Me first!

Wow, you guys..last night really rocked! In every sense of the word! Nickelback's stage show was great...lots of pyrotechnics! Can't wait for next weekend..Def Leppard (they DO, afterall sing the low carbers anthem "Pour Some Splenda On Me" )

One thing both dh and I were surprised about was the number of children that were there..not exactly an appropriate venue to for kids...I's say 12 or 13 is about the ABSOLUTE youngest I'd take to something like that (I was 13 when I went to my first rock concert..Trooper with special guests Sweeney Todd..LOL ) but some of these kids looked as young as 6 or 7!!!! The language from some of the performers left a bit to be desired..I wouldn't want my kids hearing that, not to mention the other typical rock concert..ahem..recreational pursuits

Anyway..it's a new week, right??? So time for new goals. I wasn't a particularly good girl foodwise yesterday..so it's back to it for me today

I WILL run each day this week..minimum 2 miles
I WILL drink 100 oz or more of water each day
I WILL eat on plan EVERY day!

Dano..your new lady friend sounds nice ..and what a fun date..a fair! You plan my kind of dates...very sweet! Keep us posted!

Melly..hmm...shouldn't the obvious name for your newly born puppy be oscar ?????? oscar meyer that is!

Now..since I'm operating on about 3 hours sleep, I'm going to go make copious amounts of coffee.be back to torment you all later!

Love..M

ROFLMAO....Mandy I will pass that along to Aliyah....It's her puppy and she is naming him all by herself Right now she is wanting to call him Bling Bling Let's hope she comes up with something better.....I suggested Maximillius (sp) and we could call him Maxy

Um...

Why are you going to name a dog something you can't spell? I think I prefer Bling Bling!

Mandy, we'll see how the date goes, I talked to her this morning and confirmed it... she seems a bit burned out by 'dating', hope she perks up a bit and enjoys it! I guess I can understand it though, there sure are a lot of toads to kiss before you find a prince (or princess)! I really wasn't prepared for 'dating' again, not sure what to hell I'm doing.

This weekend with the kids hasn't been the best low carb experience of my life but ... um... so what were we talking about? Oh yeah, kids. Anyway, I'll get back on track today. Or tomorrow at the latest

Have a Merry Christmas challenge!

Good morning Dano!

You know what? If she is burned out from dating then I think you've chosen the perfect date in going to the fair...it's casual, it's simple fun and sort of old fashioned and romantic....no pressure but lots of opportunity to talk in a relaxed way. I've never understood first dates being the cliche "dinner and a movie"..in neither of those situations can you talk comfortably...unless you like dates where everyone talks with their mouth open while chewing

Wonder if there are any regional fairs on this weekend around here..I might just have to go look...would be fun to do with the family today.

Happy Sunday everyone! Goals this week are to continue with plan and 30 min of some form of exercise EVERY day! Happy to say I made goals from last week! Still hate walking though but dancing with green beans was fun! Getten, congrats on them noticing your weight loss! Awesome feeling! Mandy, how you made it thru college and concerts with extra recreational "things" going on is beyond me. I too was a concert partier and didn't graduate college until I was 40, lol! Yes, yes, reading about Dano having a possible girlfriend... She is a lucky woman! And Dano, even if she is burned out from dating, she has agreed to meet you so you must be doing something right! WTG! I am willing to give up my Dano fantasy for something good on Dano's behalf. Heck, I have Mr. TT and he is a pretty good guy too! Besides, in chat Dano wears a little blue dress... : rofl:

New recipe:
Wrapping bacon around chicken livers and grilling on foil, then dipping in blue cheese. Will let ya know how they turned out.

I think we could wrap bacon around a pair of old wellies, dip it in blue cheese and still claim a new recipe victory!

Tippy...add to your repetoire of the green bean dance ..try the "Cabbage Grating Gyration" lol...Mr Tippy will love watching wear something low cut

OK..here's a task for EVERYONE! List your 2 favorite work out songs..make it upbeat, groovy..whatever gets you up and out of your seat, gets your mojo flowing, makes your blood pump faster and puts a smile on your face...let's mix it up! I'm going to compile a cd of all our faves then make each and everyone of you a copy and mail them to you!..an early Christmas present from me to all of you So pm me your address this week so I can get them out!!!!!

