OK guys Tony had a great idea........since we don't have alot of activity on this thread lately we will just make this a monthly thread......I kinda see that it might continue to fall off but there are a few of us that want and enjoy being here. So this thread will continue until the first of November and then I will begin a new thread.
Guys one reason I really need this thread is because weightwise I have not been doing great. I have gained about 15 pounds.....despite all the walking I am doing. I NEED the encouragement you guys bring. Going into winter is tough....but I am walking everyday and hanging in there. I am considering induction *gag* But I need to do whatever I need to do to get the rest of this off ![]()

Melly - I know what you mean. I just can't seem to get back down to my 145. I really don't want to do induction either. You had good luck on the meat and egg fast before. WOuld you recommend that? I don't think that sounds good either but... I thought maybe if I would start exercising that would help get me out of this rut. It is hard to find the time though. Seems I have things to do every night.
The funeral went well. I enjoyed seeing DH's relatives, with the exception of a couple. LOL. Gained a couple of lbs over the weekend. Too many nuts on the drive. Hopefully it is just water retention. A friend of mine gave me a HUGE box of low carb candy. The box is about the size of 2 cases of pop. I am going to throw it in my freezer but it is dangerous to have around. Wish me luck. |

sorry I have not been around. I am not doing well. I have right sided weakness and my right side fatigues easier than my left. I cant stop the weight loss, the dr ran tests, no results yet. I am trying to eat, but still losing. My legs are very weak and muscles are cramping. I amm still in the show, I just take extra pain med when I go, but its only once or twice a week now, so I should be ok. I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Awww Roro.......you can't stop losing and I would give ANYTHING to lose
I'm only kidding of course....I know your loss is due to illness and I don't want to lose it that way. I hope some day they figure out what is going on with you girl. Red I do NOT recommend Stillman's. It is short term and the loss doesn't usually stay. Portion control is something else I have been working on. And I have to admit that I think the real answer is exercise. I know what you mean about not having enough time in the day. That is one of the reasons I am so thankful for my new job situation, more time. But if you don't manage your time then you will find yourself like me with something always taking my free time away. Red I really hope you come over to the exercise thread.....you will like it. And I will make a deal with ya.....we can work harder at this together.....deal? ![]() |

Hello Melly and Red and Roro...
Roro sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well... hopefully the tests will give you some answers... Red and Melly, you should really look into some weight resistance routines... maybe I shouldn't be stepping in here but I am still hovering around the 170-172 mark but have went to size 8 and 10's and some 12's and I am now wearing 4's and 6's and a few 8's... I am starting not too worry TOO much about the scale... of course it is still there... BFL is a good starting point for lifting weights... BFFM is even better, more advanced... they each have an eating plan but I am still doing Atkins... more/less pre-maintenance/maintenance... I am FINALLY starting to like my upper body... my lower body still needs some help but by judging by my clothes and my bodyfat which I have learned is more important than the scale number I am finally becoming more content... With me wearing 4 and 6's I can swallow the reading of the scale of 172 a lot better than 170 wearing 10 and 12's... Just some food for thought... Mandy great pic!! Okay I am leaving now...

Hi to my fellow kilos!
OK..it's time someone kicked some butt in here and with Dano off galavanting somewhere in Turkey/Italy/Spain or god knows where I'll assume the responsibility
![]() Unless you have 16 kids, 3 full time jobs and 7 aging parents that require round the clock care, you have NO EXCUSES for not finding the time to exercise!!!!!! There is always time..you simply have to MAKE it! I use my half hour lunch break to exercise..running, weights, whatever....I do some of the funny little things we do on the exercise challenge in the ladies room at work when I have to answer the call of nature and some mornings I get my lazy a$$ out of bed earlier to fit in my exercise. I DO WHAT I HAVE TO DO...and you can too! Unless you don't want it badly enough Hehehe..I make a good devil's advocate, don't I?Melly and Red..I DO understand your frustration. Why don't you both post exactly what you eat tomorrow in great detail and maybe we can all put our heads together and see what's going on. Afterall, we all want to see each other succeed, right? But remember.."I can't find the time" is an excuse...NOT a reason. I work full-time, have more kids and younger kids than either of you, do EVERYTHING that needs to be done in my family and have a laid up dh and I still make the time...can you??? YES!!!!!!!!!!!! We're here for ya ladies! Mandy PS...I like the idea of a once a month thread ![]() |

