TEAM 4 FOR ALL #4 MARCH 16-31

MARCH 16- MARCH 31 CHALLENGE!!!

March is the end of our first quarter. So the end of the month challenge will be making sure you are on track for your total weight loss. So for example if you said you were going to try and lose 100 lbs. you should already have lost 8.33 lbs. a month for a total so far of 24.99 lbs. You will then need to post on your team’s thread if you are on track or not.

If you are on track add 150 points if you are not on track subtract 50 points.

(On March 31st, we all need to be at the weight we need to be at for the first quarter no exceptions on this)

A special Thank You goes out to NeverAGain for coming up with this idea

Good morning everyone

Glad to say the toilet probelms are over...new one is installed and working fine.

I don't remember saying I would like to lose 105 this year for the challenge. My long term goal is that but for the challenge I assumed the goal for everyone was 100lbs. I will have to clarify that with Kim.

As far as being on target...if I was to lose 105 this year I am only .875 lbs under my target . If I go with 100 lbs total lost I am 1.125 lbs ahead of the game. Kind of makes me think that if I had stuck to plan and not had any cheats how much farther I would be. Oh well......on with the challenge and on with getting healthier!

Did anyone hear from Chuck yet???????

Have a busy day and know that I will not get back here until tonight after school so I will check in them. Wish me luck on my test!

Good Morning Everyone!

Induction, Induction, Induction!!!

I'm starting out with two BIG glasses of water today!

Meal plan:

B - 2 eggs and 2 strips bacon
L - Already made and packed up a small salad with lots of turkey and ham, one slice of cheese, and 1/4 of a tomato.
D - I dont' know, but probably pork chops and brocolli!

I know that we can do it! I'm not sure that I'll hit the quarter's challenge, but I'm going to give it a try, and perhaps the wonders of water retention and Induction will get me close!

Chuck... Where are you???? I wish I had your home number so that I can find out that you are ok, and then kick you in the rear to get in here and POST!!!

Laurie... Way to go with fixing the toilet! What a NASTY job! I know how to replace a toilet, but I would much rather someone else do it! Luckily for me, my last few houses have all had more than one bathroom, so when my toilet went on the fritz, I had another one to use till I could afford to pay someone to fix it! Good luck on your test today! I'm sure you'll do well!

Shar and Brenda... Let's go girls! We can do it! Shar, thanks for the motivational speech! We all need some motivation! And darn it we're worth it!

I'm off to work, I'll check in later! Love you all!!

Robin

WHOOOOHOOOO Team 4!!

A fourth place finish in the weight loss for our group. Our team rocks!!

Robin--you are doing awesome in terms of inches loss. Congrats on your remarkable standing in that category.

Okay--I am getting more fired up. We are doing well and let's knock their socks off on March 31. I am going to do my best to lose 7 pounds. I know it is going to be tough, but I will work hard.

I have been good today in terms of choices.
My menu: Breakfast-3 eggs and 4 slices of bacon
Lunch- 1 cup of cottage cheese
Dinner-A salad ( I am out of lettuce so have to shop)

I have not exercised--did not fit in with a commitment to go to church tonight.

Have a good evening everyone!!

Hey everyone...

Robin...awesome job girl!!!!

Awesome job for the team also...4th place is great!!! Lets go for 1st next time!

Well...my test went great....half way through the emergency alarm went off at the school so we had to evacuate the building. The professor told us to take our tests and she ended up letting us take them home to finish at home...she said to consider it a freebie.....everyone was so relieved.

Shar...thanks for the speech..i agree that we all need it and that it will help keep us motivated.

I am really upset that we haven't heard from Chuck. I hope he is ok. I also hope he isn't just hiding and bowing out.

Time to go to bed....see you all tomorrow!

I'm here... and feeling blue.

I just feel like a failure... and I know this is going to sound like I'm making excuses, but my stress levels are such that I feel like I'm going to either explode, or melt into a little puddle of self-pity.

