WOW DECEMBER ALREADY!!!!!!!
Hello Ladies I am just full of little post today arent I LOL...TodaY I am going to look at some furniture due to defects in the one I bought LOL...Brandi is going with me and we may stop and have lunch somewhere...she has now been ypped to 2.5 blood thinners every other day due to her blood not thinning...my eating and water is back on track and exercise is getting right back up there too ...Thank Goodness....Ya know I had planned on buying Little Ricky a dirt bike for Christmas but have come to the conclusion that this is just a danger I do not want the responsibility of being a part of so now I am off to do his shopping this weekend LOL.....
PJ you have been such a role model on this challenge, I only wish I had put the time and committment in it that you did, you have also ben a good friend to me and I hope that we remain and get even closer after th challenge....I think I will skip the challenges for a while and go back to my basics like my first year and get back to the chat room here like I use to....but I will need you there pushing me to do my best and I plan to do just that....the bf is doing well on his diet too and I am now dow 3 pounds for the week All of you ladies here are an inspiration and a positive force so keep up the hard but worth it journey because we deserve to be the best of who we are.......sappy huh LOL Before this challenge comes to a complete end I hope to have all emails and chat names so that we can keep up with our progress together....we will stumble along the way but we will not fall!!!!! My journey this year has been slow to say the least but I plan to go out with a positive outlook and try all that much harder to reach my goal........so here is to US and a healthy and happy December!!!!

Hey Home from BINGO....I won $13
![]() No worries about the stats Elisa and I didn't start the new thread cos........Dd and I went out into the sun shine and blew big floating bubbles instead....lots of fun! Even got in an hours afternoon nap with Dd on my bed. We have never done that before, but we sure did need it. You have my email and Yahoo ID Feel free to chat whenever you want too...you know I'm always good for a chat Good choice on the dirt bike thing Maw Maw. I have worked hard this year and I do remember asking myself for 8 days before I joined this challenge "Can I do the right things for myself for a full year?" I do believe I did and I will continue too. Am I going join another challenge? Yes why not....this one has worked for me. The 1000 minutes of exercise is looking good for me Though I set myself at least 1500 a month cos thats what it takes for me. Pennel

December Biggest Loser Challenges
It's the last month! We're almost through with this Challenge! Hope it has helped you as much as it has helped me. With the holidays and all, let's keep things really simple for December. So give yourself double exercise points and double water points. Don't forget the Special Holiday Challenge (50 points for not gaining plus 10 points for each pound lost between mid November and the end of December). And the End of the Year Are You On Track Challenge. Give yourself 100 points if you made your original goal. Give yourself 50 points if you made your revised mid-year goal. And if you didn't make either goal, give yourself kudos (but no points) just for sticking with it when you didn't do as well as you had planned. No negative points this time! Plus, of course, the regular challenges. EXERCISE Remember that you'll double these points for December Less than 500 minutes exercise/month = -100 points 501-599 minutes of exercise/month = 35 points (avg 17 min/day) 600-749 minutes of exercise/month = 40 points (avg 20 min/day) 750-999 minutes of exercise/month = 50 points (avg 25 min/day) 1000-1149 minutes of exercise/month = 65 points (avg 33 min/day) 1150-1249 minutes of exercise/month = 80 points (avg 38 min/day) 1250-1499 minutes of exercise/month = 95 points (avg 42 min/day) 1500+ minutes of exercise per month = 120 points (avg 50 min/day) WEIGHT LOSS Any weight GAIN = -5 points 1-4lbs lost per month = 4 points 5lbs lost per month = 5 points 6lbs lost per month = 6 points 7lbs lost per month = 7 points 8lbs lost per month = 8 points 9lbs lost per month = 9 points 10lbs lost per month = 10 points 11lbs lost per month = 11 points 12lbs lost per month = 12 points 13lbs lost per month = 13 points 14lbs lost per month = 14 points 15+lbs lost per month = 45 points WATER consumption per month (in ounces) Remember that you'll double these points for December 1983 ounces or less = -100 points (avg less than 64 oz/day) 1984-3100 ounces = 35 points (avg 64-100 oz/day) 3101-4340 ounces = 85 points (avg 101-140 oz/day) 4341+ ounces = 150 points (avg 141oz+/day) MEASUREMENTS INCHES LOST HALF-Inches lost per month (total ONLY from waist and hips (same for both men and women)) You are encouraged to measure more body parts for your own records but just the waist and hips will count during this challenge: Add 10 points for every HALF-inch you lose (measured monthly) add hips and waist together for a combined total. If you choose to measure every three months, you will have to be on an individual challenge only. All team members are expected to measure and report their results on the last day of the month. (permanent challenge) Deduct 20 points for every HALF-inch you gain from the prior month. FURTHER ADDITIONS AND DEDUCTIONS: Deduct 1 point for every can of diet pop that is not made with the Splenda Sweetner or another Atkins-approved sweetner. Example, saccharine is not good. (Even if it doesn't stall you). (permanent challenge) (hint: drink Diet Rite) Deduct 1 point for every 12oz. you drink that is not caffeine free. (permanent challenge) Deduct 30 points for going over YOUR monthly carb intake goal at all! (permanent challenge) Don’t forget that posting is an ongoing challenge for the rest of the year. Give yourself 1 point for every day that you post on your team’s thread. |

