Just a few mins before the hectic day starts.

I've really got to get serious this month about muscle building. I'm losing at such a snail's pace and the additional aerobics doesn't seem to be doing the trick. I guess I should be glad that I'm still losing more than 1 lb per week---but I'd like to see it be 3....
oh well
Into the month with a positive attitude....

Elisa---please don't feel like "poooh"--- I'm just trying to better each day--just like you. I've gotten to the point, at least, where I feel energized by the aerobics which makes it easier to stick to.
On Saturday, when we were shopping at Sam's, my mother mentioned that she did her exercises that morning, because she knew I was working so hard--then she said that she wouldn't have believed it, but it made her feel more energetic, too. I think it takes a while to get to that point. Now I just need to figure out how to work it smarter,.....

It was good to see Nichole post!! I understand how difficult it is to keep up your regimen when you are so fragmented.
That is the condition I'm going to be in from here to May---

KB---get your diminished gluteus in here, babe, and tell us about that cruise!!

PJ--You are phenomenal!!! Family and children have always been a woman's biggest dieting nightmare. You seem to have conqured that!!! You'll start to move that new scale downward in no time!!

Can we think of a challenge????

Nocarbs4me has posted a statement about any challenge ideas for the rest of the year,,,,any ideas ladies???also states that from now on 1 challenge for the 1st through the 15th and 1 for 16 through 31st.....I think this is a great idea and will help us stay focused on the 2 week period....so props to Nocarbs4me!!!!!! okay if you all have any ideas then pm nocarbs4me okay....as of the moment I cant think of one , but I have also been up since 4 am and the brain is on overload....talk later laides.

Good Morning Team!!!!

Hey Ladies hope the morning is going great for you all....I have a challenge for my team only that we can share togther...we as we all know are a very busy bunch of ladies..so at 1 point this week I challenge each of you to take 1 complete and total HOUR for yourself...this hour can be absolutely anything from a self manicure, pedicure,reading,relaxing in a tub...but you must take an hour...and then once you have taken your hour, share the experience with your team....and then I thought each week one of us could challenge our team for something, to help keep this team high spirited and motivated, set the time to 30 minutes to an hour and make it PERSONAL....I feel that we all have 1 thing in common...we do so much for others and we tend to forget about ourselves, so what do you think about this idea????? Feel free to challenge whatever you want, a certain weekly weight loss amount...daily routine change...just anything to keep us inspired and feeling good....now we only have 4 days left in this week so grab that hour when you can and by golly ENJOY it whatever you choose to do.... to each of you!!!

did you see the challenge for March 1-15? It is to post every day on your challenge thread---supporting your team. I think you get a point for every day you post. I really like that idea. I hope I can get my silly computer to cooperate. I may just have to go to mom's house on Sundays (that's my usual lazy day)--but gee, it's a 5-minute drive to her house...

BIGGEST LOSER CHALLENGE FOR MARCH 1-15
Sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday. I wanted something that would get everyone posting again...so Simplemaw pm'd me some challenges she would like to see us use for the year. So this one came from her. Thanks Maw for submitting your ideas Here is just 1 of the challenges we will be doing.

This is for March 1-15. Then I will post another challenge for the last 2 weeks of March. Here is the first challenge...it is easy...very easy and will hopefully get our teams back to posting, supporting and motivating each other.

A big part of this challenge is teamwork. How active are you on your team thread? Give yourself 1 point for each day that you post on your team thread. If you make it 15 days with posting give yourself an extra 15 points for being supportive and motivating your team members.

Hello all you Southern Comfort ladies. I was in here yesterday to post but my PC had worms! It would let me look at the page and then click me off somewhere else. And me thinking I am a smarty with this thing thought I could fix it HA HA! Dh spent a few hours last night fixing it and HERE I am. Does this mean I miss a point since it's the 3rd of the month?

KB welcome back.....and how was it?? As good as you made it I hope.

I will be having an hour to myself tomorrow before we go to Perth for the weekend......gotta shave and remove some facial hair ( I hate PCOS) and a long soak in a tub I am well over due for....great Idea Elisa! I will be thinking of something.......I'll let you know if I can come up with anything.

I have walked so much these last 4 weeks that I have blown out my shoe's...I had to go and buy new ones today...I hope I don't get any blisters from these ones, I will soon find out in 2 hours time. I have backed off from so much weight training....I can see and feel muscle which is great but I would like them scales to move a little faster.

