"All I Want For Christmas Challenge" week of October the 2nd

Well..it's not quite Sunday for me yet, but I know it is for all of you and since I'm going to be out of town for most of Sunday (being a good lacrosse mom) I didn't want you all to wait too long for a new thread!

First let me say AWESOME on the wall-ups everyone!!!!!!! With so many reports of sore arms, you must have discovered this is a great exercise...now, keep it up even though that week is over and HN is going to lead us in the next new one for this week!

So..set your day-by-day goals today, start posting your menus and keep up all the new feature exercises! Eventually this has to pay off, right?

Here are mine :

Sunday..nada..rest day
Monday: 20 minute treadmill run, 300 wall-ups, 50 ball crunches and whatever HN says..lol
Tuesday: 4 km walk, 300 wall-ups, 50 ball crunches, HN thing
Wednesday: 20 minute treadmill run, 300 wall-ups, 50 ball crunches and HN thing
Thursday: 20 minute treadmill run, 300 wall-ups, 50 ball crunches and HN thing
Friday: 4 km walk, 300 wall-ups, 50 ball crunches, HN thing
Saturday: nuttin' honey

I'm going to stick to a strict induction at no more than 1200 calories and lower fat. I'm not going to aim so high for my water as at my weight the usual 8 glasses (64 oz ) is enough (half my body weight in ounces) and for one week I'm going to try to be in bed earlier...I'm geting too tired and I know that hinders weightloss.I will weigh tomorrow morning as I feel like I'm up a wee bit (not sure why though ) and then not again until next Sunday. I WILL have a clean week!

Now I'm off to bed..cya !

Love you all..Mandy

Morning Everyone! I'm early to rise again and already did my 50 "wallies", 50 crunches on ball, and upper back thigh lifts (25 e/leg on ball...and on 2nd load of laundry! WOW feels like its gonna be a high energy day!

Yesterday eating and water was right-on-target ~ did snack a little last night but nothing drastic like last Sat. night ~ just enough to get "me bod thinkin whats goin on?"

Oh and by the way ~ don't know if I'm diggin the yocheese I made. Maybe I'm not mixin the right combo with it yet for my liking - havent tried strawberries and blueberries yet but just not gettin it - I am however in with blue bunny carbfreedom and lite 85 - wonder if I'm still gettin the same "yogurt benefits" in it as in yocheese compared to the hassle and $ and still need additional add-ins you need ~ heck I get the bluebunny containers for .33 each at Wally and they are to die for a must try is Key Lime!

Ok - nuff for now..........I plan to have a week of eating on plan, my ball exercises, wallies (arms not quite as sore today ), and HN's new one, and promise myself to do them EVERYDAY!

Sinny ~ good to see u posting ~ nice pic ~ I need to figure out how to do it!

Thanks for the for my dad ~ he is on his way to wellness.

Hope you all have a great Sunday ~ I will be back in later prolly

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Goals for the week are same as always. Will continue with the arm/wall exercises and whatever HN says. I have not been on the dreadmill this week at all and truthfully, maybe never again. I would rather do wall push ups or anything else that Major Mandy suggests...

Going out for steak and shrimp buffet at Golden Coral today. A half a plate of shrimp makes a whole plate loaded with breading. I can't believe I used to eat that junk. So glad to know better now. Having BBQ ribs cooked over oak wood for dinner with green beans and sliced tomato. I do realize that only accounts for 2 meals today but the lunch will be an early one so skipping breakfast just this once. I normally make a point to have something... Saving room for the shrimp!

I hope you all have a great day!

Ok, Are you all ready for my exercise Bawhahahaha

We are going to concentrate on the lower body.... The dredded poochie It is the area all of us women can't stand, you know "I lay down it lays beside me thing." Well, anyway you men need to work on that area as well! Don't forget to keep doing your arm exercises as well.

Here goes...

If you have a weight bench wonderful, if not lay on your bed, coffee table (if its solid wood, not glass) I want you to brace yourself while laying on your back. Put your arms over your head and hold something stable that won't move. Have your rear at the edge of what you lay on and with feet together or crossed I want you to row your legs out from your body. 3 sets of 10 each. I normally do it as much as I can till I poop out! This works your lower abs that are hard to reach, you know that pooch is the last thing to go... The results are amazing but in the beginning your tummy will feel like its going to fall on the floor the next few days. You will appreciate the results later. You don't want to lose that weight and have that part left do you?

