Did my 2 workouts yesterday, afternoon = cycling around the property for 20 mins and evening was an hour of gym cardio. The cycling was total pure hell. Seriously. The tires are not pumped up 100% i think and combine that with my fat arse sitting on it with a very very strong wind that seems to come up whenever i want to cycle and you have hell. I dont know how logic allows it but for some reason 3 of the 4 directions i have to go have a nasty headwind, only 1 of them is not evil. I dont know how that works exactly, perhaps its the angle. Had another good accomplishment at the gym. Did 8 mins in a row jogging on slow and really if i had wanted too i could have at least done 9 (probably 10). Perhaps it was the rest days, or the pizza carbs, but i felt great. Did measurements today for the month and they were back to a normal sorta number after that water retention fiasco. 2.5 inches lost in combined hips/waist, 13 inches lost overall since end of march. I do find it interesting that although my weight is staying really stable (ie, not dropping a lot of scale pounds), the measurements sure are changing. On my measurement sheet i have a lot of neat statistics figured that show me things like inches lost per pound and inches lost per week etc to keep things in perspective. The inches per pound has gone up dramatically since i started this exersice thing. Points for april were 270, crap month for exercise total, water and staying on plan. I think it wont be me as the big loser this month. Total weight loss was only about 2lbs but it should be more like 4lbs but water retention days were the end of the month weigh ins. So i suppose overall although im dissapointed with my performance because i know what i am capable of, i DID exercise 24/30 days, i DID lose 2.5 inches on hips waist and 13 overall. I DID keep a food diary every day of the month and track lots of stats. This next month i will push hard for the last 4 weeks of my 12 week challenge. And you know where i lost a huge amount of inches - my shoulders - how strange a place is that? how are you girls doing today?

Today is protein day numero uno....so far, so good. Just got home about 25 mins from my dd softball game, talk about the Bad New Bears, lol.

I am Here got the Puter issues resolved Finally YAY so I should be here More often. Haven't heard anything about Jobs yet so still stressed hubby is going out looking today.
I Plan on running for 30 and doing weights who knows I am allowed 4 days right now cause my Levels of B12 are not right yet so 4 days Max the doc said YUCK. When life hits ya it sure does HIT ya all at one time I know I will be alright though I always Pull myself back up again and do well this is just another Bump. Take care all I will report back later. Today down 1 lb. I wish I could lose a lb a day wouldn't that be great! Today will work on my water.

Hello all my results for last moth are all right I did lose 1/2 inche everywhere no weight actually went up 5 pounds YUCK I still lost inches though WOOHOOO so I am losing fat just gaining muscle mass.
I ran for 30 minutes today didn't really feel like I did anything after my normal regimand of exercise it felt pitiful but, I will get back to where I was just gotta be patient and let the body heal so I don't get really sick RIGHT. Well I ran 3 miles in 30 WOOHOOO for me I am happy. Take care all Sarah |

Just checking in before work, down another lb. Yessss! It is very hard for me to get starting on this way of eating again but I know the long term benefits will outway and difficult times (as far as eating). Remembering my 1st time, I tried this plan I lost 50 lbs in 2 1/2 months. Think I can do it again? I sure hope so. If I can make it past the first week that is, lol.
Sarah~~ I feel as long as your getting in your exercise and not going back to ol' lazy habits your doing excellent. Well on your way to recovery!! Have an excellent day.

It's been over 17 months of exercise I won't go back just got to recover this happens every now and again I'll be back to it full out in no time. Of course this had to happen 18 days before my Half marathon I know I'll be ok though PHEW just gotta keep plugging along.
Way to go on the Pound Groovey WOW 50 lbs in 2.5 months I wish I think if you did it before you could most likely do it again. I ahve never lost that fast the most I ever lost in 1 month was 20 LBS which was cool but it was the 3rd month after having been stuck with only 12 pounds for 2 months needless to say I had a HUGE whooshie. Well I won't be doing much today tomorrow I will run according to doc and Hopefully Friday will be gorgeous and we all can head out for a rollerblade. Sarah |

LOL that's funny HE HE......well not really but hey, I have done that a few times in the Keester but I got up and did er all over again Gotta love it HE HE. I ahve some luxury liner blades OH can't wait to try em got a heck of a deal through Ebay 300 dollar blades for 70 bucks WHOOT so I am gunna be a roller Queen here very soon. I'm thinking if it's nice I mught just take off on em tomorrow consider it crosstraining to my running.