My two faves are:

Superstition by Wide Mouth Mason & my long distance runs ALWAYS begin with Enter Sandman by Metallica...gets me thru that first brutal 10 minutes nicely

Love you all....M

What a beautiful day it is! Sunny, 80's, breezy, windows open, laundry hanging out - what's not to love ! Had a blast out with dh last night! Started with eating out - we split an order of Cubella (sp?) Stuffed Pepprs and an order of crab stuffed mushroom caps and a salad - it was divine ! Then went out to where all our friends hang out - they got a new electronic dart board machine - it was fun and I was surprisingly good at it !

Mandy sounds like you had a great night with your dh too !

Dano - I agree - what a great place for a first date! Everyone enjoys a fair ! Eddie Money is going to be at the fair near here in a few weeks - I seen him 2 years ago and he was awesome! Might just have to make a date with my dh!

I'm glad to say i made my goal last week - No gain, stay the same ! Eating was on plan all last week except for maybe 2 nights of lc icecream. I also stuck to my goal of no pop at work - only water, water, and more water !

This week I plan the same!

Todays menu:
B - lotsa strong black coffee
1 serving Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal w/only like 1/4-1/2 c milk
L - notta
S - strip steaks on the grill w/mushrooms and onions
Kashi pilaf with lotsa brocolli in it
collard green salad

Oh and Melly our friends have always had weiner dogs - our favorite was "Bruno"! They also have had an Oscar and now have Louie!

Happy Sunday to Everyone and remember LC is what its all about!

Looks like everyone has been busy......It has been years since I have been to a concert. They had woodstock here a couple years back and I never made it there ,but my son did. Makes me almost want to go to one, when I hear you guuys talk. Last one I went to was Chicago. Do you guys remember them? LOL Santana,Eagles,Yes,Alice Cooper etc Those were the days. My favorite was Jesus Christ Superstar when it fist came out. TeeHee

Shery you have tired me out ,reading your post lol Sounds like a busy Vac.

Dano hope all goes well and you have a wonderful time. Course you may have to split your time with her and us.

Mandy I listen to the oldies when walking .I don't have any tapes except Carole King,Carly Simonand Janis Joplin ..Does that tell my age?

Pizzamama sounds like you had a great meal and lovely time w/dh. Now I miss mine..............He will be home today

Gettenthere thanks for the poem . It made my day

TT My dh comes home today I will try that dance this week and see how t goes LOL

My two favs are "Better Now" by Collective Soul (the one that Special K uses in their latest commercial) and "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise" by Duran Duran. These two always get me going!

Now that my computer is fixed, maybe now I can do some actual posting.

The scale hasn't been the greatest over the last couple of weeks, however, I am happy to report that I am a half a pound less than my driver's license which would have been my goal for the end of this month. I made 236 on 8/1 and as of this morning, I'm 235.5! I think since there is only a week left until the 28th, my goal will be to not regain that half a pound ever again!

Eating and water has been ok the last couple of weeks. Exercise though has not faired well with all this heat and humidity. Some days it just about took my breath away, but then I think how I'd have felt if I was still 284.5 and think "OMG, I'd be dying!"

Anywho, goals for this week are as follows:
1. Eat on plan everyday.
2. Drink 100oz of water everyday.
3. Get at least a mile a day on the track while working on my tan

I lied. Not exercising all week after all. Almost forgot, going to Mexico on a cruise, leaving Thursday to Monday. Yeahhhh, a LEGAL excuse not to exercise, lol! Yippee! Dang, that's almost as good as the vacation itself!

Pizza, you have a love with DH that many would die for! I hope you guys can make it for the TN pig roast as I would love to meet you! Still getting kinky on the trampoline?

Mandy, I am not computer literate enough to be able to get music out of this computer. I don't even have sound working...But thanks anyway!

Mystic, welcome back! Missed you!

okay here is my answer to my own question............

