Biggest Loser Challenges for November
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. How are you doing on the Halloween challenge? Give yourself 100 points if you haven't eaten any Halloween candy in either October or November. Not a single itty bitty tiny little piece! 2. And speaking of holidays, what are you doing for Thanksgiving? Give yourself 50 points for planning ahead, and telling your team what your plans are. Where will you be eating, what will be served, what will you eat, what WON'T you eat, what will you do to stay out of the stuff you're going to avoid, what about leftovers, and so on. It doesn't matter what your plans are. All that matters here is that you planned ahead. Then give yourself another 50 points for reporting back to your team afterwards and telling how you did. Did you follow your plan? What worked and what didn't? What will you do differently next time? 3. Need a bit of extra motivation going into the holidays? Go to http://www.he.net/~zone/prothd2.html and compute your lean body mass at the beginning of the year and now. (You may have to guess about your beginning neck measurement.) Give yourself 10 points for every pound of lean body mass that you GAINED. These are the good pounds. 4. Finally, let's do another Make Your Own Challenge challenge. You know what works for you and what you need to work on. Design a challenge for yourself, tell your team about it, and let them know how you are going to allocate 100 points for the challenge. It can be a daily challenge (3 points every day you exercise) or a one-time challenge (100 points for staying out of Mom's pumpkin pie and sweet potatoes). Whatever you need to keep you eating low carb and healthy this month. And, of course, the regular on-going challenges.

I feel I am at an advantage this month with the challenges...... Halloween isn't really a big thing here (no extra candy in my house unless I buy it) and I sure don't do the "ThanksGiving" thing although I would like too,
you folks sure know how to cook up a feast! So theres an easy 150 points. And now since I have wanted to know, I have gained 12 pounds of lean body mass....Bingo, thats another 120 points! And the best thing about the fact that I have written everthing down since April 2004. I have my neck size and everything so I went back to have a look......I have lost 17% of my body fat and I have gained 28 pounds of lean body mass!!! And to be truthful.....I feel so much better for it!!! The last challenge I started 4 days ago....( I was trying to get back on track after my B/d) I am following the Body for Life exercise challenge....I'm sure I've said something about how sore I have been a couple of times now LOL! Even though it is a 12 week challenge I will count 4 weeks of it as my personal challenge for this month ( MAW? Can I do that please????) So I am good to go this month...anyone else wanna join me in the "shed"? I won't push you as hard as I push myself ![]() I was thinking I have to post my menu....see, new habit in 28 days. Home for a quick lunch.... they are painting the two bathrooms and fixing some electric problems we have been having.... so the house is tore up a tad.....
B. some chicken (ran out of bacon ) l. salad d will be a quick dinner of chicken and green beans. going to the Carolina Opry Christmas show this evening with 106 Red Hatters... should be a hoot LOL...... a sea of Red Hats.... It is just lovely here today.. in the hight 70's and sunny... wonderful..... Well, must get back to work... love y'all diana |

Hello Ladies
![]() I have thought a bit more about my "Make Your Own Challenge" challenge, and I have come up with this. I will get 3 points each day that I keep to the BFL exercise challenge. Thats working out 6 days a week and on the "rest" day I will do my pilates DVD. That totals to 90 points...the other 10 points I will have to work a little harder for....It's my DD's second birthday this month, wow only 10 days away now, and this time No cake for me!! If I go without that small slice of cake I get that extra 10 points....sounds fair too me! Oh and talking about DD.....guess who has been sleeping in the "big Girls bed" the last 3 night......... and No problems with her so far staying in bed....only when I put Ds into bed and read him a story, since they share a bedroom she gets out of her bed and crawls onto the end of his till the story is finished. Then she tries to get back out onto the sofa to watch the "show" but that doesn't happen in my house.......bedtime is bedtime!No bingo tonight.....but I am now going on Thursday night's instead....anything as long as I get out of the house for a couple of hours. Ok I'm off to get in my cardio workout and then start on roast lamb for dinner, Yum! Pennel |

