Great day!!!

I had a really good day today. I stayed close to my goal of 1600 calories a day. I ate 1633 calories and drank 10 glasses of water.

For exercise I did 40 min on the elliptical and burned 404 calories.
300 thigh master squeezes
100 ab crunches
and 20 push-ups

I hope everyone else has had a good day. I look forward to reading about them tomorrow. I am off to soak in a bubble bath and read. Good night gals.

Melody

Moni I love your new avi

I've been in a mood where meat, cheese and eggs sound disgusting to me so I'm trying to experiment a little bit and keeping my calories lower but eating things like veggies, fruits, low fat milk, ff yogurt and whole grains and beans. Today was really good, I felt great, I exercised but I'm a little bit hungry now but I'm trying not to eat anything else tonight

Melody - way to go on your exercising! that is awesome you deserve a relaxing bubble bath after that my dear! You were VERY close to your goal in calories and 10 glasses of water!!! You are going to have a great weight loss next time you weigh.
Diana - Thanks for the compliment on my new avi. I got nervous with my little man being on there. I had been seeing so many shows lately about child predators etc. on tv and it creeped me out so I got rid of all of his online pictures! I figure my dogs I can show Good job on shaking it up and staying on plan by eating some other things then just meat, cheese etc. I get like that at times too where meat and cheese are just
That is one good thing though about the SB plan - YOU CAN DO THAT!
I am feeling a bit better today - feeling bloaty from the off plan foods and being a salad shooter and a porcelain cookie tosser man I was SICK!
I am going to try to be on plan tomorow. I have to re-induct now because I had juice, fruit, dry toast, crackers etc. from being so sick but I want to hurry up and get back on plan. I was checking out some of the kimmer threads and might try to just keep it simple for now without the elaborate recipes and see how it goes. I need to play catch up now since I am sure the off plan things will have done me in. I won't be weighing for several days (I am still on TOM anyway). I almost caved and went and got my son but when I called my Mom and Dad were having so much fun with him so I decided to let him stay there and visit with grammy and grampy! Mom said his teeth are really bothering him so she went to the store and got him some all fruit popsicles and he ate a whole one. Poor baby!
Well, back to some more cleaning. I really organized the family room tonight - put all of mikeys toys away and did a really great vacuum complete with moving furniture - I got chased by a dust bunny under one of the sodas but survived and got IT before IT got me!
Now it's time to do dishes - OH JOY! NOT!
I have been hauling the laundry upstairs today too and need to fold and put away TONS of laundry! That will be started this evening too so that tomorrow I can use a lot of my time to work on my children's writing homework. * YAWN *

Moni, You are supposed to be RESTING, not cleaning your entire house!

I understand about the dishes, but gosh girl, why are you hauling around the vacuum in your condition. Just reading about barfing, salad shooting and TOM all at once is enough to make me duck under the covers!

I know what you mean about the child predators. I don't really like to post my kids either. But then we are very lucky here in Ireland with an extremely low crime rate. I'm sure there are creeps here too, you can never be too safe with your kids. And my first name isn't Erin either. Boo hoo ha ha!

Hope all is well and that everyone is doing great. Another beautiful sunny day in Ireland. The rain stinks, but man when we get a good day, it's like heaven. The grass is so green and lush, the whitethorn bushes are blooming all along the roads. I was passing a field of happy cows yesterday. It was a perfect meadow and every cow was laying down and chewing her cud. They looked clean and contented. I swear, they were actually smiling. So peaceful here.

My kids take a 'bus' to school. It is actually a 14 seater van, LOL. But anyway, we walked down the driveway to wait by the road and my oldest son started laughing. I turned around and all ten of our hens were following us in a row. They wouldn't go home so we all waited together and then they followed me and the little kids back toward the house. Can you tell that I am the one that feeds them? Somedays it feels like I'm Dr. Dolittle here. There are animals everywhere and I can't seem to get but a little done, ha ha.

bye!

I hear ya girl!!!!