Hello Ladies!
Hope you are all have a great weekend. I am off up to Perth with a G/f on Sunday....thats why I was out busting myself doing all the lawns on Wednesday.... keep it sweet with Dh, cos I am NOT taking the kids with my tomorrow! Like my new picture? Thats me at the party last weekend before the wine got me!I have upped my carb count this month to 55g a day. I feel I need it cos of the heavier weight training I am now doing......I'm up to 70 pounds on my heaviest lifts Anyone wanna arm wrestle?? ![]() I have been slowly cutting back on the amount of fat I eat and added in extra protein. All I know is that although I have had a cold, I still feel great....all of this is working for me....finally! Seen the end of "The biggest loser" show last night.....I had a thought that Matt would win but the girls Looked Great....such a huge difference...it does pay to take them before pictures, as horrible as they are! Come in and talk to me ladies. Let me know you are still around and how things are going for you? Elisa how's the Butt going?? And how is Brandi, running a mile yet? ![]() Ok best I go and make my list! Hope to hear from you all soon. Pennel |

Hello Elisa!
Thank you. I am glad to hear good news from you.My weekend in Perth was very good. Got some Eye popping looks from people I haven't seen in a while. Also got a foot massage.....I never let anyone touch my feet but after a 15 minute foot spa my feet were just loving that rub. Very relaxing! I have been getting a lot of "How you going Slim?" Now days, twice yesterday....I think that my 40 pound loss is showing...I can't hide it in winter clothes anymore....Not that my weather is very hot at the moment....it's rained all week and Dh even turned on the heater the other day ![]() I want to go for another swim with the kids (heated pool) but needed some new shorts. I'm not into bathers just yet. All mine from last year are not worthy of being rags so I buy some size 22 lycra shorts. Bring them home try them on and if I went swimming in them I would lose them. Way too big.....![]() But BUGGER ![]() There was no size 20's on the rack, I rememer cos I tossed up whether to get the 22's or 20's, I guessed wrong LOL! I took them back and went in for another look and found some 20's....they fit a lot better although I don't make the legs stretch at all....maybe I could have gotten the 18's Pennel |

Hi ya ladies, I have just gotten home from bingo. It was a High Roller and there was $1000 to be won on the bonus game.....
it wasn't me. I did call bingo and won $10 At least I called ![]() I had a Rest day today, just swept and mopped and caught up on things around the house....."Rest Day"???? I didn't do any weights or cardio today thats what I rested from. Back to upper body weights tomorrow, week 7 and I am feeling the benifits from the heavier weights and the intense cardio....I feel better, fitter and happier. My Ds had his last day of pre-school today. He has 8 weeks off ( summer break) and then a big Year 1 next year. He is a good kid and some things he gets and some he don't. He will do fine...What am I going to do with him for the next 8 weeks??.....You teachers out there....you all don't get paid enough! I gave Ds teacher and her aid a nice bottle of white wine each...I'm very happy with my sons work and manner, a lot of hard work for those 2 teachers all year and to have 27 5 year olds 5 days a week. Thats hard work that I couldn't do, wouldn't do. Pennel |