Ok eating legal, I'm downsizing my portions some trying to shrink my tummy. I'll post more later I need to get back outside and WORK!!

Luv you all, Jeanie

Move your legs up, away from your body, down, then back towards your body. In a rowing motion ... instead of you sitting up rowing a boat with your upper body moving, its your lower legs moving that way. Here is a pic of me doing it at the gym. My husband taught me this, he used to have his clients do this same exercise and it really does wonders for the pooch.

hi every one.
I'm sure going to miss each and everyone of you. I'll miss your support, the inspiration the wisdom, the spirit of togetherness, the encouragement, the laughter and fun.

I'll be away of and on for a few weeks and then there will be no access to the computer for a few weeks so it looks like I'll be away for 3-4 weeks.

However I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers KUTGW. we did sign up with HN and mandy they beguiled us with laughter and tears and now we have to pay them them in flab you have to love these task masters.

Mandy the bat wing excersise yes I'm doing them as many as I can not much pain yet but I'm going to measure my arms. here is how I do my routine boiling eggs 5x3 bat wings cooling eggs 3x3 peeling eggs and before eating 5x3 after eating eggs 20x3 waiting for the rinse cycle 20x3
he he he he he and yes before bed time 5x3.

now for HN killers .......... the repeats are 10x !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!well will surely try one and build to ten before I can count the repeats to remove this flab

The above exercises with my 4 mile WATP with 3lb weights all the way and the 8min work out with Billy blanks which I 'm still struggling with will just have to see me through till till christmas that's my nest christmas wish no more suggestions till after christmas

During the time I'll be away I'll try my very best to stay on induction type food within 1200 calories.Drink my water half my body weight in ounces and another 8oz for every 25lb I want to lose. Green tea as much as possible.
When Bubba, and Billy from chat return while I'm away please convey my regards to them . Take care you all bye

Now I need your prayers...dh has been in a car crash..one of his workmates has called to tell me this and that there are injuries, I've spoken to the attending RCMP and all they could tell me is he is being ambulanced to ER...he's not there yet..his employer and some more of his co-workers are on their way to the hospital... I can't get there as he had our car and it's parked in town...we live in a totally separate town from where he works Not knowing anything is the worst but our friend Dave who is on his way is going to phone me when he knows something. I'm going to phone the hospital again

HN - I guess I do not know how to row...never tried that! mMsscarbsalot doesn't get it either...two heads did not help. Is it like pedaling a bike in air off the end of a weight bench?
Great pic BTW but I was only teasing dear <grin> never thought you'd do it!!!!

Thank you Sherry your prayers worked

One of dh's co-workers is coming out here to get me to take me to the hospital. He has bad whiplash and cannot move his neck at all but they are letting him come home. Apparantly it was a head on collision and the other car crossed the center line. The car is wrecked and the car that hit him is destroyed but I think he said those people were ok.

Thank goodness I have my wonderful oldest son to look after the younger two for me right now..don't know what I'd do without him

We're home now. DH is ok but in considerable pain. Upper back and neck injuries, really bad whiplash. They gave him an injection for pain but didn't send him home with anything...he's gonna be real sore in the morning. He was unconcious briefly so we'll have to watch him very carefully for 24 hours. The ERP wanted to keep him overnight but he said no he wanted to come home. His co-workers were wonderful! They kept me constantly informed until they could get me down to Victoria to get him...I couldn't have asked for better help..what a wonderful bunch of men. He is truly blessed to have such good friends.

I'll 'see' you all tomorrow...sleep sweet until then

Mandy

Mandy thank goodness....it could have been worse. He will be even more sore today and even worse tomorrow. What happened exactly? He is in my prayers.

OK I need prayers too.....for being so STOOPID!!!!!!! So I am walking last night, for the second time yesterday......and as I am walking this little kitten appears from out of no where. And it is cute and crying and I pet it You can literally feel its hip bones and spine. It is hungry and very sweet. It has a huge patch missing out of the top of its head and its eye looks funny. I think it was hit by a car. So I pet it for a while and continue to walk. And it begins to FOLLOW me ALL the way home!!!!!!!!