My dr went up on the frquency I change the patch with my pain medicine, and I feel a little better. I have been eating a little more, enough to maintain now I hope.
I am going to try to do the exercises like the dr said, but I feel like I am getting weaker instead of stronger. the show is doing good. |

i did OK with my exercises yesterday. I just gotta keep it up.
I guess my goals are different now. They were "do lowcarb, get some exercises, lose wieght" Now they are "maintain weight, eat healthy foods (still lowcarb but more fruits and whole grains than before), and do the specific muscle strengthening exercises from PT" But it still takes self discipline, motivation, etc. did a lot of people move off to a different challenge? or just busy and not posting as much? chat is empty too. |

Hello everyone.
Roro - glad to hear you are feeling a little better. Dawna - Have a great anniversary - great form of exercise planned Melly - I still am planning on checking out the other group - just haven't had time Mandy - I know I could get up earlier and exercise but I haven't wanted it that bad yet, I guess. Nice to see you Julie. Feel free to enlighten us from time to time. I checked out the BFL site and got a few ideas. I was thinking I should follow the daily plan but tweek it so I am doing lower body twice a week and upper once a week. What do you think? BTW, what is BFFL? |

BFFM is Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle... it is a great program... I am not sure if I can post the link though so to play it save I won't...
As far as BFL I have learned that is best to follow it the first 12 weeks to a T-- I have found better the results to be better... When you finish the 12 weeks and you didn't see the full results that you wanted then it is okay to tweak as you want to see if you get better ones... I think you would really like it... HIIT is an awesome cardio session... it is ONLY 20 minutes and VERY effective... About your menu, and again this is just MY opinion, but where are your veggies? You need to have your veggies... Low carb and atkins both are that... low carb NOT the dreaded nationwide assumption that it is NO carb... Enjoy those veggies!!! I want to thank Mandy for an awesome post... YOU have to make time to exercise... when I am not out of commission like I am now I get up at 4:30 every morning... I am in my garage by 5 a.m. and done working out by 6/6:15.. I do lifting and cardio back to back... I know that I could dothem in the afternoon but after work, getting the kids from school, helping with homework, doing supper, and Ter being gone a lot with school, I would find a way to not have "time" or maybe the energy to workout... I do not take that chance... We all have 24 hours in a day... we have to make the most of those hours... We mostly all have kids that need us but we have to do thngs for ourselves too... it took a long time for me to realize that I wasn't being selfish or inconsiderate for me wanting to work out but I am better for it and so isn't my family... So make the time!!!! Okay aren't you sorry that I popped in here today?! Take care! |

Friday - well this week went by pretty quickly. Lots of stuff to do this weekend. Going to put laminate in my parent's kitchen. Should be a lot of bending and stretching. LOL.
Mandy - Lay off on my diet coke girl. LOL. Seriously, I had lettuce with my taco salad and yesterday I added a cole slaw I make so I did get some veggies. |

Hi everyone!
I am doing OK. I have a bladder or kidney infection, and I am on antibiotic. Its really strong, and makes me nauseous, but they said as long as I don't throw it up I don't have to go in the hospital. If I start throwing it up, I gotta go in and be on IV antibiotic. i am gonna try atking compazene suppositories for the nausea. I have a show tomorrow night. Tonight I am gonna just chill out here at home. Tommy is in ocean city for the weekend doing two gigs, tonight and tomorrow. hope everyone is doing good! |