Hey Ladies, Susie, Diana and Elisa.
What are you all doing for christmas? Anything special? The morning is spent at home with the kids doing the gift thing then we are just going over to Dh's dad's for lunch....afternoon feasting this year my sister and her hubby are coming over to their place as well. They have no kids and we had been going to my sisters for lunch the last couple of years. Plus they had the AC....now we have an AC and they were coming here this year but we aren't going to be here LOL! Last year we went from one house to another, lost a gift in all the moves, so this year I said That's It, we are going to one place and staying there! I would rather stay at home so the kids can play with all their new things....maybe next year! There is going to be a mountain of food......cold crayfish (lobster) prawns (shrimp) roasted pork, turkey and lamb... I'll be right, just eat the meats, there will be plenty to choose from a tossed salad, a bean salad, coleslaw, some other salad and a potato bake. My sister is bringing something for sweats....she makes some of the most wonderful icecream cakes you would ever taste....and thats all I'll be getting "a Taste" I am thinking of making myself a LC chocolate mousse/ cheesecake thingy, since I have found some. Make a mixed nut base and add some cream cheese and maybe some yocheese to the choclate mousse mix to thicken it up, sounds good to me and it's not full of sugar! I will be trying my best this year to not go off plan....last year I went off plan big time and paid for it....I was unwell for days after...all those carbs in one day knocked insides around and put me into a sugar coma! Well maybe not but I did feel unwell and it is so hard to get back on track! Not this year, I want to stay on plan with maybe a small taste of my sisters homemade ice cream cake! ![]() Pennel |

There sure is a lot of lost interrest in this challenge now HUH? After seeing how well everyone did in this years biggest loser show in only what 5 months or was it 6 months? Makes me kind of think if only I had 5 hours a day to work out!
Not really, I also know that I am going to lose my weight and reach my goals but it's gonna take me a couple of years, not a couple of months. I have no plan on going back to 300 pounds! And personaly I think that is better for your body. The changes that they put their body through in such a short time....no wonder why they all were crying most of the time!Ok get in here and finish off the rest of this month with me Gals......... Please. Pennel |

and I am alos worn out from it all....I had been quite ill for about a month from worry I assuem but managing on just a couple of hours of sleep a nigjt and was actually beginning to get quite loopy , but 2 nights in a row I have actually really slept For Christmas the plans are to go to my sons on Christmas Eve and do our family thing together so the kids cand do Christmas day with all the inlaws and other family..my youngest son has to work Christmas day so this works better for us anyway so that we can all be together....we did our fest Thanksgiving so I have managed to talk the kids into doing trays of fingerfoods like fruit trays and veggie trays and nut trays ect for our evening ....They all seemed aggreeable to that..Christmas morning I will just sleep in and relax all day The diet thing has sucked and I am guilty of neglecting my self to say the least, but I will get there back into the zone and never give up....I hope for the new year we can all be as committed and progress as well as PJ has this year well I am off for now so talk soon as soon as I get the chance |

Well Hello Elisa! So pleased to read from you! Sounds like a nice way to spend Christmas....Relaxing! Wish I could do that.
This year is the first time we have changed from seeing Dh's family on Christmas Eve and my family on the day. I only have my 2 sisters and both with their Dh's/dbf's have been invited over to F/I/L's for Christmas lunch and the rest of the day....The more the merrier is F/I/L's motto! So it will be both sides of the family on the one day. Hopefully we can talk M/I/L and her Bf to come here the day after for a light lunch. I am down a couple more pounds...I am so happy I have lost 30kgs.....(66lbs for you all)....here 30kgs! I would like by the end of this month to be able to say I have lost 20 kgs (44lbs) for the year....I have 1 pound to go ![]() And yes Elisa I did say at the start of this year that I was going to do something about myself...I have and I'll be saying it again for next year and the year after that one and for the rest of my life. I really cannot express how much better I feel. And it's not just the fact that I now can touch my toes with straight legs or I don't have to look in back for the size 26's anymore. It's more of a feeling of self worth, self love and a better understanding of my body, mind and sole. Pennel |

