HOT MOMA'S #9 MARCH 16-31

MARCH 16- MARCH 31 CHALLENGE!!!

March is the end of our first quarter. So the end of the month challenge will be making sure you are on track for your total weight loss. So for example if you said you were going to try and lose 100 lbs. you should already have lost 8.33 lbs. a month for a total so far of 24.99 lbs. You will then need to post on your team’s thread if you are on track or not.

If you are on track add 150 points if you are not on track subtract 50 points.

(On March 31st, we all need to be at the weight we need to be at for the first quarter no exceptions on this)

A special Thank You goes out to NeverAGain for coming up with this idea

For End Of Month Reporting:

Team Number:

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm not going to let these results bum me out too much. It's a new day to try and achieve what I want - my health and better fitness.

Hang in there, make good food choices, get some movement in and drink that water!

I'm even going to try and do some walking this morning. I'm really feeling the lack of exercise.

Have a great day!

TGIF!!

Where's everyone at??

We are getting snow! It is really dry, so we need the moisture, but I would much prefer it to come as rain. The wind is blowing too, so it will be nice and frigid out there bbrrrrr!

We are suppose to have company this weekend - BIL and nephew, unless the weather stops them from coming up here.

My food:
B - eggs
L - turkey ham, radishes, flaxseed muffin
S - ribs with lc BBQ sauce, salad
Sn - protein shake

Exercise - 1 mile WATP video

Have a wonderful Friday!!

Hey, Mary, I'm here! Anyone know if Misty and Lisa will be back? Sorry I came home and fell asleep yesterday and today dd and I were out geocaching again.

I'm not too upset over the rankings either because I know I'm getting in more exercise, but what I don't understand is why the scale is up another 2 lbs this morning. Here's yesterday's menu:

B - 4 bacon
L - half a nasty turning brown salad with ranch dressing bought at the school lunchroom
D - one serving beef pie and poppers (ok, I pigged out on poppers but still!)

Today's menu:

B - leftover popper cheese stuffing
L - pepperoni
D - not hungry but thristy from geocaching so lots of water and koolaid made with Splenda

Hope your back is doing better today. (((hugs)))

Good Morning

Hey Betty nice to see you here. Those poppers sure sound good, I haven't made them for quite a while. My back does feel much better - yay! I haven't heard from Lisa or Misty for weeks - maybe we'll get some new members.

I have been down in the dumps. I talked to my mom on Friday and her cancer is back. She had breast cancer twice (27 years ago and 3 years ago) and now it's metastasized. It just makes me sick thinking about it. I have been back to numbing myself with food and sleeping a lot. She sees her oncologist on Monday so I'll know what the treatment plan might be. My twin is also going to take her to see her oncologist on Friday. The boys and I will be going down there on Thursday for Easter break.

So anyway, not doing so hot here, just trying to cope.

I'm going to make a batch of flaxseed muffins today and clean the house.

Hi Diana - is everything OK there?

Well, I need to go fix breakfast for the boys. I have my nephew here too for the weekend. Have a good day!

HI Hot Mamas.

First of all to Mary - I am so sorry to hear about your mom I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry that I have dropped the ball.... I have not been on the computer for a week.... and I really did not realize the 15th date...... I have been busy with work as usual and my mother is moving from a smaller building (for her antique business) to a larger one... and we have been packing and moving for over a week........ I would get home from work and then go and work with her.... this week-end we have two young men move the big heavy items... it took them almost four hours .... and I was surprise I thought it would take them longer....they did a good job.... mom left them morning at 9am and I followed at 10 and we worked until 4:3pm (we have three friends come and help) and we are pooped....... then I have to stay at my sister's home... Debi and her son Ryan drove down to DisneyWorld for the week. so I have to stay there and house sit and fur-children sit... they have four black cats and one dog..... and then I have to come back home and take care of my two little Yorkies...... again no rest for the wicked....

I have been soooo stressed out with work and with mom moving her business... then last evening I stayed over at my sister's home and my mom fell out of bed and she just layed there for almost a hour.... our little Yorkies were upset and of course they could not help her and she could not reach the phone to call me... my sister lives just three house down... (this was at 1am) she finally got back into bed... and she did not break anything (thank God) but she is bruised up on her arm......

So, this has not been a easy week or week-end...... I am going to get back on the horse and start eating better..... when I get stressed my diet just goes out the window....

Well, I have to start dinner........ Have fed the three dogs.... I have Cookie up here with my two little babies for dinner and now I have to start dinner for mom and me... then on to my sister's and fed the four cats...

Again, guys I am very sorry to let y'all down..... I do better the coming month...

Love y'all... and again Mary prayers are going out for you and you mom..... diana

Hello!

OMG! Finally, I've got my computer back! It was broken and I can't access the internet from work. Sorry to have let you all down on the 15th. Well, things are not going in the right direction weight loss wise. I'm up to 267.5. Since they now have me on insulin and two orals, my RN says that's why the gain. Not only that, but they have me on antibiotics and pain killers for a dental problem too!