The morale at work is so low that it's non-existent. Everyone around me is worried about their jobs, and I'm worried too. My financial situation at home continues to worsen, my husband hasn't closed a loan in months, and I'm running out of options in my bill paying juggling act. And on top of it all, I'm feeling out of control in my diet, and guilty for not keeping up my end of the challenge.

All I can do is keep on trying, and hope that by the end of the month all of the above issues will have resolved themselves. In the meantime, I'm so glad you all are here!

I've re-evaluated my goal for the month, and now I feel that the best plan for me is to go easy on myself and just maintain my current weightloss. Perhaps just giving myself that much slack will ease some of the stress...

Anyhow... I didn't want to bum you all out, but I had to get this off my chest.... Most likely I'll feel great once I get out of the office away from all this depression! I'll check in later and tell you how I'm doing!

Hi All!

Robin--

I am sorry to hear about this rough time you are going through. As I said to a friend yesterday--why does life have to be so hard?? We have dealt with financial struggles and it is probably one of the toughest things to deal with, other than the really big life events. My DH has worked jobs with commissions for a number of years and there can be some real lean times. I hope things pick up for him. On your job front--it is really crappy what corporate America does to people in terms of keeping them hanging on whether they are going to have jobs or not. How can you not be depressed--unless you are just working for fun.

Don't worry about not keeping up your end of the challenge. We are a team, so we support each other. You have been doing great and will continue to do so. You just need to take good care of yourself so stress does not get the best of your health.

Take care--I gotta run, but I will check in later to do my food and exercise report. Later...

Good Morning!

I have been thinking about all of you. I have so lucky to have such a great group of cyber friends. Wish I could give you all a bug hug in person, but will settle for

I fell asleep early last night, during The Apprentice. It was a dumb show-highlighting the halfway point of the show. Snooze city for me. Anyway, never got to do an end of day post.

My food yesterday--
Breakfast: 2 hot dogs
Lunch: 6 oz. of fish and 1 cup of coleslaw
Dinner: Taco salad

Exercise: 1 hour walking

Laurie--Congrats on doing well on your test. I appreciate you always posting even though I know your schedule is very hectic.

Brenda--where are you at girl? Lets hear from you. Miss you and hope life is treating you kindly.

Chuck--I hope there was nothing here that bothered you or upset you. Please check in again. You are our teammate and we need you back on board. If you are having trouble staying with the plan--that is okay. We have all had our times of falling off the wagon. We need AQUAMAN back--your amount of exercise was always so motivating.

Robin--have been thinking about you lots. I wish there was more I could do other than to offer support. Through all the challenges right now--keep your head up and keep your hope. Things will get better and as a strong woman, you will find your way through the tough stuff.

Well gang--gotta gear up here for a big snowstorm later today. My DH is in the Twin Cities for college hockey. You guys must think we are never together. I have been a hockey widow for the last few weekends. Anyway, the storm has already hit there so even though Wisconsin lost last night, I don't believe he will be able to make it home until this storm passes. Sounds like the snow will start this afternopn and continue into tomorrow. Yippee!! I get to snowblow again!

Hope to hear from everyone today. Take care..

Good morning everyone...

I ended up on a conference call last night until a little after 10 so I just ended up going to bed and didn't post. Sorry!

Robin...sorry to hear about all the stuff at work. It does make for a miserable day when morale and tension are not at there best. Hang in there and I hope things improve soon. I understand how much stress the money sitution brings also. Whoever said money doesn't bring happiness was crazy...LOL

Shar...thanks for holeding down the fort yesterday. I am so thrilled to hear the exictment back in your voice regarding the challenge...I am still strggling to get there but work on it everday. That really stinks about the snow. We are getting another storm on Sunday and I am just so not wanting this. Snow?? on the first day of spring??? Not fair!