Thats it from me for now, I have a lady coming over soon to pick through my DD baby clothes, she had her baby girl 1 year after I had mine and I have the right seasonal clothes for her and I'm not having anymore kids.

Okay PJ the way it is working is this: we all get a freebie point for the first day of March due to the fact that the post didnt get out until the 2nd.....but the rest is a point each day we post and 15 extra if we post everyday...you are walking holes in your shoes WOW!!!!! you are the bomb girl!!!And I agree that you are doing a good thing by backing off the weight training some....try much lower weight with more reps....too much weight means too much muscle alot soner than we want that kind of muscle lol.....I have excercised for the last 8 of 9 days and feel so much better...I took Sunday off just to be lazy you inspire me to excercise PJ and I thank you for that LadyN where ya at and how the heck are ya? Kb we are all waiting to hear about the cruise so get your booty in here....Susie hi girl sounds like your good habits are rubbing off on your mom, that is soooo awesome.

Okay I took my hour last night... I ran a really hot bath with mint mineral soak in it and just soaked for about 20 minutes...I very seldom get time to bath so shower 2 times a day....after I got out of the tub I put some medicated mint powder (I love this stuff lol) on and it felt great...kinda like bengay in a powder form lol...then I gave myself a manicure and pedicure....doing the pedicure forced me to do the manicure lol....feeling refreshed and relaxed I set down and wrote to my step-sister .....something I have put off since Christmas.... but the bath and pedi and mani made me feel great and I slept great,,,,so there was my hour!

Morning ladies!!!

PJ--I know how you feel with the worms!!! Sometimes it takes me hours to even log onto the net from home If I don't have time during spring break, I'll have to wait until June to take my computer in and de-worm it professionally.
I agree with the pulling back on weight training. like Elise said--if you use lighter weight and more reps --it isn't as traumatic on the body and you prolly won't see as much wt. gain from water in the muscle--I've also read that this is more aerobic and can help to burn fat....
One of my goals this month is to do more wt. training. right now I only do it once a week and I really need to increase that.
On Sat. my mom and I got excited because we found some athletic shoes for under $8 a pair. They had been marked down, and then were on sale for 50% more off. I got 2 pairs, and my mom got 1. I'm anticipating walking through some rubber once the weather gets nicer. It's not so much the cold--it has rained almost every day for the past week or more.

Elisa---your pampering sounds great!!! On Tuesday, I spent a few hours cruising through the boards--just to read--and watching the silver jewelry special on QVC. I treated myself to a pair of earrings, a ring, and a bracelet. I think this weekend I may give my mom a pedicure and maybe a facial.

Yesterday I was in such pain!!!! I knew it was just gastric distress, but OUCH
We had parents night at school so it was going to be a late evening--so I left school to go to the store and get some senecot. I also got a couple of lc. candy bars because the sugar alcohols help clear things up. By the time I got home, I was envisioning myself having to go to the emergency room for something that stupid. Anyway---the candy and senecot worked, but I still really hurt until almost 4 a.m. when I decided to take some aspirin. I took a little nap, got up at 4:30 feeling great, did my exercise, and not only had I lost the 2 plus TOM pounds, but another 1.6 on top of that. That probably falls under the realm of too much information
but let that be a lesson to all of us in fiber supplementation and adequate water consumption.

KB---where are youuuuuuuu???? I'm dyin' to hear about the cruise, girl!!

LadyN---missing you too!!!

Hi Ladies, I have blisters from my new shoe's...ow! I only have a walk this afternoon and that is it for the weekend and with Monday being a public holiday here I get 3 days rest from walking...I am thinking while we are staying in a fancy hotel over the weekend I might go into their gym and have a workout and a spa....why not, it's there. Don't think DH will be to happy with that but I can't do all my workouts in the bedroom!! I'm gonna try to post later tonight and then again on Sunday...that should make a post each day over the weekend....not that I am point hungry....much!!

Oh Elisa that's what I want to do.....soak in the tub and then pamper my hands and feet and my face. I'm going to find time later today for that.

Thats what I did Suzie, worked out really hard and have gained a lot of strength but now I want to see the scales going down so I have backed off from such heavy weights and am doing it every other day instead of every day. I feel better and I am getting comments about how much weight I have lost....even being told that it is falling off of me but them darn scales don't tell me that....my measurements do which is the main thing...getting smaller not bigger.

HappyBirthday For Saturday Nichole, I hope you have a good one and some well earned time off. Put your feet up and relax for the day, I know I sure am when Mine comes around.