So . . . let's hear what you all have been up to! I feel like I've been away for a year!

Good Morning Hot Mamas

Just trying to get psyched up here to go exercise and still feeling bleary-headed!

Parent teacher conferences tonight and tomorrow night - makes for a very long day. We are suppose to get some more snow today. I hope it just rains.

Diana - thanks for the prayers. My mom will see her doctor today and maybe have some more information. I would imagine they will be running more tests and stuff. I hope you find some time to relax too! Your life is very hectic right now. I'm so glad your mom didn't break anything! for all of you!!

Lisa - great to have you back!

Make good food choices, drink your water and try to get some movement in!

Mary - hope that your mom get good news at her doctor today.... again she is in my prayers..

Lisa.... so glad to hear from ya...... hope that you get all your meds worked out.... hope that your sugar is down now.... you are also in my prayers...

Well, I just could not eat this morning... was way to busy feeding four cats and three dogs... and then getting ready for work... had to go in early... to balance from Friday's checkout.... I left at 5:30pm on Friday..... so did not balance... (I balanced thank goodness....

But right now I am eating chicken salad... so I am on the right track again....

Do not know what we will be having for dinner.... some meat and a salad...... have to get my water in... with all I was doing this week-end I forgot to freeze my water so I frozen some this morning and I will take one bottle back to work with me... and drink and drink.... again... way too busy at work... will the sick people never quit....

Got to go.... love ya'll.....diana

Hi Hot Mamas

I am in Iowa at my Mom's house (on dial-up ) The boys and I traveled on Wednesday after school since we were expecting snow. Mom has had a bunch of tests run this week and will meet with the oncologist this morning, so we should know how good or bad things are.

My younger sister is flying in this afternoon from Florida to be here for the next week. My younger brother and his family are coming up here tomorrow from Kansas so the whole family will be getting together. I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters so it's a lot of people.

Food wise I am doing OK for the most part. I haven't done much exercise but I will try to make some time for that too.

I hope you all are doing well.

Diana - How are you? I hope you are taking some time for yourself

Betty - what's up?

Lisa - how have you been this week?

Misty - check in sometime, we miss you!

Have a great day!!

Dearest Mary.... you know that I am thinking about your mom and your whole family... and that I am praying hard that she will receive good news...... my heart goes out to you..... I know that this is a hard time for you and the family..... God Bless you...

I am still busy.... will be sooo glad that my sister and her son will be back home last this evening... this staying at her home is not hard but it just is not home... even tho my home is just two house away

But is it tough feeding her four cats and one dog... and doing all I have to do at her home and then going back home and taking care of my two little fur-kids and then getting ready for work....

still busy at work... again lots of sick people..... we saw over 400 patients last week that is alot of people.... and we just do not have a moment to rest.... yesterday I looked up and it was 20 minutes after noon (I am to take my lunch break at noon) so I ran home to my sister's and let Cookie out... then ran to my home an let my babies out... got them back in... ran back to get Cookie back in and then ran back to work ... whew..... not a peaceful lunch at all...... and started working again....... had to do check out ... so it was 6:15pm when I left... and I was $100 short..... I am sure that my office manager took some money to make change and forgot to give my change... (she has done that before) but it is a worry... so I will go back early on Mon. to get it all figured out and then just start all over... again... just no rest for the wicked hehehe......

Well, everyone have a great Easter.... love y'all diana

Yikes! I know I haven't been online for a few days, but they changed everything here!

Good Morning Hot Mamas

We had OK news with my Mom. The cancer is only in her pluera (sp), which they tell me, is the lining between her lungs and chest wall. It has not spread to her bones. She is getting treated with a hormone shot she will get every month. The doctor thinks this will help to clear up the fluid in her lung but will take 3 months to see any results. We had a great (very noisy!!) visit will all my family there. So the news was a lot better than expected and we were all relieved. Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers

The end of the month reporting is coming right up - stuff due on Thursday. I have been doing miserably, sorry to say, but hoping to kick it in the butt again here now that things are kind of back to normal. I'll make a post with the info you need to post or send me.

I'm going to go an get in a little exercise now. Have a great day!!

So very happy your mom had a sort of good report. Prayers she'll improve quickly and stays healthy.

Mary, I've not done well either, in fact, I've done horrible. I'm all puffy again and clothes are tight. But, it's because I can't do what I need to do with that horrible nasty person at work picking through my food. It still blows my mind how a grown person would do such but then again I can't believe most of what she does and says. On a good note, she'll only be in my life today, tomorrow, and the next day. Of course I'll be out of a job and right now we really need the money, but at least I can get back OP.

Hey guys. I'm sorry to say that I think you'd be better off dropping me from the team. I'm doing nothing but bringing your pts down. Since starting the insulin I've gained 10 lbs. My doc says it will eventually stop, but don't know when. Right now my body is holding onto every morsel of food I eat. I'm very depressed and not doing much of anything. I'm taking all the drugs and eating like I'm supposed to, but that's not saying much. So I certainly understand if I get dropped. Thanks ladies.

Lisa