I am all ready for the long run home..... Getting some Enthusiasm back into this challenge! Come on Girls, we came in second again.... Well done! Go Team Go.....Southernnnnnnnnnn Comfort!!!! ![]() Should I do my little cheerleaders..... Rah *\0/* Rah *\0/* Rah *\0/* Rah *\0/* ![]() I am feeling great... can anyone guess that.... I have finished my first week of the BFL exercise program and I can feel the diffrence. If you are struggling with your exercise, this is a great program......upper body weight workout on day 1. Cardio and only 20 minutes of it....albeit very intense 20 minutes. Day 3 is lower body workout. Day 4 back into that Cardio. Day 5 upper body and Day 6 get ya heart pumping with 20 minutes of Cardio. Day 7 is a rest day, but for me it's a pilates session. I am down 2 pounds already and building muscle and at the moment it doesn't matter to me as long as the fat goes and the lean body mass grows. I am healthier for it and I sure am a lot fitter as well. I gotta get Ds to take some more photo's of me cos I am going to see a big differance to my body in the next 12 weeks! Great! I have also gone back to 35g of carbs a day......I feel so much better eating the right mix of protein and carbs for me and after 2 months of eating less than 20-25g a day I really didn't lose that much weight did I....4 pounds in 2 months is a very slow weight loss....still a loss and I'll take it! When I really listen to my body I know that eating a more balanced diet my body thanks me for it, I feel better, I look better and I work better. Hey, busy at work again... it just never fails... we are sooo busy.. lots and lots of sick people.... and my bathroom is now done and lovely... I put up a new shower curtain... and purchased new towels and rugs... looks great...
I want my personal challenge to do my water exercise every day.... that will be a huge challenge for me.... I just do not want to go when I get home from work... tired out.. but I know that I will feel better if I just would get off my butt and go work out.... Say Pennel... good news about your DD and sleeping in her big bed.... Well, I am tired and it is late... was putting back my bathroom... so it is off to bed... love y'all diana

It is almost 4 am and I had to get up and have a coffee....I am going through a bad mode of self lately so I have to make an appt with my doc, nothing major just same ole same ole....all the kids except for Brandi are going to West Virginia this weekend and Ialways worry when they head out like that...I am a compulive worrier but then you all knew that LOL....Brandi goes in for her pre op tomorrow but I feel that the doctor will reschedule the surgery because she is very sick with the cold flu thing...PJ you are doing great...I will get to the body mass thing later today and see what mine is...and the candy challenge is an easy one for me too cause my kids dont live here LOL...Thanksgiving I have already been planning so that is a course I can deal with..but I do believe it is gonna be a big challenge for like you said PJ we sure do have a feast on that day LOL....make my own challenge will definately be in the exercise area...I finally got my hip hop dvd in and want to get started on that ....but my main thing is just to get in 30 minutes or more 6 days a week....I feel like I have run myself ragged the past 5 days but with no real structure in my exercise at all...so this will begin for me today and I will report on my outcome daily... 2005 definately wasnt my year to lose the weight I had desired to lose and meet my goals that I had intended but I will finish this year off with effort and structure to go into the new year ..... PJ a Happy early Birthday to your dd ...I love the twos, though they are called the terrible twos here I love them the most LOL...well I am off but will return in the evening to report in,,,another personal challenge is to post more, but I will see you all then ![]()

Hello Ladies....nice to read you with my morning decaf!
![]() My car is going in for a service today, so I am without a car all day.......lucky for me I can ride my bike now huh? LOL! I got in 45 minutes of pilates yesterday so I am right on track so far this month....little sore this morning and I have a lower leg wrokout to do today I'm going to do it though....right now a team of wild horses couldn't stop me!!Wish my bathroom was all nice and new Diana, we renovated our house and the bathroom was the first room we started on and after 7 years it is not finished....now it just needs to be fully renovated again........once I get the other bathroom built, then we can pull the old one apart, again. I'm not going to go through another 4-5 days without a bathroom, and now with kids it just isn't going to happen. DD is dong very well in the big girls bed and since she isn't 2 yet! I am sure DS was about 2 1/2 before we got him into a big bed....... Oh Elisa you can have my DD if you love the terrific two's ![]() Thats the way I am thinking too Elisa.....didn't get the amount of weight off this year but I am giving myself the best start for next year........I know that my journey is Not going to be over at the end of any given year.....My live is my journey. Hey ladies, a quick "hi" for Saturday. We have just gone from dial up to broadband and we have a few bugs to iron out....nothing is ever easy! And I could go missing for a day or 2 till we work out the problems we have got now....although I must say it is a lot faster.
I am sore today (around the abs) but still got in my cardio workout. I also have a "new Do' my g/f came over today and she asked what I wanted and I just said do as you like....so she did, it is different from the cut and style she gave me 2 months ago. Looks good Pennel |

