Chelle! Good to see you! I was thinking about you when I took my bath yesterday. I was wondering how showering/bathing fit in with your new leg accessory!
Sorry about your accident, hun!Lisa- I've been running around the last few days and haven't planned well. *sigh* So, meat fast and I have yet to start. Kelley- Black boots! *sigh* How sleek! and sexy. Me and heels just aren't getting along at the moment. I really liked your comment about restarting. That is so simple. I'll have to remember it. Now to just wrap my lips around some good protein and I'll be all set. I think my problem with starting the meat fast is: starting. The low fat is what I have a problem with, coming from the opposite end of the spectrum. Running around today....not literally, in the truck. I decided to become a Home Interiors gal and am looking forward to my first show. Funny, as I've always been invited to the things, but have avoided them like the plague until a few weeks ago. Now I'm planning on selling the stuff. My stint as an office organizer is about finished, though I haven't told him yet. There's just not enough to do to keep myself occupied. Plus, his office is in the basement and stairs and I just aren't seeing eye to eye right now. Ah well. I'll try to check in later, but it will probably be after 7p.m. Erin P.S. Jen? Did Mickey follow you home? Release the rat and get back to us! ![]() |

Erin - Congrats on becoming a Home Interiors Gal. I have been with Mary Kay for 13 years now and love working from home. The flexiblity and having a repeat cliental have been the best. I'm heading off to a conference for the weekend.
Off to take Reese to school, get nails done, and have a few appointments and deliveries - so I'll check in later today. |

Wow! Will we all be working from home before long?
I love it--and have been working from home for 20 years, now. Erin, you're doing Kimmer's version of the meat fast, aren't you? As for me, I don't worry about the lowfat stuff when I'm doing it... I just do it. It's definitely not all that pure since I still use mayo or salad dressing with stuff. I dropped 2.5# since yesterday; water. But that's what I want. It doesn't look like I'll have a loss this month, either--TOM is due this weekend. This makes about 4 months, now, that I've been circling the same weight. The good thing is that recent changes I've made do seem to be showing progress; the water pills have stabilized my water bounce somewhat. And the progesterone cream I started taking at the beginning of this cycle has helped a LOT. I'm hopeful that both of these things will eventually help me get to the other side of this weight roadstop. Kelley, I used to wear MaryKay stuff all the time--my best friend was a consultant. It was always good stuff. I confess that I don't wear much makeup at all these days, although I occasionally get in the mood to play with it. ![]()

Hi ladies! Everyone sounds so busy. Me too. We are pouring the concrete for the back patio this weekend, no to mention dd has a slumber party invite, and 2 other birthday parties. I am planning the twins first birthday, it's so exciting.
I have been wanting to work from home for awhile now but I haven't found an opportunity yet. It's a little hard to give patients care and medicine from home. Kelley, I have never tried Mary Kay but a consultant did my mom up once and she looked really good. I have been thinking about it lately myself. I got a pedicure with the french polish look last weekend. It was heaven. Erin, I have been looking at Home Interiors too. I want to spruce up my house. They have so many cute things. It is expensive but worth it, especially if you earn it for free by selling Lisa, you were working from home before it was a trend-lucky you! Congrats on your loss-water or not, a loss is a loss! My cast is plain white but dd did some nice doodlings on it-flowers, sun, butterflys. Maneuvering the shower is hilarious. I have a shower chair with my leg in a trash bag taped with duct tape at the top. At least I don't have to shave that part when I am done OUCH!Gotta Go-Take Care! Where's Jen, where oh where has lil' Jen gone, oh where oh where can she be?

Hi, all!
Nothing much going on at this end. TOM is here; snuck up on me because I'm not going through all that normal pre-TOM nonsense. Woohoo! Maybe it won't drag on for 7 days, either! I was even down a pound on the scales this morning. I would love to break through the floor and get past 205. I've got DOMS today... delayed onset muscle soreness. Last night's workout was a killer, with some stuff we haven't done before. Boy, am I ever feeling it! And we have the last day for the week for lifting, tonight. I may feel 106 years old by tomorrow! (As long as I don't look it, I'm okay with that. And as long as it goes away. <grin>) Meat fast is going well. I'm at the teeth-hurting stage. I don't know why that happens. But otherwise, I feel good; I even did an extra 1/2 mile on the treadmill this morning, just because I felt like it. Chelle, yeah, it *would* be difficult to dispense meds from a distance! It sure sounds like you've got a busy weekend ahead! We'll be at a softball tournament.Jen, Jen, Jen... we're thinkin' about ya, gal. I hope everything's okay and you not being here means good things for you. |

I looovvveee pedicures! My feet are the hurting part, continued weight loss should improve that problem
I'll all packed to leave tomorrow, just have some work and deliveries to do today and rest of the family laundry. Chelle - If you ever do want to try Mary Kay let me know Lisa - that is the worst part of pre-meno, the unsure - when it will start, finish, becomes longer or off-schedule. The teeth hurting thing I hadn't heard of - wonder why that happens? Have fun at softball! ok - going to finish getting ready for my trip - talk to you all Monday am!!!

