Well, today was a lazy day. Got up with the best of intentions but did not do in exercise per say. The day is not over yet, and I have been drinking lots of water at least. Oh, and I want to mention on one of my two scales at home, the numbers have been consistently weighing me at 299 and 298 in the mornings. Now the other scale says 305 and it use to be about 10 pounds off of the doctors office scale. So, I think I am going to have to run by the doctors office scale and weigh myself. I know if I can just break 300 that I will lose this mental block and start letting go of the rest of this weight!!! My goal is 170, give or take a few pounds BUT if I get under 199 it will be so AWESOME. I know that I WILL get under 199 but some days it just seems so far away. Do you know, once I break into the 200s I will have lost 150+ pounds? Amazing to me. I put my wedding dress on and it was falling off of me. It was SO huge on me. I can't believe it but I really could have put another person in there.
Well, just keep plugging away everyone. Someday we will be where we want to be. And I want to be healthy!!!

Hello all, I have been doing rotten, I am not giving up though, I want to lose 70 lbs before March 10th, because we are going to the Grand Cayman Island, and I don't want to go this big, that is 10 lbs per month or 2 1/4 pounds per week, very duable. I will try very hard this week to get back on track.
Hope everyone is doing well, I am going to try walking 1 hour per day every day. This is suppose to be great exercise. Talk to all of you later. |

Where does the time go??? I thought I was on every day but yesterday...It appears I have missed 3 days. Sigh! Time flies when you are overwhelmed with life!!!
I am doing alright, exercising, eating what I should. The weight doesn't seem to be moving but my clothes are getting bigger so SOMETHING must be working. Just keep doing what you know is right I guess. Take care all! |

Hello all. I have decided to start a new program. Michael Thermans six week body makeover. Does that mean I have to leave the team. The only thing that will really change is my carb intake which really is not all that diff. I just need to try something new.

Hi everyone, I am not doing so well, I have managed to gain back 18 lbs of my 36 lba loss, I am try to get back on LC this week, I don't want to gain back everything I have tried so hard to lose, I hate the way I feel when I eat carbs, I am tired, I have indigestion, I am crabbier to my family, I want to eat all the time, I hate this, I am reading a book called everything they don't want you to know about, he has some good Ideas about weight loss, like why are all other countries less heavier then ours, is it because of all the processed stuff that goes into our foods, I am trying to eat Organic and raw foods only to see if that helps. He even expalins the way restaurants make there salads look good all day long, they soak there lettuce in chlorine water and then set it out for us to eat, that would be poison. He has some interesting points to share. I hope to be back on track, so I can get rid of these 18 lbs by the middle of October, if not before.
I think you can stay with us Georgia, or was that Maria talking to us, We all have the some goal in mind, weightloss. Lolar I am so glad you are able to stay on track, I just need to get it through my head that this is the only way I am eating LC or nothing. With that in mind I would be able to make it. With so much temptation around us it is harder then quitting smoking. I know this for a fact. Talk to all of you later.

It was me (Maria). And I agree with you about the carbs. I feel like a big slug cause I havent been eating right or drinking my water. I also agree about processed foods. You know I dont know why everyone gives Atkins sucha hard time. The Therman eating plan is also low carbs although it does allow you to have a little fruit. It is mostly fish or chicken, lots of greens, a baked potato and some fruits.
Mom and Dad are having a good time in Georgia. They went for the family renuion and will be back on Thur. Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow. Maria

Hi everyone, hope all is going well, I did better today, not as many cravings, but did have to many carbs about 50 which is much better then 300-400 I have been eating, I am going to do better tomorrow, I hope everything goes well for you Maria, the plan does look interesting and maybe a few more carbs will do you good. I think sometimes I feel so deprived that I cave in and eat to many carbs and then just give up and keep eating, terrible habit to fall into. I will lose the weight I gained and keep on trucking from there.
Talk to all of you later. |

Hello, glad you are both working on it....that is all you can do is try try try. As far as staying on plan goes...well I go off sometimes but it is usually in the form of too much legal stuff (nuts, lc ice cream, lc treats) By doing this I only lose a pound or so a month BUT it keeps me from totally derailing. I am way to scared to gain back the 140+ pounds that I have lost. You know, when I feel deprived I eat wings and blue cheese....as many as I want...some times 15 or more and I feel SICK but I don't feel deprived. Also I will go out and by myself a rib eye steak and grill it. It is pretty hard to feel deprived when I am eating that way. Of course, that can be kind of expensive so I try not to have steak more than once every two weeks. Frequently I make crustless pizza....fish fried in pecans and parmesian. I just make stuff that makes me feel happy. Sure, I understand that food shouldn't make me happy but it does. I can't really change that...all I can change is WHAT types of food make me happy.
Nell, I usually do 30 to 50 carbs a day with the average of 40 most of the time. I don't lose fast, but I don't gain and I don't feel deprived. Maybe you should try to stick to around 50 for a while and see how that does for you? Just a thought. If you feel deprived you will not stick to any plan, so your goal is to figure out what things make you feel like you are NOT being deprived. Good luck with the new plan Maria. It does sound fairly low carb with the exception of the potatoe. Even potatoes are too bad as long as you limit them. I hope this plan does what you need it too! |

Hello, Made it back from my first weekend training. I have 2 more to attend, one in October and one in November. I am training to become a hypnotherapist...it is so interesting. It was a wonderful weekend but I did miss the kids. Was glad to get home with them but I can't wait to learn more!
Eating is about the same....my water intake has been AWFUL though lately. I am barely getting in 64 oz a day. For me I have to eat right and drink at least 100 oz if I want to lose weight. Guess that is my goal today is to get in 100 oz...I will go drink some NOW!!! |

Nell, if I could do it over the phone...or you can always come to OHIO! I do plan on working on WOE with people, exercise, weight loss, smoking cessation and stress management.
Congrats on the 3 days of exercise! I have made a promise to walk 5 miles every for 7 days. I started Monday and have an extra 2 miles going into the weekend! Woo Hoo! My eating is about the same. I know I need to bring the carbs down a little if I want to lose weight faster...but right now I am just staying the same or losing very little and I think it is what my body needs. So far I have lost close to 150 pounds (or more since I never really knew what my highest weight was) in the last 2 years. Another 2 years and I will be where I want to be....slow and steady wins the race. OOOpps got to go....kids want a bed time story... Night and hope tomorrow is a GREAT day for you, mentally, physically and emotionally!!! |

Hello out there....not sure why or how but I have gained 4 pounds. I haven't been drinking water like I should so maybe I should work on that before panicing. I also have been eating more fruit than usual. I think fruit is fine if I eat lower fats but I haven't. So, more water, less fruit and I should be ok.
Hope everyone is doing alright! Check in ...Check in! I am thinking of you all! |

Hi, I havent been ignoring you on purpose, my daugter uses the computer for school work and she has had it all week. I am under control and never giving up I will make it, I hope I can keep this mind set for good now, we will see.
I know I cannot have carbs because they cause me to keep eating all bad foods. So I am going to concentrate on staying on good food and getting rid of junk food in my life. I am still exercising I did make my 500 minutes plus this month, however because of my carbs and not staying at or below my 50 that I chose for everyday, I lost a lot of points. So I probably wont be of much help this Month. I hope everyone checks in soon. Talk to all of you later. ![]() |