I wish I had a buddy to workout with as well. I live about 30 minutes from the nearest city and my closest neighbor is 2 miles away. But, my 8 year old just finished her first marathon yesterday at school. I am so proud of her!!! They ran 2km every Tuesday and Thursday around the school and yesterday she finished 26 miles. Now I told her she can train me and my goal is to finish a half marathon next year!!! And one day finish the full one with her. Have a great day!!!! You have done AWESOME with your weight loss.....keep inspiring me and others.

When did you take over my life......LOL!!!!

First of all thank you for your words of encouragement. It is always nice to have your hard work noticed, especially for us moms!!!

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling great and have fell off your plan girl!!! But guess what.....today is a new day and just the fact that we were able to get out of bed is enough of a reason to lose this weight and be healthy....and not to mention as HOT as we can be!!!!! LOL!!!

My house sounds like yours. I find it hard sometimes to close my eyes and walk past all the mess and go downstairs and exercise for me, but I am doing and I am lucky because my hubby is so good at supporting me and making sure I find the time to do it and understands when I don't keep things perfect, even when I always think they need to be.

Well you get feeling better and let's get this weight off. My TOM will be here any day and trust me this week has been rough. But I am fighting the cravings and think about people who can't exercise or people who are worse off then us and thinking, I CAN WALK, and I CAN EXERCISE, and I CAN CHOOSE TO BE FAT OR THIN!!!!! So I owe it to myself and my kids to be here and no just live my life, but be ALIVE!!!!!!

Melody

Hi Guys,
I slept in this morning since my Mom and Dad have my wee one. I forced myself to go back to sleep about 7 times I was like "I am NOT getting up early nope, not gonna happen!" I got up at 9 am that is the latest I have slept in a LONG time. This morning still feeling a bit like my head was run over and my stomach was punched but I am going to attempt to get back on track and hopefully my body will cooperate!
I was so happy that I got my vacuuming done yesterday (all downstairs) and mopped the kitchen again, can't wait until we put the mocha tile down and get that white floor up - it shows EVERYTHING!!!!! Today is putting all the laundry away! and it's LOTS! looks like the laundry monster vomited all over my bedroom. I was just bringing up all the loads in there since it's easier to fold and put away in the rooms upstairs then fold downstairs and lug upstairs etc. and I thought I would save a majority of folding the other day but then I got sick so I didn't do it and it just built up and built up and so, oh boy - the fun will be today! I don't know how we go through so many clothes, towels, etc in a week! Plus my hubby is so tall and I am so short and folding his pants to me are like folding a continent
Well, I am going to shower, eat breakfast and get an Americano running through my veins! then tackle the laundry monster. I will go get the wee one tonight so I want most everything done so I can focus on playing with him and snuggling him all up!
Erin - laughing at the hens following you to the bus stop! ha ha
Melody - Glad you have a supportive husband it makes all the difference my hubby looks past the mess too but he also helps A LOT to create it! Love him a bunch though so I put up with the bowls and cups etc left on the coffee table in the movie room and he does this drop his pants and shirt thing (works clothes can be very messy especially when he is drywalling) so he drops them wherever he is at when he comes home and goes to take a shower lately it's been coming through the laundry room into the family room dropping them on the floor and going - couldn't he just take them off in the laundry room since he passed through there anyway I don't say anything though anymore because he is bringing home the bacon while I am a stay at home Mom and student BUT I WILL GET HIM WHEN I GO BACK TO WORK!
Lori - I am OFF the gatorade now sounds like I was on drugs!
Diana - Hello did you try a new menu?
Hello to everyone else that follows
I HAVE DIARRHEA of the mouth this morning!

You were missed!!! Glad to have you back!
I was sick and so I flew off plan big time and I am struggling wanting to get back on - nothing sounds good. I gagged one egg and some sausage down for breakfast and have been drinking light sugar free lemonade all day and munched on fruit for lunch. I had strawberries and melon and some yogurt. I need to get on track - feel blah!
Tomorrow morning I will set my mind to eating induction levels and three meals.

