DRAMA.....

OK so my sister calls me as I was on my way home from work last night and asked me what I was doing. Well I reminded her, as she already knew, that I was taking my daughter and neighbor and some kids to church for Fall Fest. Well the reason she wanted to know was because she wanted to bring my nephew Jourdan over to see our puppy.

Now in order for you to understand this post I have to fill you in on my sister and nephew. My nephew is actually my brothers child but my sister has had him since birth. She spent the majority, 75%, of his life addicted to Meth so needless to say she has not been much of a mother to him and his behavior reflects that. Even now that she is clean that part has not changed. She "proclaims" to be a Christian and attends church every time the doors are open. But I dare say that doesn't get you into Heaven. There has yet to be a family function that they have attended that he has not found a way to ruin. He has a nasty mouth and the "F" word is like you and I use the word "and"......very regular. And he doesn't mind who he says it in front of.....grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins....doesn't matter.

OK so back to last night.......I told her she could call me later and they could stop by. So she called me as I was leaving church and we were in the gymnasium and there were alot of kids and I said let me call you when I get out of here and can hear.

So when I got to the car I called and she was actually sitting in my driveway. So I called Darrell and told him they were there and I would be home soon and I overheard her tell my nephew to go knock on the door......this is where my story begins.......

Jourdan goes to the door and begins knocking hard and fast and nonstop like he was the police or something....and ringing the bell nonstop while he was at it. Well that would be enough to irritate me but Darrell opens the door and lets him in and didn't say anything.

When I get home they had been there for about 10 or 15 minutes and I guess Jourdan was being a butthead from the time he walked in the door...."that's a stupid dog" , "I wouldn't pay money for anything so stupid" , "why are we here" , "I want to go home".

So when Aliyah and I get home we are visiting and my sister has Reesey on her lap and Jourdan is playing with Aliyahs plastic slinky. My sister lays Reesey on Jourdans lap and he takes her and THROWS her down on the floor. Now in case you guys have forgotten, she is 3 lbs and tiny and a baby. Well Darrell, Aliyah and I all 3 at the same time yell "DON"T THROW HER".

So a few minutes pass and Aliyah looks over and notices her slinky is now broken in 2 pieces and laying on the floor and says something to him about it. He denies that he broke it and Aliyah says yes you did and thumps him on the side of the head. BTW....Jourdan is 16 and Aliyah is 10. Jourdan kicks Aliyah. Darrell speaks up, since my sister has yet to say one single word about any of this, and says "You don't kick her and why did you break her toy". Jourdan says I didn't break it and Darrell says it was fine when you picked it up and now its broke and you are the only one that has touched it. Jourdan says "I didn't break the F***ing toy."

OMG I have never in the entire time I have known Darrell seen him so mad. He stands up and tells him to get out of the house and to never come back. He said you don't have any respect for anyone or anything and leave. They are walking toward the door by this point and every other word out of Jourdans mouth is "F" and Darrell is just telling him to leave.

By the time my sister and I get outside they are in the yard and Jourdan is yelling and screaming, OMG the neighbors , and is threatening Darrell over and over. He keeps bumping Darrell with his chest and Darrell keeps trying to walk away. The last time he came at Darrell he raised his fist as though he was going to hit him and Darrell grabs him by the chest and slams him to the ground!!!!!! He did not hit him but he did slam him to the ground. Now my sister finds her mouth and voice and says.....You need to back off he is a child. Darrell told her that if he acts like a man and talks like a man and comes at him like a man he better be prepared to get treated like a man. He then told her that she needed to teach her son some repsect and that he is not welcome in his house again. Now Jourdan is up and still yelling profanities and threatening Darrell....but.....praise God......they leave.

Darrell was very upset when he came in the house and appologized to me for me having seen him like that but that he would not allow anyone to be disrepectful or act that way in our house, especially not some punk kid. He wanted me to call my sister and say he was sorry but it wasn't my place to call and tempers were still too hot for anymore conversation.

This is crazy for us because we are a dramafree house and there is never any arguing of ANY kind, much less all of that.