Good Morning team, wow what a hectic couple of days it has been here....during the title search of my property it came up with 2 judgements against it and one was my brothers but three years after I bought it so they had to take that one off and one of my fiancee... a judgement for 8oo dollars from the local courthouse ...hmmmm this was a strange one so after lots of running around and lots of phone calls seems that the judgement was for a guy with the exact name as my fiancee but in a different town ..different birthdate and different social.....they really should input more than just a name on these searches...anyway this other guy was in his 20s and the judgement was for possession of stolen property....so now I have to go to the courthouse Monday and get a copy of the wrong guys judgement for the loan company LOL LOL but it will delay this getting done for a littel more I bet
.......Okay I went to my doc yesterday for my regular visit and she added a new med that she thinks will help me out and decreased another one I am on...she also let me know that my OCD med is probably a big culprit in my battle with the bulge...she mentioned taking me off of it later on but not sure how I will do without it.....nothing with my diet is going well at this time so I have a lot of work to do on myself right now...its like I cant find my path and stick with it so time to really get demanding of myself.............Tuesday is the day they doo Brandis surgery and I am praying that it will all be okay and she will be healthier and happier afterwards...she did lose 7 pounds and was very happy about that and I was proud of her too.......the bf is at a fishing tournament today and I will ride down there once the house is clean and I have showered and I may take a good long walk on teh trail while I am there.....and I may go window shopping too....well I am off here for now and will talk later on.... ![]() |

HI, well finally have a chance to post today.... have been really busy.... again I just love
my bathroom,, looks great and everything is in its place...Trying to do alot for our Christmas party in December.... we have around 35 to 50 friends and neighbors come for our party... it is a great time... so I want to have everything in the house to sparkle.... so I am decluttering and throwing out stuff that is old, broken, or just never used ....... and as I go around the house and do this... it really makes me smile So I have been busy today..... and I went to the health point and have a great workout in the water... and it was just me in the therapy pool... so I really had a good time with my exercises. Then came home and worked some more on the house.. then we all went to dinner at TFI Fridays and had a great shrimp and chicken dinner.. then to home depot to get a new toilet seat and some mums for the entrance way of our home outside... the flowers look great and now I am winding down and will do some stuff on my computer..... Tomorrow we are off to a Red Hatters Tea and there will be around 250 Red Hatters there.... what a hoot...... and the weather is great ... today it was 75 and this evening is going to be 55...... so we are having a great November... I just love this weather.... my sons in Michigan are starting to get cold and I know that snow is not far behind for them... they can keep it...LOL Well, y'all have a great Sunday.... love ya diana |

Good evening and morning ladies....Pawleys I know how good it feels to have a newly redecorated toom...I still have 4 to go LOL...2 bathrooms and avery little bedroom and another bedroom....whew it is a lot of work and ther is only me to do it except the floors bf will help with that ....the past tow days have been well and on track and today I went and got my hair cut....love it but now I have to color it again LOL have to hide that gray ya know LOL...I love getting a new haircut especially when it is done well...this was a new girl at a new shop and I think I will keep her....my old stylist closed shop and I have been just letting it grow except to trim it myself...more like scalp it LOL...a busy week begins with tomorrow,,,have a little errand running to do and then Tuesday is Brandis surgery
....I made a post this morning but it didnt stick my PC or the ISP was acting up....anyway just wanted to drop in and say HI to you all..so off I go and take care ladies ![]() |

Good motnig and evening Laides of the SC...yes I am in a good mood cause I just finished chatting with PJ....
...always puts me in an up mood...3 days super clean with eating no mishaps at all.....water great e3xercise OK...so got to work on that now...and I do mean now!!!!.....I am doing some self therapy and PJ was my serrogate therapist today I have told her I need her every morning and every evening for that matter...hey PJ how would you really feel about putting me on a regular schedule say at least 5 times a week...you set the time I will be sure to be on here....at least for 3 weeks til the habit sets in good ..... morning evening I dont care just tell me when to be there LOL.....Pawley I too want to come to your house for the party....I never get to go anywhere special and to come to your house I would be getting a lot accomplished LOL....never seen the beach so that would be on the list of things to do....tell me more about the red hatters too Pawleys I see them alot at the YMCA....Susie Q where are you ...you are so very missed here girl....I amgoing to make the time in between errands today to hit the gym thanks to the therapy from PJ....I dread it cause I havent been in a while but cant wait either cause I always feel like a million when I leave there....tomorrow is Brandis surgery so please say a prayer and or send good karma her way.....well I am off have lots to do today,,,,bye 4 now ![]() |