Oh yes Brook WOOHOOOO, I am glad you Came back. I am on day 2 of Strict induction now OHHH my HARD it's been hard and watching my calories sucks but, I wanna lose so I need to do this EEEK.
How is everyone elese doing today. I am actually not feeling so well could be a cold comming on I hate feeling like this Maybe it's cause I ahven't been doing very much lately ACK. Well the doc should give me the go ahead to exercise here ASAP and I have to get some training runs in here for my Halfer I will have basically 1 week of full running then a taper then my Halfer I know I can do it though just hate that I got sick before. It's always something but, if I run with my Anemia I could give myself a heart attack and having 3 kids it's not worth it so I will be at the doc today most of the afternoon and Hopefully Friday is good news for me. SO I did some weights not heavy but, OH my it felt sooo damn good to have that Burn OH ya here's what I did

No word on the Job front yet Hopefully soon I am not worrying or I'll drive myself insain so I'll take it one day at a time for right now and Pray for the best.
HE HE I am such a Klutz too a lot of the time I have Bruises all over myself and don't even know what I did, I bang into walls and everything. If you do attempt to rollerblade my best advice wear all the padding even if ya look Stupid I do and I am sooo glad I do HE HE could have had a lot of Broken wrists if I hadn't. Well take care everyone and have a fab evening. I finished day 2 of induction and I have diarreah from hell must be cleansing HE HE After being on OWL for month I guess hey. |

sarah, you might even benefit from this forced rest in your halfer results. Rest can do a body good
. Good luck with the training and rollerblading.Rollerblading is ok till you have to stop motion - then it hurts (as i tend to stop by absorbing the forward motion force with an assorted body part) Groovy, i reckon you can lose great numbers just like you did before, you just have to totally commit and dont let things side track ya. When your on plan you do amazing, real life sucks sometimes but you can do it. Brook, welcome back ![]() jen, your quiet, - hows things going for you? Had a couple days of forgetting to post but i'm back. *waves* Scale is co-operating with me, possibly cos i dropped carbs right back for a day and a half. I thought the scale woulda hated me the first day cos i was way up on cals and carbs but the next day dropped me back to under 250 and then today i got a surprise! 246.4 woohoo Not sure if that number will stay but its virgin territory. As i didnt have a scale in canada i dont know when i weighed this little last but basing it on clothes - i would guestimate 1997/98 ish? My clothes are at that annoying stage right now, they dont fit well but they arent falling off 100% yet so i cant justify spending money i cant afford on clothes... yet. Mark is now going to the gym and i researched and created a mass gaining diet to go along with the weight training. Poor boy is a bit overwhelmed with the amount of food he has to eat. Its going to cost way way to much i reckon for all that freaking food but oh well, will be an interesting experiment. I was clear to him that if he wanted to have me help him he has to commit to eating all the meals i plan and workout hard. If not there is no way im going to put myself out helping if he's not gonna pull his load. He doesnt have a very good record in commiting to ... much.. but hey, im being positive so i dont jinx him Going out of town this weekend so i may not be here. |

Good Morning~
Yesterday was a great day except for 1 thing. In the evening, I went out to practice softball in the street/yard with my 10 yr old dd, as we started to play some of the neighbors kids gathered around and before you know it, it was "can I try to hit" or " can I pitch the ball to her" within minutes we had a small game in front of the house with 3/3 players. Then another 3 player showed up. So, we stop the game and seeing how it was 5/4 players. I told all the kids "Go, ask your parents, If you can go to the school for about an hour? (Which is about 3 blocks away) Boy, all you saw was dust. lol. These kids came back excited and ready to play. So, By then I asked my dh to come and play with us. (To many kids to handle). We loaded into the van. When we got to the the school another 2 kids joined the team. It started getting dark but we all had fun. BTW~ My dh ended up buying drinks for all the kids. lol. Scheduled to go back again on Sun @ 5 pm. lol. Anyway, At the store, I went over to the fountain drink machine and fill up a large pepsi. (Without even thinking about it) By the time I realize, I didn't get diet I was 1/2 way through it. But...I woke up 1 lb down. Must have been the eating and exercise that did it! Have a great day! OOPS on the Pepsi I did that about 2 weeks ago but only had 1 big Slurp I felt horrid but didn't count it as a cheat cause I grabbed my hubbies bottle and not mine OOPS.
So not too sure what I am doig today I did a whole pile of yard work yesterday and I am pretty sore. MY plan is to do a short run today. I wanted to rollerblade but the tire on my Stroller is Blown and I need a new Tube can't afford it right now ARG. SO I have to wait for a day or so to go How dissappointing. I really really wanted to skate been excited since the weather got all nice. It's supposed to be 20 above today WOOHOO oh that's C so I have no idea how hot that is in F LOL. Damn Canadians HE HE. Glad to see everyopne doing well. |