Darrell feels terrible. I think he is most worried about what my family will think but they have all experienced outbursts like that with Jourdan and they all know that Darrell is very quiet normally. I talked to my uncle this morning and he said I can't believe he didn't punch him in the mouth. My mother called Darrell at work and told him not to be upset, it wasn't his fault and that we all know how Jourdan can be.

This kid has been in a lot of trouble and I dare to say those days are not over. I have not heard from my sister today, who normally calls me several times a day. I know her well enough to say that she will make Darrell out to be the bad guy but again as I said before we all have seen Jourdan in action so we all know how he can be. Personally I feel like both Jourdan and my sister owe us all an appology but I know that will never happen

So that was my drama......it made me sick to my stomach. I HATE drama. Especailly involving family.

Poor Melly - my advice is that it is water under the bridge. Forget about it. Let your sister and/or nephew make the first move towards mending fences but don't expect an apology.

Melly~ I do not blame Darrell at all he stood up for his household, if you let people or children act like that and get away with it what will they do if not stopped?

I say Darrell did right he didnt punch the kid or cuss back at him he acted like the man of his house

Thanks for the support guys. I'm not quite sure what to expect out of this istuation but I know that this has been going on for years and I am sick of it. Especially in MY house. We don't live like that in my house. There is no arguing, fighting or cursing......I definitely will let her make the first move but I really feel deep down like she thinks Darrell was wrong and expects something from me.....THAT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!!!!!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY Darrell! I say kick that kids a$$...HARD! Darrell is da man! I think he did the exact right thing. Maybe if someone had done it long ago he wouldn't be the mess he is today?

hello folks...

went to town to see new grandson...
he was born 3 1/2 weeks early..
...solomon james at 5lb 13 ozs..
he was in humid crib for a couple of days and now a week later is home with mum...
so every thing is now settling down again...
his last name is candy...so he probably will not be a low carber..hehe..

melly ...re your drama post...
that was a nasty experience...
are you going to repeat it again...when next you meet?...ie. nothing changes of it's own accord!

Melly... I am so sorry for that happening... and I am hoping that maybe your sister isn't calling cuz she is embarrassed not having better control over her son.... At least you hope she realizes that it was her sons fault as he was being so disrespectful to your family... I hope they also buy your girlie a new slinky toy. I think they need to apologize to you for sure... Sorry for the drama!!!

Cheri unfortunately NO she is not embarrassed, but rather mad at Darrell for "assaulting" her son. And mad at me because I have not called to see if Jourdan is alright. I actually plan to put this all to rest. I had 2 sleepless nights over it all and finally got a good nights sleep last night. My sister has and always will live in her own world.....my entire family recognizes this.....it is easier for her to place blame on someone else and then she doesn't have to accept her responsibility for her sons behavior and her lack of parenting. Life is too short for drama.....we don't have drama in our home and won't allow it. Therefore.....I am done with the entire drama scene!!!

Dawna maybe you can turn that man into a lowcarber after all

I am off today and have carpet cleaners coming at 9. So considering it is 8:20 I better head to the shower. Check back in later

Ok...well I am not a regular here..but Melly asked me to check out this thread...and of course..as we all know.."it's all about Melly" ok..and she is my best girlfriend also..so that might have had to do with me now being here and invading your space

Melly...I'm so sorry. But reality is..you KNOW your sister. This is just one of many dramas she started ( why would she bring him there if he had NO intrest in seeing the puppy??!!) and then let escalate and it ends up being "your fault" It sucks with family sometimes..because you don't choose family, yet your expected to love and like them. Your sister has some serious issues. She's what they call in AA a "dry drunk" or addict. Which basically means..yes, she's not doing drugs..but still living and acting as though she is. There is NOTHING you can do or say that will make her grow-up untill she is ready. Untill then...you do what you do best..protect your family! Darrell is a kind sweet man..and he was just protecting his family. Tell him I said " good for you!"

Personally, I'd not allow that kid back into my home untill he could show at least the same respect he should in a strangers home. That is the least he should be expected to do. If Darrell needs to appoligize for himself to better..then let him. An appology does not mean you we're not correct..it simply means your sorry for SOME of your actions. You have a great guy there Melly..but you alredy know that

I am really suffering with this stupid uti ! I go back tomorrow for a recheck but I took a at home test from AZO ~ and it shows I am still very much with infection!
the antibotics they put me on make me really sick to my stomach and give me a headache but they told me it would because it is so strong! I did not want to go on another week of them but if this sint gone I will have too!