Brenda...we missed you yesterday. Come on in and let us know how your doing. To answer your question from a few days ago as to what I am studying....I am going to school to be a nurse. I have all my pre stuff done and I am anxiously awaiting a big envelope in the mail with my acceptance letter into the program. We are suppose to know by the end of the month. My GPA is good but there were 335 applicants this year and only 95 get accepted so I have a little bit of nervousness about it.

CHuck..ditto to that Shar said. We need you Chuck. You really motivated me to keep up with my exercise. You were amazing in your efforts with moving that body. Please get back in here with us.

Time to get the kids up and ready for school.
Have a great day everyone.

Another quiet day for team 4......

I am sorry to say this but I am afraid Chuck has left us. I am dissappointed. I wish he would of at least came to us and explained his situation instead of leaving us hanging.

I have 9 essays to get written before Monday nights class so I will probably not be back on tonight but will definately check in tomorrow. I hate essays.

How was everyone else's day?

Brenda...where are ya girl?

Robin.....how ya holding up? Hope today was better than yesterday.

Shar....I probably said this already but it's so great to hear your enthusiam again. Awesome!

Catch ya all tomorrow!

Hey Teammates!

Laurie and I are feeling a little lonely today. Come on in when you have a chance.

Laurie--good luck with the essays. Boy, there are some things about college that I definitely don't miss.

I will check in later to see if anyone has surfaced.

Hello ladies...

All I can say is that I am SO GLAD it's Friday!

Today wasn't much better than yesterday, but at least I can "nest" and deal with stuff at home for the weekend. Everyone at work seemed to have the same additude of "I just don't feel like working today" It was almost comical! They provided a pizza lunch for everyone to try and pick up the mood, and it helped a bit.

Argh... I'm going to go cook some dinner... I'll check in later!

Happy Saturday!

We are in the midst of a big snowstorm. So my girlz (furkids) and I are hunkered down for the day in the house. Got cleaning and house chores to do. Also bought a new book to read during the storm. Not much is new. Need to figure out my meals for the day. DH is staying in the Twin Cities for another night waiting for the storm to pass.

Talk to y'all later... Have a good day!

I LOST YOU GUYS!...

Sheesh...YOU guys know I am computer illiterate and I could not find the new thread. I think ech time it has changed, Laurie has written me and I have been able to just open it. Honestly, if I had to find it again? I wouldn't have a clue! So if ya all don;t hear from me for a few days when it changes,,come find me as I am lost
How ya ll doing? I see Robin is stressed with work. It is not easy knowing that your job might be gone opr fighting the pull of competing finances at home, Robin."been there, done that". I think all ypou can do is look at what you CAN control and manage that. ONe of thi gs is your plan. Of course it is a time when most of us eat more, not less, but the other view is that everything else is out of your contri=ol, but your food intake, and exercise is all you have. Severla eyars ago when I went through a divorce, a change of jobs, a move..there were so many things spining for me. That is when a firned took me to te gym. It was my salvation adn 100 pound later,,,BUT I got a good job, someone who lobves me and am settled in a new house...adn look at me now..LOLOL..Now I ahve to chose for other reasons.

Shar...I think you might be right about CHuck. I think all we can do is let him do what feels right for him and let h know thata he can come back any time he wants. These are in amny eays, solitary journeys adn I feel so conneted to you guys, but ..maybe 4 women was too much? maybe he just isn;t in the space..who knows. I can let him go with love...not easy..I have separation anxiety about such things as a rule..Ia m very glad to see your old energy and commitment back for this adventure though

Oh my Laurie..Handy woman that you are!. I am so in awe of you., Single mom going to school and she can change a toilet!. Up with women!.