Happy to say that after 1 day back on Atkins, the scale moved quite a bit. Thank goodness! I was ready to cry yesterday.
It is so blasted hot out I can't go for my wralk (run/walk) until dusk. But I did run for a full song yesterday which is better than 1 block. Ha! I am supposed to go to Naples this weekend to see my family but I've already been told we are having margaritas and nachos tonight. I hate being different and I really feel like they drill me about what I'm eating and why and then bring up the fact that last weekend I had french toast with them, etc. It is probably more me than them but I am not up for it right now. In fact, I should be in the car and instead I'm in my robe. I don't want to go. Family friends are there today too and I don't feel like dealing with them. Their daughter is my age and they've compared us our whole lives. And she's married to a doctor (of course) and has a baby and I'm currently unemployed and my last boyfriend (whom they met) is currently in rehab.Wow. Not sure where all that came from but thanks for letting me get it out.

Just get some Lettuce tell everyone you can't have wheat and Toss the Nachos and put it on the Salad OH my goodness Now that sounds Way too YUMMY MMMMMMM. DOn't worry about being Different this is your Body this is your choice and they will just have to deal with it. I get grilled all the time but, not any more cause the weight loss is very dominant now I get asked all the time what I am doing which is cool. They will change their tone as you back off more and more from the crap and get smaller and smaller they will ahve to notice.
Sarah May have to make me some soon as the tummy troubles are over |

Still going strong on plan and exercising just about every day.
Sarah - 20c = 68f. That sounds lovely. We're at 90f or 32c Brook - I know the feeling with the whole family thing. WTG on running for a whole song!! tig - I'm glad the scale moved for you! groovy - I've done things absent-mindedly like that too. Once I ate a bunch of nacho chips and took several sips of DH's margarita before I remembered I was being good. ![]() |

Brook, glad you could vent. I totally support the idea of not going to such a difficult place if they are going to be so judgemental over everything. As sarah said its your body and just because you didnt treat it nicely with french toast in the past means you have to continue that crap to make others happy. Well done on standing up for yourself and what you want is what i am trying to say i think . Oh and and i think that wralk is a freaking cool word *steals it*Groovy - that game sounds totally fun. It reminds me of the good ol' days hehe when neighbors actually spoke and kids played sports instead of playstations. Another pretty good day. Mark is pissing me off cos he is making me an enabler in his procrastination of EVERYTHING by constantly coming into my space and wasting time. Really bothering me and i told him very clearly. I just dont get how someone can have something due YESTERDAY at 5pm yet not work on it at all the next day. Makes me not respect him cos he has no work ethic. Makes me think more and more i need to find a new living arrangement... *shrugs* Did gym today but only for 25 mins cos i messed up and thought it closed at 1230 but it was closing at noon. Did spend time in the afternoon playing soccer and assorted ball throwing type exercise with mark in the yard for 40 mins or so. Water has been slack this month still. Gonna have to work on that. Food is fine. Eating LC/LF this week and finding it pretty easy after having eaten LF w/ grain carbs in the past. Scale still holding in the 246's, YAY. Stressed about this stupid wedding i have to go to next month. Its marks sister and she was very inconsiderate and selfish in setting the date (couldnt wait an extra week). She knowingly set it in the MIDDLE of exam period for university for mark and I and we live in a different state and will have to fly in. VERY challenging logisticly cos there is an exam on the friday afternoon, then try to get tickets in the late evening cos we are a 2+ hour drive to the airport then figure a ride to accomidations, then do the trip in reverse on sunday. I was looking forward to going shopping at the ONLY store in australia that doesnt make clothes only for apple shaped matronly ladies, but if we have to leave sunday and come in late friday night its not gonna happen . Actually the whole thing makes me not wanna go at all. (nevermind i have nothing to wear) |