................
i think i am to hard on myself no matter how hard i try or how well i may be doing i dont acknowlegde it in myself. and i set myself up for failure that way. i need to learn to develope a healthy self esteem, which is why i am learning to take compliments. i need to get back on the excerise rotuine i LOVE the way i feel when i workout and want that back. i need to learn to STOP doing everything for everyone until i do for myself you know? that is what i will work on this week. thanks for lisetning

Dano and Pizza i am so happy for you it is a great thing to be happy with where you are at!

Spent all day Saturday at the farm. Aliyah had so many things she wanted to show us while we were there. She got terribly attached to the dogs down there and misses them horribly. While we were there a huge thunderstorm came up and down there when it storms you might get stuck because the flash floods are bad in that area and the creek rises and you can't get out

OK here is the bad news......Aliyahs baby Dachshund was born Friday night and died Saturday night....he was the runt and didn't make it. So it looks like we will be getting a girl instead, which totally blows the plan of having babies with Shelly's little girl Pebbles......unless........the happen to be canine lesbians and they do invitro or adopt Aliyah was crushed but now is thinging of little girl names.....she is thinking of calling her Angelina, Angie for short. She had me tech her how to crochet this weekend and she is making her new baby a baby blanket

As for me.....didn't bounce up this weekend...218.5 this morning.....didn't lose but didn't bounce.....that is acceptable

Hey......does anyone watch 6 Feet Under? Last night was the Series Finale... it is a very strange show anyway but the way they ended the was strange to say the least

Loved the poem Getten...you are creative

Dano you could skip the whole dating thang and just buy a gallon of Platinum Jusst a thought

Happy Monday! Still thinking of two songs, Mandy. I love the new country song by Rascal Flats called Fast Cars and Freedom but I don't think it will shake the green beans up enough. Still thinking...

Yesterday was well with all except that I am starting to hate walking and dread it more each time. Can't wait for some weights instead. A friend bought a chair looking thing that is an ab flex. Gave it a try and sort of liked it but I am not buying anything else to have to move with. May get one when I get there.

Mr. TT just tried on his dress clothes for the Captain's Dinner on the ship. Someone gave him a suit but it was too small last year. He just tried it on and it is a perfect fit now! He looks HOTin it!! In fact, he should be out of it and nekid right now... Gotta go!

Mandy - I have a favor to ask! Once you compile all the songs for the cd - I would like to design the front cover for it listing all the songs and requested by who! So once you have the songs in their order let me know and I will start working on it and send the covers to you to insert before you mail them out! Okay?

Eating was on plan yesterday except for supper instead of the salad we went to the fruit stand and bought a dozen corn on cob and I stopped at 2. Didnt have the Kashi pilaf either but had fried zuchinni and squash instead and the steak of course - still on plan........then started a nice fire and sat out listening to my summer obsession Niel Young's greatest hits - it was a beautiful star lit night and huge moon!

OMG TT a cruise to Mexico - how cool ! Have a great time girl - there is soooo much food on a cruise that it will be easy to stay on plan!

AHHH Melly - that made me sad about the puppy and how sweet of your dd to make the new pup a blankey - what a sweetie she must be! And to answer your question - nawww havent been on the tramp lately - but I did try and convince him to pull over the other night if ya know what I mean LOL

Lexus - glad to hear you are feelin better

Getten - your poem is hilareous

Ok on with my Monday to everyone!

Sure! Sounds like a great idea!

Lexus4me, glad you are feeling 100% again Do you want me to make it those two songs or are you still thinking?

Tippy..is it just the boredom of walking on the treadmill that gets to you? If so, could you watch tv or read while you walk on it? or listen to green bean music? I'd hate to see it get on your nerves to the point of stopping.

Melly..sorry about the first puppy..glad your daughter is getting another one ...and adorable about the blanket.

I've only just been up a few minutes so I'd better go make breakfast..DS's friend is still here and they'll be wanting breakfast. DH brought home a huge box of doughnuts and when I came home they were sitting on the middle of the litchen table....b e s t r o n g