Morning ladies!
Sorry I haven't been here in the last few. My son has had some nasty bug...vomitting, fever, cough and congestion. So, that's what I've been doing. Have to run one to the ENT today for a hearing test. He needs to get his tonsils and adenoids out, plus tubes in his ears. Have to pick up his mom beforehand and take her to sign the consent for surgery. The good news is that I've dropped 6 and almost 1/2 lbs. Yehaw! Chelle- Glad you get the shower chair. I was envisioning you trying to hold your garbage bag wrapped leg outside of the shower. Lisa- There's a teeth hurting stage in the meat fast? I haven't read about that yet! Kelley- Have fun on your trip! Erin |

Hi, all!
Thanks, Kim, for the reminder! 4 days. Whew. That couple of weeks went by fast! I'm at 206.5 today. 3# down since yesterday, and I'm on day 2 of TOM. Yeah, you bet, I'm scratching my head over this one, but I'll take it! Lots of little nice stuff today... I bought sandals at Walmart; earth shoes, which I've bought before. I bought 7 1/2. Last fall, I wore an 8. When I started this WOE, I wore a 9 1/2 in sandals, and a 10 in tie-up shoes. The only thing I can figure is that my arches must be strengthening since I've been dropping weight--and maybe exercise, has something to do with it, too! When I was in high school, I wore a 7. I ended up not doing my workout last night--cramps were too bad to be doing squats and leg presses. We're doing them tonight before a ball game. I walked 2.6 miles at a local park today; it was windy, but other than that, quite nice! Erin, I think the teeth-hurting stage is only for *me*. I don't know if anyone else goes through it or not... I doubt it, it's probably just my body being weird. Day 5, and I haven't decided whether or not to carry it through the weekend before swinging up on the carb cycle again. Sorry to hear about your boy! I can sympathise--I never did have my tonsils out, and probably still need to! Kelley, I hope you have an excellent weekend out of town! Jen, at least PM me so I know you're still with us, okay? |

Just a quick note to say I'm still here.....
Have to run jump through the shower and get the kids up. I've a caseworker due here in less than an hour, than have to run to a Fostercare Review hearing. Lisa, thanks about the clarification on the teeth hurting stage. Hopefully, I won't hit that one. ![]() |

Good Monday Morning everyone!
Well, the weekend was great! Drove to Salt Lake (only 4 1/2 hours) with a girlfriend and sevral cars in our group. Had training, motivation, a couple nice dinners out (one was over carbs - BUT no desserts ) Walked everywhere - good. Water consumption was not what it could have been -bad. Need to plan better for next month when I go back. Overall had relaxation, fun and am refocused on the end of my business year. That said it's off to weigh and measure and see where I am - I'll get them posted to you. Erin - sound like you have the busy household these days. How is your son doing? Yeah - on the # drop! Lisa - meat fast sounds like it is working - how much total are you doing for the meat fast only? Have we heard from Jen? In closing - the best thing this weekend. Went shopping with my best friend - went to Chicos, Nordstroms, etc. When we were in Nordstroms we were looking at suits for her and she is a size 8, then we went to my section...looking around and she found the most beautiful jacket, "what size are you? 16?" She was serious -That was the best! |

I went off the meatfast for yesterday; I really needed some veggies in my system. That makes the teeth start hurting. I'm back on today. This morning I weighed in at 211 <grrr>; water, expected since I had a lot of salty stuff yesterday.
I haven't heard from Jen. I dropped her an email. If we don't get stats from her for tomorrow's checkin, I guess we're gonna have to consider her MIA. I did cardio *and* a lifting workout this morning; this is going to be a hellish week for us, between a ton of ballgames and a lot of pressing work. That saved me some time, but boy, doing them back to back is definitely strenuous! Kelley, that sounds like a wonderful trip! And doesn't it feel good to have people notice your changing size? Do tell--did you buy that jacket? Erin, wavin' at ya! Sounds like a busy day! |

I'm doing well. If I didn't mention, I have one son who needs his tonsils and adenoids out, and tubes in his ears. Hopefully, he and his little brother will be reunified with their dad this next month. Pray for me, anyway! So, it's a mad dash to make sure he gets this done before he goes back as dad has no transportation. So, his surgery is set for April 5th, a day before my birthday! They wanted to schedule him for the 24th of this month, but as he has to be out of school for a week afterward, I honestly didn't want him to miss out on a whole week of school, what with Spring break the first week in April. This way he only misses the first two days after they go back. Lisa- I understand about the missing the veggies thing!!! Man oh man, what I wouldn't give for a nice juicy CARROT! Kelley- VERY busy lately. One son is over the crud, he just has a runny nose at this point, but I've another down with it as we speak. I'm just hoping that my daughter doesn't get it, nor the son having surgery on the 5th, as it would surely postpone it. Sounds like you had quite the busy weekend yourself. Chelle- How's that back porch coming along? SIGH!!! What I wouldn't give for some 50 degree weather right now! Currently we have 25 degrees here in Michigan with occasional snow flurries as we speak. Ugh! I'm so ready for Spring! Kim- Personally, I don't see the diff whether we post them here or elsewhere. Just me I guess. Erin P.S. Go team go! Jen, where are yaz???? |