Well enough about that~ I am doing good and I am going tot ry my best to get a gallon of water in for a couple of days at least to help with the infection!

as usual I am busy, busy, busy. the show is doing well, some lowcarbers are coming to see me next saturday. my eating has been so bad, I really need a good swift kick in my ass. but at least I am drinking protein shakes now, and eating a few veggies. if I don't get back on plan soon, I will start gaining again.

If this is "4 Life" we must all be dead C'mon everyone..get in here!

Tis a bit sad. There are a few people still interested and I happen to be one of them. However lately I have been crazy busy. I have needed an appointment to go potty......and if you drink as much water as I do that is not a good thing!!!!!!!!

My eating is exactly where I want it to be and I have lost a couple lbs in the last week or so so I am not complaining.

well the whole group has posted...and i wanted to but couldn't..

in chat the other night and a storm came...i quickly jumped out of chat and shut the satellite down...remember woody...his 'puter got hammered by lightning..

any way...26 hours later...some one turned the power back on..hoo bloody ray...

with the gas lamp and the BBQ...still managed to be atkins true...

rain has been good this year..we have 7 of our 10 inches already so things will be good for the croppers in our district...pastoralists are simply beaming..

How is everyone? Well I am happy to say that my scales are on the way back down Eating is on track and life is good. No complaints coming from my direction.

How was everyones weekend? Mine was good. I have a busy week ahead. Darrell leaves on Friday for California and won't be back until the 19th. Aliyah and I plan to have some Mommy and Baby Girl time.

The trees in Missouri are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! I can't believe the colors this years. Breathtaking to say the least. God is good.

Worked my butt off this weekend hauling out concrete from the basement. 3,000 lbs worth in 40-50 lb buckets. I thought I wouldn't be able to get out of bed yesterday but I really wasn't that sore. Go figure.

Parent teachers conferences tonight. I always get nervous about them but I don't know why - the kids always do good.

Weight has been stuck at 155 for awhile now. I really don' t know what to do to kick start back into losing.

Ty has been doing well still. Loss is slow but steady. He has had some candy this week but he still lost a pound. He is down 34 lbs now. I would really like him to lose about 10 more but if he doesn't that is fine. He will slim down more as he grows.

Well I went back to the dr. on Friday for him to tell me that I still had a uti ! and guess what yea he wants me to go to a urinoigist (sp?) I am kinda bumbed about it BUT what can I do ? I don't have the money to go at all~ it is like 290 up front then The Lord only knows from there witht he tests!

I want to start atkins induction I have been lowcarbing but no luck there! I honestly want a honest answer will I be ok as far as my kidneys go? I mean until they find out what is wrong? I have heard rumors of induction being rough on your kidneys is that true or just a rumor? they also put me on a stronger antibotic...

Melly I love seeing the lights a SDC!!! they are so pretty! the last time I was there was when I lost Faith Steve's boss sent us to get away but needless to say I was so heartbroken and still in a wheelchair ~ BUt I will say now that the heart is mended when I see Christmas lights I also think of my angel baby in heaven.... I didn't understand the gift from his boss then but now I do... I would love to go back with Becca and show her all the pretty lights !

I am excited about a lifestyle change and yes it scares me to start it right now but I need to get ahold I just can't wait to the day I let it stick ! I Will overcome myself one of these days!

Dawna I know waht you mean hun......you know I lost a little one several years ago.....he would have been 16 last month. But God chose him and I will see him again one day soon.

Now as for your eating......I think you will do fine as far as your kidneys go on induction.....be sure to drink your water like a good girl which you should be doing anyway.....especially if you tend to get UTI's anyway.

Red you should be so proud of Ty....he has done great and I am sure he will continue to do great. He is still a kid and he is gonna want to have things from time to time that kids have so no big deal. He is aware of what he needs to do and it sounds l**** he does great. Be proud mom.....you have got a great kid there

Getting ready for Darrell to leave and a weeklongfunfilled time with Aliyah....we are gonna have a blast together doing girlie things and basically whatever we feel like it.