Good Morning Evening!
Well Elisa now we have broadband as soon as I turn on the PC I'm online....most school days around this time....between 8:10 and 8:40 am my time I have my morning coffee and come and check emails and read/post here......not that I run a Tight ship or anything it's after we get Ds on the school bus and have our little walk Dd and I. And then once coffee and brekky is downed I have watering to do before it gets any hottter.....I will be getting up earlier as summer comes....I can see myself now, out in the veggie patch at 5am.... Or you we can try most nights around the same time....after I feed, bath, put to bed and read a story to the kids I am finished and in "My Time" around 8 every night, other than bingo nights of course.....that works out well....after 8 am or Pm.....just so we don't confused ourselves with the 12 hour differance! ![]() I was up at 6am and in my shed doing my lower body work out this morning I have a Huge day today and night and just won't be able to find the time today to do it. ......Jiggle bugs in 20 minutes....home for lunch and a nap (thats dd's nap time, I'll be preping dinner) and at 2:40 I pick Ds up for school to go to basketball for an hour...so it will be around 5 before we are home again and to eat dinner quickly bath and be back out the door at 6:15 to take Ds to his End of school year concert. WHEW!! DH and DD aren't coming to the concert...it doesn't finished till nearly 10 pm and that's way to late for Dh and DD! He really wants to come but things its stupid to have it on a Tuesday night....I think so too cos there is now way I am going to be able to get Ds up at 7am tomorrow morning....I know he is just like his father.....loves his 10-12 hours of sleep.......lucky for some huh, I can't sleep that long.......my bladder doesn't let me!Ok gotta go! AH! Yesterday was not as busy as it was going to be.......basketball was cancelled....so while DD was napping, I took the time to push up a few ZZZZ myself......The concert was Great.....A lot of time, work and effort went into the whole night and My sons school really has some very talented kids! He hasn't gone to school today, he woke half an hour after the bus drove passed!
For me it was a good night....at least 3 people who I know walked straight passed me with that "is that Penny?" look in their eyes. And just about everyone I talked too loved what I have done with my hair.....maybe next time my hairdresser friend comes over I won't say "Oh do what you like with it" maybe I'll stick with this cut for a while.....seems to get people looking and hey there is nothing better than complements! How did Brandi's Op go Elisa? How are you going, Mom? How was the Red hatters Diana? How's life going for you Suzie, still busy I take it? Hey Ladies, I'm back!
![]() Anyone would think I am going for max points this month on my posting.....I have missed one day so far. Well yesterday was My weigh in day...I'm down to a new low....256.8 lbs! The .8 cos from the math working out 116.5kg = 256.8385 lbs LOL! I hope I have lost some inches this month too. I sure know I am working hard on my workouts.....that 20 minutes of cardio every other day is intense and leaves me soaked with sweat! And I have upped the weights on some of the exercises on the weight machine already.....pushing 60 lbs on bench presses now anyone wanna call me a big bi*ch now???? I had been wondering whether my machine was in lbs or Kg's ( I can't find the book! ) And being Aussie, kgs was my first thought. Till I was pushing heavier weights and thought.....If this is 60kg then I am bench pressing 132lbs......I don't Think so! I may be stronger but not that strong!!! ![]() Today I am going to do at least 45 minutes of pilates.....What are you going to do for Thursdays Exercise?? Bingo tonight.....I hope I win $50 again like I did last week! Be very handy right about now with DD birthday on Saturday! Ok I'm out of here......I have already done my watering, just gotta throw some dishes into the dishwasher and I am done with the inside for today.....lovely sunny 73*F today....Dd and I are going out to enjoy it! Ladies??? Hello......(Hello) Echo........(Echo) LOL!
I know we all get busy....and I have been missing for a few days before as well. I'll just keep on typing....I know yuou will get in here sooner or later and read all my babbling LOL! I did get in my 45 minutes of pilates yesterday and I must be getting better cos I can do most of the exercises now and I am not as sore this morning....thats a good thing. I've got my upper body workout to do today....hopefully while Dd is napping. Water and food has been as good as my exercise......I am really focused at the moment, can you all tell? I only gotta lose 40 odd pounds in this last 2 months to catch up and pass Neveragain to become the "biggest loser" LOL! ![]() I have been thinking about the year to come and since I am now on a 12 week exercise challenge and enjoying it, I think that next year I will take on 4 of these challenges. That way I can have a week off after each one (not really a week off but not as intense exercising for that week) and that way I get in 4, I might even end up over on the exercise board and commit to 1000 minutes (although I get in 1500-2000) of exercise each month. It has been 53 weeks since I started exercising, or finding "30" everyday and I'm going to tally all my minutes up....just too see what I have worked........ I'm that kinda gal ![]() I'll be in late tomorrow (Saturday) DD birthday and we are all going to the pool for a swim in the monring....not that I'll be donning togs just yet.....and then having family over in the afternoon. Not really having a "party" for her this year, although there will be a 2 candled cake Which I am NOT having any of!!!!Ok dishes, washing and all those other great jobs are waiting for me ![]() I hope all is ok with everyone.....read ya later!
