I know at making this a lifestyle. Your both truly woman I look-up too, low-carbing and in life. I totally agree T.T., if all a plan does is let you maintane..then absolutly it's time to try something new

Ok...well it's in the 90's here..and I've left the weekends cleaning for today Did Imention..I am soooooo not good with the heat!!!!

Aww, Lisa, thanks but I think we all try hard in this group. We know you don't mean us.

Get, I just saw those stats too. WHEWWOWIE!! I laughed when you said you were calling goal because of your age. Since when did your age ever stop you from doing anything? Maybe I will reconsider and try it for a couple of days. I suppose eating lean meat and salad for a few days could be healthier than pie, lol! Still waiting for TOM in a most impatient way. Getting signs--he better hurry or I'll start without him, lol! I am still at 186 today but bloated up by 2 inches in the lower tummy/hip measurements. grrrrrrr

Staying on plan = low carbs anyway you look at it. I can't believe there is no pizza in the carb ladder.

Down some more weight! Yippee!
TT - swim aerobics works great for me 2X a week.....not hard on the knees and the water resistance is great...and I cannot forget the fact it helps keep my lymphodema (generalized body swelling) under control.
Kimmers it is but I am trying to switchover to kimkins this week....or maybe not - as I really want those last 7.5 pounds lost to hit 100!
Wavin' at all of you....

Lisa I absolutely did not take anything you said out of context.........girl you know I have thicker skin than that......or is that all the fat underneath

Just throwing my 2cents in.....free of charge.......I really do believe that it is ok to switch up from time to time for the purpose of mixing things up a little bit.......but I also believe with all my heart that alot of the methods we use to "mix tings up" are NOT intended for long term. NO WAY could I eat meat and eggs forever........we need something that is doable lifelong and that has variety in it........without variety boredom is sure to follow along with bingeing.......personally I can't wait to have some veggies and some fat.....did I mention that already?

BTW Lisa..........how did your hair turn out and what are the chances of getting a new pic?

first let me say that kimmers and kimkins is short term. It is a mix of atkins and stillmans. I think I'm eating way healthier now than I did before. my blood sugars are normal and my health all over has improved if I can do it short term and still eat as much as is required of my body I don't forsee any harm but keeping the weight on for extended periods is harmful. I know all about that and more.If you see the over all % the fat works out in proportion and what I'm doing has never been meat and eggs I did give you"ll the kimmers 3-5 day plan in last weeks post. its like the induction phase. I just wanted to share this paln with all of you because its given me back my motivation, and best of all it works! over the last 3.5 years I've learnt how much my body really needs and I'm trying my best to eat healthy. I'm also following Dr. Cass
Ingrams life style I'll mix them all out to custom fit my body back to health.

Hello again - Well I had to go to work Only got to read for a few minutes. Just making dinner - pork chops and spaghetti squash. Bought some bacon, sausages, eggs and ketone sticks. What is the best time to use the sticks?

Just going to the recipe room for a good quiche recipe.

Sorry I have been absent all Day I have been trying to get a few things done around here. My Sister canceled on me as she was not feeling good so I ended up going to the Humane Society and getting a Kitten I will post a Pic later the Digital is in the other Room.

I have figured out what is wrong with My computer it kept getting hung up at start up I could actually hear a click I unplugged the Cat Line and it started right up then I was able to see in device Manager that My NIC card is not working so I have to go buy one and install it tomorrow I have never installed one before I hope it is easy.

Tippy We are definitely on for Lunch on Tuesday.

I need to read all the post and see what everyone is up too I have been bad the last 2 days just talking about My Stuff LOL
