Biggest loser August Challenges
Here are the challenges for August ...
First, as promised, let’s post our “beginning” and “midway” pictures. Post a picture of yourself from about the first of the year, and one from the last month or so. Give yourself 25 points for each. (The pictures will be available to anyone who looks at your team’s thread. I tried to get a private thread for the pictures like we had for the New Year New You challenge, but the administrators said they were no longer available.) Thanks to Shell (NEVERAGAIN)) and LAVIGNE716 for this idea! Second, let’s make August Be Nice To Ourselves Month. Take some time out of your busy schedules for you. Do something special. Take a bubble bath. Give yourself a pedicure. Rent that chickflick you’ve wanted to see. Go for a walk. Lock yourself in the bedroom with a trashy novel. Whatever. Give yourself 20 points for each Time Out of at least 30 minutes each. Limited to 1 per week, 4 for the month. (More Time Outs are fine, but you only get points for one per week.) Thanks to ELISASADLER for this idea! Third, let’s get back to exercise again. You all know that it’s important to work on cardio, strength training, and flexibility. Give yourself 25 points each week that you do at least 30 minutes each of all three types of exercise. Maximum points for the month is 100. Thanks to AUNTKK for this idea! Don’t forget that posting is an ongoing challenge for the rest of the year. Give yourself 1 point for every day that you post on your team’s thread. Give yourself an extra 30 points if you post every day. Plus the regular ongoing challenges from the beginning of the year. Thanks!

If you choose to measure every three months, you will have to be on an individual challenge only. All team members are expected to measure and report their results on the last day of the month. (permanent challenge) Deduct 20 points for every HALF-inch you gain from the prior month. FURTHER ADDITIONS AND DEDUCTIONS: Deduct 1 point for every can of diet pop that is not made with the Splenda Sweetner or another Atkins-approved sweetner. Example, saccharine is not good. (Even if it doesn't stall you). (permanent challenge) (hint: drink Diet Rite) Deduct 1 point for every 12oz. you drink that is not caffeine free. (permanent challenge) Deduct 30 points for going over YOUR monthly carb intake goal at all! (permanent challenge) |