Well I couldn't stand to see the poor thing so hungry so you know what I did DAMMIT!!!! It is still out there this morning Aliyah is gonna freak when she wakes up and that kitten is still out there. She was so worried about it last night......now how in the heck am I gonna get rid of this cat?

Mandy - OMG! I just read about your DH and glad to hear that he's home and doing ok. I'd definitely be on the phone in the morning to his doctor to have him get checked out and get something for pain.

Melly - Sounds like you have the same yard sign in front of your house as my parents do that only aminals can read... "Animal Lover Lives Here"

Sorry I've been AWOL guys, been busy going through things that we brought back from where I used to live before moving back to the Louisville area and planning for my wedding. Finally got the clothes all sorted through (have a HUGE box to take to Goodwill now ) and now I have the boxes of stuff that came from the kitchen to go through. Looks like Goodwill is gonna LOVE me this week Who knew one person could accumulate so much STUFF???

As for eating and exercise, those are going ok so far, but am watching portion sizes a bit more as I still need to lose a little more before alterations are started on Dec 2nd. Sound like those ab exercises are exactly what I need as well as last week's "wallies"

I'll try to drop in when I can but I've been going a little nuts with the wedding plans as it's now less than 3 months until the big day.

Good Morning Challengers!!

MANDY...thank goodness all is well, I hope DH recovers quickly...and quietly (hehehe) men can be such babies at times, although this one will be quite justified!!

HN...WHAT????????? I am trying to picture this as your pic didn't come thru for me and I am drawing a blank. All I can come up with is lying on the edge of the bed, drawing my knees up toward my body and then extending them outward, but...this doesn't sound like what you are describing...HELP!?!?!

Exercise goals for the week:

M-F 10 miles/30 minutes on bike AM & PM
M-F 200 wall push ups
M-F 200 ball crunches (100 am & 100 pm)
M-W-F UBWO w/freeweights
T-TH LBWO (lunges, squats, leg lifts and that HN thingy...)

Ok...quarterly inventory day...back to work, will check back later and hopefully someone will be able to let me know how I am supposed to do that HN thing.....

Mandy I'm so sorry about your DH, I know just how you feel, its a helpless feeling when you can't get to the ones you love in a bad accident and then when you can get to them it seems like forever. Remember my DD Lauren has been in 3 wrecks!!! Oh what a bad feeling..... I see hes home now and I wish him an easy recovery, hope nothing serious develops out of this.

Yes Sherry like peddling a bike but you keep your legs together. Like both legs are peddling both sides...... Does this help explaine it beach? My DH was a trainer at Golds and he said this is an awsome workout for the pooch. It does work but it kills the gut in the beginning.

Melly keep the dang kitty and let me know what you name it lol

Hang in there Mandy!

Take good care of your patient, sounds like he's going to be cranky for a few days. I won't make light of whiplash, the back is the worst thing to hurt because it hurts no matter what other parts of you you're moving. Glad he didn't have any broken bones though!

getten, we'll miss you hon, hurry back!

Even with the picture I'm not visualizing this exercise very well HN... Shelly got me doing some thing that are like leg lifts only they go all the way up to about a 90 degree angle, then hold it and back down, they're a killer... sounds like a lot of the same motion as these.

I'm happy to report that I managed to get back on track yesterday (well, really since Thursday exercise-wise)... I jogged about 7 miles and ate fairly clean. I went and got groceries so I have no excuse for eating out this week either. I marinaded a steak and did it on the grill last night with some green beans, it came out yummy. This morning I got up and did 120 of the ball crunches and 20 of the floor pushups like you're doing your wallies. Oww.

So, here's the plan:

Monday - 120 ball crunches, arms with dumbells
Tuesday - jog
Wednesday - ball crunches and dumbells
Thursday - Jog
Friday - ball crunches and dumbells
Saturday - fly to Vegas for the weekend, eat at buffets, gamble

I've never been to Vegas, decided it was time to go. Not sure what I'll do there on my own for three days, but chances are I'll find some mischief to get into.

Hey! Today is 6 weeks of no drinking. I bought some non alcoholic beer to get me through football yesterday, and I put all my booze away where I can't get at it. Now I'm on to my next task, less time on the internet...

Good luck this week elves! I'm proud of you all for stepping up to exercise! Sinny, get back on track, that's an order! Tippy, you WILL get on the dreadmill again, you need exercis