Robwen, Welcome back! Glad you sticking with this WOE.

Moni, hope you're feeling better!

Diana, what are you eating these days??

Lori, I just noticed you are pretty close to your 100lb mark. KUTGW!

Melody-you are an exercise maniac, LOL. Great job, please tell me how you do it. I am sooooo lazy. I need to get my butt in gear. I only go walking.

How is Christie, Shelly, Angelique, Cindy? Anyone else I forgot too.

And where the heck is Tamara?? I hope she pops in when school winds down . I suspect that she is spending all her free time around that gorgeous pool. I miss her siggy about that bowl of meat.

So....here is my weight this morning...drum roll please...291! That's two more pounds down. Thank you whooshie fairy. I hope it keeps going like this, but if not, I'm gonna enjoy it while I can. That makes 29 lbs gone since mid April. My arm hurts from patting myself on the back.

I told me dh that I was a pound away from having lost 30 and was excited. He said, did you really lose almost 30 lbs?? And I said yes and then, like an idiot, I said, does it look like I've lost any weight yet? His answer, "Honestly, no." Couldn't he have at least lied and said "a little".

I know I am pretty big so it doesn't show immediately, but I can tell. My pants fit better, my wedding rings are back on, my bra is on the next hooks and my watch is looser. It would have been nice to have someone notice, or at least pretend to notice , but I am not gonna let this get me down. I am doing this for me and nobody else.

I don't want anyone to think my dh is mean. He is not, just very honest. He has been very supportive of me and is on Atkins too now. Since he's a man, his smaller weight loss is more obvious since it's all in the belly. Why can't us girls loose like as easily? It's not fair!!!

I am UP! 256.2 so I gained about 3 or 4 pounds during my inserting into mouth of crackers, juice, gatorade, dry toast etc. I put it in my signature so I have to see it and not pretend it didn't happen ha ha. You'd think with the incoming food getting shot out like a cannon from the front and rear (pun intended) would have prevented the gain but NOPE! my fat a$$ clung onto it!
So, back on induction today. I was going to yesterday but still ate fruit and even had some dark bread with CHILI for dinner last night. It was good - now I am going to have a hard time focusing on getting back into induction.
This morning I am having eggs with Jimmy Dean sausage patty.
Erin - they say people start noticing when you lose about 10% of your weight! Your hubby is with you all the time so he might not see the weight loss as quick as someone else would...but you are doing AWESOME! Good job on the two pound loss! The whooshie fairy picked them up at your place and dropped them on me while I was eating crackers

I am back and starting tomorrow 6/5/06. I went to try on some clothes Saturday and actually saw myself in a full body mirror and I couldn't believe it what I looked like. I came home and asked my husband why he didn't tell me how bad it was. I knew I had gained weight ( I could tell in my face), but without actually seeing myself in the mirror (we just have mirrors over the bathroom sink). I didn't realize the extent of damage!

I lost about 40 lbs on low-carb several years back and felt so much better. I don't know how I let myself get this far off track.

This time I have to succeed - I am 35 and my body and mind is really feeling all the extra pounds.

Hi Leashy,
How was your day? I still didn't get on track - ate fruit today - don't know why I can't just knock it off.
I am going to attempt to start over in the morning.
FRUSTRATED!!!! Looking forward to being on the journey with ya! Do you have any duct tape for my mouth?

fstroup,
I am re-starting tomorrow AGAIN! don't know what my problem is. It's frustrating going shopping for sure and seeing yourself in a full body mirror. you will get the weight off. You will get to go clothes shopping and get cute stuff soon! This thread is great!!! I love the ladies on here. A few people are gone right now but will be back. Heather is on a road trip and she is SUCH an inspiration. I miss her lots!!!
I'm 34 and so we are super close in age - I hope to get my butt in gear and stick to a plan. Hopefully once I get into a routine with school my mind will get right on track!