NOw..my friends..we stand fourth in the list of losing. We have lost between us some good weight. I don;t know if I will lose the whole amount..But I don;t care cause I WILL be much smaller if I only lose half of it!. I can not go back. I can only go forward as best I can. And I want to make the journey with you guys, Whatever it brings..it will bring us eachother and SOME weight loss. Works for me and I hope for you guys..
Talk to you tomorrow.
Brenda

Boy...what a crappy day so far for me. I had to get my cars emissions checked this monting as it has to be done by Tuesday so I went this morning and after sitting and waiting for an hour , the machine breaks......so not only did I not get my emissions done but I missed my time to go to the gym...so we head off to the boys swimming and gymnastics lessons and they are just pains in the butt the whole time. Then I need to stop at the vet to pick up food for my cat who has kidney problems and eats this prescription food....well...they tell me that since they have not seen the cat in over a year they won't sell me the food. I took the cat last fall to have all his shots and an exam at a local clinic that is very cheap because I couldn't afford the enormous prices the vet charges last year. I have a dog and 3 cats so to take them all to the vet for everything its over 500 bucks. Anyway...I say...I have a cat that you know needs this food and just because YOU haven't seen him in over a year you won't sell it to me???? I have been a patient at this vet for 17 years...the animals have been patients there...not me..LOL....I was pissed ....I told them I wanted copies of all my animals records as I would be going elsewhere. They also told me 4 years ago that this cat would be dead within a year...he's still kickin and no where near dead.

ok..I am done venting...thanks for listening.

Catch ya all later!

Man!

What a week we've had!

Things are looking a little better here today... My husband has come up with a solution for our financial crisis, and I'm not at work, so I'm not as affected by everyone else's panic. The sun came up this morning and reminded me that life does go on!

You know, Brenda, you are absolutely right! I do have control over what I eat even when everything else is out of control! I think I was just wallowing around for a bit before I had to really face that! How I love having you all to whine to, and to keep me with my eye on the goal!

My goal for tomorrow... get to the gym. I haven't been in a while, and I know I need it. I think I'll sneak out in the morning before the rest of the house is even thinking about getting up!

Laurie, I can sympathize with the day you had... Hang in there!

Shar, I hope you're staying warm... Curling up with the girlz sounds really good right now!

Talk to you all tomorrow!

Robin

Sunday morning..

Hi guys..
Well the snow seems to be going around. It has snowed here all night and is not lookig good for the day. We had five little kids with us for the day and night yesterday while their parents got a well needed rest..now we need one!..teehee. I love kids...but it has been a long day and a half and the idea of curling up with school work and resting for the afternoon is also very appealing.
Laurie..SO sorry..BUt I just howled all the way through the vet story. It seems so blatent on their part to keep their business and since I know you can do your own plumbing..I know you can take on the vet!..LOLOL..ANd how is the eating going?

Shar.."A book to read"..Oh my..how I long for the days..I think I can get done school by MAy..but I also have four years of house stuff, yard stuff and me stuff to get done that have waited for this too. GUess I am a ways from a book, but it sounds so goood!.

Robin..So glad things are lookig up on the home front. My mom had a wacky saying.."Love goes out the window when balogna goes on the table". It was her wacky way of saying that tough finances take a toll everywhere.

I don't think I will get to the gym today. Too ugly out. WIll go early in the morning. Partner is making me breakfast ...sausage and scrambeled eggs and I am cooking roast and all the trimmings. Beans, asperagus, and told son he could have Yorshire pudding. He has missed them since I started program. They aren't a real issues for me though. Can take or leave them. Hey...I saw a recipe in the recipe room for Ruby Tiuesday Lava cakes and bought everything to make them. Now I can;t find it. ANyone have it? Remember my conmputer limitations..
HAve a good day..See you later.
Brenda

Hi All!!

It was a boring weekend with the snow. Got to do the snowblowing routine. I hope this is the last time for that. Afterall, it is the first day of spring. DH is home again.

I guess I did not handle being cooped up too well. I ended up eating some Fritos and am really disgusted with myself. After that, I did some sugar-free Atkins cookies that I have had in the house a couple of weeks and did not touch. I don't know why I keep engaging in all this self-defeating behavior. I am going to stew on this for awhile.

Good to hear from all of you. Let's have a good week. I need to gear up for Easter. I am going to see my family back in my hometown, so I need to have a plan. I will talk to you all later.

Shar
