Here are the challanges for May.

BIGGEST LOSER CHALLENGES FOR MAY

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll start this out a day early, so you all are sure to have it when you get on board Sunday - May Day! Anyone else remember making May baskets in grade school?

SPECIAL CHALLENGES FOR MAY:

1. Last month you were to try new exercises, sports, equipments, classes, etc. This month, post on the Biggest Loser New Exercise Thread and tell us about what you did. Did you like it? Are you still doing it? What are the pros and cons of it? Maybe you'll inspire some of the rest of us to try it, too! Give yourself 20 points for posting about your new exercise.

2. Low carbing is a Way of Life, not just a diet. We're in this for the long haul, not just a quick fix. Getting bored with what we're eating is a major cause of cheating or falling off the wagon. Give yourself 10 points each for up to 2 new recipes that you try this month. It doesn't matter where the recipes come from, just that they're new to you, and that they fit into the stage and program of low carbing that you are doing. The recipe board here has some great recipes, and there are lots of low carb cookbooks out there, or maybe you'll invent something yourself. Post your recipes on the Biggest Loser New Recipes thread, and tell us what you thought of it.

3. Exercise is important, but so is just plain moving more. And it's spring! So this month, get out there and do something you wouldn't otherwise be doing. Go for a walk in the park, and take time to enjoy the flowers. Play catch with your kids. Go to an amusement park or water park. Go for a walk on the beach. It doesn't have to be "exercise", but you do need to be doing more than sitting around in a lawn chair, and it does have to be outdoors. Give yourself 25 points for doing it.

4. And finally, give yourself an extra 25 points if you exercised more minutes in APRIL than you did in MARCH.

REGULAR CHALLENGES:

EXERCISE

Thanks for starting this Maria, I am sorry, I didn't even look to see if you were still online when I sent them off. Oh well at least they got the stats.
If Renee doesn't come back who wants to take over as Captain so we have somebody designated to send our stats in and to make sure everyone is aware of updates on the challenge?
Oh I am tired I better go to bed to. Talk to all of you later.

Hello all, Lolar we were up late and your up EARLYYYYYYYYYY for a Sunday,
my plan is to lose steady 3 pounds per week, no more pork rinds in the house and I have to get rid of my Almonds and Macademia nuts also, because that is what I over eat on all week long. I have to go find a new recipe to try for this week.
I hope Rene is all right to. I will PM her and see if we can get an answer from her if she is going to come back or not. I know she has been very busy, but I sure hope she is still on track with her plan.
Talk to you all later.

I heard from Rene and she is doing good just has a LOT going on. I can take over the stats if everyone wants. It will take a little of the pressure off Rene. Just let me know.

Thanks for letting us know! Glad she is doing alright...hope she will be back soon! Maria, it would be wonderful if you could take over. Thanks to you and Nell both for stepping up to the plate on this. Your both wonderful. Maybe we can even rotate responsibility if it gets to be too much on anyone. I could probably do it for a month or two even, but the thought of taking over for the rest of the year is just overwhelming.

Hi Everyone, doing great today. Still a little high on the carb intake, between 25-30 per day, still trying to get it down to 20 per day. Boy the meat fast seems easier then Induction levels do to follow.

Thanks Maria for taking over stats, we will help remind you if it seems like you have forgotten.

Hi Lolar how is it going for you.
Rene it is good to here from you again, glad to see you are still with us and doing well I hope.

Hi Georgia, hope things are OK with you.

My computer is super slow the last couple of days so I am off to run some checks on it and hopefully speed it up.

I seam to be on the computer all the time now. My car went caployee and so I have been looking for a resonably priced new car or used car. I am leaning toward a honda civic, toyota corola or a dodge neon. I have heard good things about all of them. I am so torn. I want to make a good decision so I have been doing a lot of research on line. Any suggestions??

Ok....trying not to get my hopes up because my weight has been bouncing around BUT this morning when I weighed in I was 302. Now a few weeks ago I was 307 then 312 then 307 then 312. So I expected when I weighed this morning that I would see 307 or 312 but I saw 302.....wooo hooo hooo. So I will probably see 312 next time I weigh BUT at least I saw 302 this morning!

Hi Everyone, doing good still to high on Carbs but am down 3 lbs.

Maria I have heard good things about Toyota Corola and they really are nice cars. Saturns are really nice and dependable to.

Lolar- if it doesnt stick it will be back, that is what my scale does to me sometimes to, it will tell me the near future.

My Computer is running much better, I had a lot of spyware on it and that is why it was running slow. I had forgotten to clean it the last couple of weeks.

Hi Georgia and Rene hope things are going good for the both of you.

Not sure what numbers I will see on the scale tomorrow....wish I would just stay off of it until the 15th but I know I won't...I am addicted to the scale ACK!

Night all....Hope everyone had a great Cinco De Mayo and has an even better May 6th!

Hello everyone! Got a busy weekend planned. Adell turns 3 tomorrow and we are having her party on Sunday which means I get to spend tomorrow cleaning the house...YUCK! Good exercise though....not that it counts on here but it does where weight loss is concerned. Actually, doing deep cleaning I sweat more than some work outs! Take care,

Hi Everyone, fell off track last night, I ate popcorn.
I was home all alone, my kids went to there cousins and my DH was working in the garage like he does every night. I am going to stay on track today, I really want the 3 lb loss every week. I show 2 lbs as of this morning my official weigh in day.
Hope your Daughter has a great birthday party Lola.

I know what you mean by cleaning and sweating more then some exercise does to you.

Hi All, the Birthday party was a smashing success! Woo hoo my baby is 3...can't even believe that. Oh, and with the exception of eating a few more strawberries than I should have, I did very very well. I had some low carb icecream but No Cake, Chips, bread.....nothing off plan. I cut the cake and had icing all over my hands ACK! But did not lick one single bit....of course Adell and Sam helped me out a bit and licked my fingers for me....can't waste good icing you know! HA HA

Hope everyone had a lovely mothers day and was able to stay on plan. Started my period today so I am cramp but really feeling well other than that....HERE'S to a great week for everyone!!!

Hi all, doing ok (Tom) is here and feeling crampy, so no weight loss will show for a while for me.

Lolar, so glad the party went well. Little ones grow so fast, before you know it they will be in school full time.

Maria, sounds like a beautiful car. Hope you like it lots.

Hi Rene and Georgia, hope everything is going well for you to.

Lola how very sweet (literally) of them to help you take care of that icning. LOL. Nell I love my new car. Do I hear road trip this weekend. wahhoo. But seriously now I have been having a money crunch. Do you guys have any low budget ideas about how to stay on plan cheaply? I have a feeling I am going to be eating a lot of hamburger. LOL Thats ok I love hamburger. And eggs. I am also not so creative in the kitchen so some good recipes would be nice. You know what we need. You know how they have cooking classes. We need someone who does cooking classes low carb. Wouldnt that be cool. See ya'll tom. Oh and mom is doing fine. She just has spurts where she gets on the computer and then spurts where she dont. Today she went to curves and then is walking tonight. I am finding that I am starting to like the tast of diet rite. Oh nooooooooo. LOL thats a good thing.