Good morning Ladies, sounds like you have done what you set out to do PJ and congrats to you, and to all of those who stayed til the end....I will miss the posting but I plan the first of the year to go back to the chat room and to look around for shorter term challenges to see how that works for me again...it was a success the first time so I will be on that road again...I love Christmas but I will be happy to see the new year begin also...new goals and hopefully new acheivements.....I plan to keep up with you all and see how you are all doing be it you allow me to do so......Brandi was at the ER again this mornign with bleeding from the insicion so later in the day she will return to the doctor again....I fear they will have to hospitalize her once again but I do pray not.....well I am off and will yell back later...oh by the way Pj BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Thank you Elisa. I have no plans on giving up on myself and there is no way I am going back to 300 lbs...I can't, I have cleaned out all my size 26's and most of my 24's... I still wear some but around the house and garden mainly.... I'm not to worried looking baggy daggy around the house
but I change into nicer fitting clothes when I go out.I would join you in the chat room but since we have gone to broadband I can't seem to get it to work, will have to ask Dh?? Is Brandi trying to do to much Elisa? I do hope she recovers and that both of you work together..... it is much easier and helpful with support within your family or friends. I have these boards as my only support. Next year I am hoping that with the changes family and friends see in me that maybe just 1 or 2 might ask if they could join me.... I would be more than pleased if they wanted my help. I have told most that I am doing some real weight training and 1 friend wanted to know what I did. So I told her and she was like "OMG you would kill me if you wanted me to do the same workout as you!" I wouldn't make her lift the heavier weight I lift but I reckon I would make her very sore for a few days.... I know I was. Going with Dh tomorrow to do the rest of our Christmas shopping, mostly need to get all adults something little from the kids and something for each other. We are also going to see if we can rob a bank we are looking into starting the extentions to our house next year, but need about $100,000 and our bank won't let us owner build (bugger) so we are shopping around for another bank to rob! Once we get the extentions built I get my gym moved from "The Shed" into it's very own room That would be so handy....I won't have to freeze in the winter or cook in the summer in "The Shed" and better still I could do a workout at any time and not worry about what DD is up to in the house! Lately I have been going into the shed after 8pm cos I can't get in a morning workout...Dd is awake before 6 each morning and some days she doesn't nap in the afternoon. So after I have feed, bathed, story read and in bed I get all the time I need, Oh other than Dh wanting me He still doesn't get it! He still questions Why am I going down the Shed at such a late hour....he doesn't get that I Need that hour a day to work on myself. Even though he has never said that I have lost weight he sure has Noticed it I think he is worried about the clothes bill I am going to hit him up for in the next few years.... I need smaller clothes now but don't see the point on spending too much when I know in 6 to 12 months they are going to be to big for me again, so I am holding off and only buying the things I really need.Susie and Diana you gals still in here with us to the end...come on in and let us know, and you have a day to post your mid month stats! Hey Elisa are you going to email them this month? I can if need be. Pennel |

Hi sweeties!!! I'm still here!!! I finally have gotten back on track with my exercise, at least. I dropped several lbs., but then things got so hectic, I don't have a chance to eat at all during the day--and that caused me to start retaining water and my lbs. are up again. The exercise has made the world of difference, though, in handling that stress. I'm planning on having a quiet christmas with my mom---who I think misses all of you as much as I do!! I'ts hard to believe we are at the end of our challenge--we're going to have to keep this going in some form!!! I still keep hoping to get more time to come in here and physically give you all the support I feel in my heart!! You ladies are the absolute best and I am so proud of all we have accomplished over the past year. now, for the blechy part---my stats Team name: Southern Comfort Team #: 14 Memb |