Kelly I am sure you are coming in here to tell us all what we want to know...the weekend in nearly apon us and you will have some time to tell us all about it wont you? I look forward to reading all about when I get back on Sunday, if not before!

TGIF Everybody!!!!!

Hope everyone's having a great day. I spent all morning looking for some paperwork--it was nowhere. I finally had to go and get other copies. Of course, I got the wrong ones, and had to go back to get the right ones. The minute I did this, I returned to my desk and found the originals,. What a dufus!!

I don't think I'm going to continue with the meat / egg fast. I get way too hungry and feel as though I'm eating more. I don't like that at all. Not only that, but it doesn't seem to have sped up the weight loss at all. I guess we have to learn through trial and error.

PJ--enjoy your little getaway. I always like checking out hotel exercise rooms, too. Some of them are really cool---and they are seldom crowded.
I wore my new trainers today--no blisters so far, but they pinch a little here and there. I guess they will need to be broken in some...


Elisa--- in advance----I'm afraid I wont get a chance to post early tomorrow--so I thought I'd get this in ahead of time. I hope you have a great day!! Be sure to spoil yourself!! (just not with carbs)

I'm coming down with something today---sore throat, sneezing, etc. so I didn't get much exercise. Actually, I must have been coming down with this for a few days, because I was a little weak for the last 2 or 3 days. I'm ready for spring!!!!

I'm cooking fish tonight--tilapia. I don't feel like eating--but mom's a pig I'm baking it on a bed of lemon and lime slices
with some wine, butter, and some of the Pampered Chef
dill blend with garlic (it's the best stuff!!!)
I'm also sauteeing fresh baby spinach with some garlic, olive oil,
mushrooms, scallions, and lemon juice. It only takes a few minutes to do and tastes like you fussed.

Susie...YUM!!!!!! I never eat 'fancy' food and that sounds fancy to me.....boy do I sound "country" or what lol ....I had chinese food yesterday which was yummy but I never touch the rice or noodles or anything I "KNOW" I shouldnt and we had the cutest waiter lol...My bf teased me about him......ahh if only I were 20 years old hahahhahahah Bf is still in bed and I am only on my first cup of coffee....soon I have to get the house cleaned and am thinking I may go swimming at the YMCA today,,,,,not sure yet....well guess I will run

KB was the dang cruise so good that you just cant speak yet????

I gave myself a facial on Fri. evening. Today I'm doing the manicure (possibly pedicure)--but I realy feel cruddy. I think I'll go back to bed
maybe watch old movies, read a book.

I can't afford to take any time off next week---too much to do.

I hope everyone is doing great today. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever see the sun again. It hasn't been too cold--just rainy, drizzly, cloudy....

oh well--

I can't really think of anything challenging, Elisa--other than making it through the next 5 days until spring break
Perhaps work in 2 or 3 wt. training sessions or increasing my cardio to 90 mins. a day.----it just ain't gonna happen today

I'll just take the Scarlet O'Hara out--
after all, tomorrow is another day!!!

Good morning ladies! I had a great weekend and Today was just as busy. I didn't go to the gym in the hotel....just had a lazy time of it really.....enjoying the moment, relaxing with No kids. Had a great meal and it was huge! I had a plate of Grilled squid rings, scallops, prawns and a fillet of fish with a side salad and I could only fit that in and passed on deserts. I did however help drink 2 bottles of wine with another lady. We slept in and then went for a walk in the centre of Perth to find something for breakfast cos there is No way either of us were going eat a $30.00 brekky...thats what the hotel wanted for a breakfast....each! So we walked till we found something a little cheaper so I still got in a 30 minute walk cos DH walks like its a race!

I got in my Hour...that was a full on bath and I did my hands and my feet and I must say my feet haven't looked this clean in a long time and I did notice that it was a little easier to reach down there too.
I was thinking about something to have as this weeks and since Suzie just loves to cook how about....... Lets cook something new this week and share the recipe.... What do you think? I'm willing and I have already done my weekly shopping today but I am sure I can come up with something new this week.

Morning, ladies.

It's as miserable outside as I feel inside. I think this is just going to be a headcold--not flu--I don't usually get sick--and twice in a semester This is such a busy week, I really can't take time off--but I do think I'll go home early today.

PJ--Glad you had a great time in Perth. I like the idea of cooking something new. I won't get to it until Saturday, though. I'll plan it ahead and let y'all know before then, though.

Elisa---I envy you your sunny weather. I usually like overcast days, but enough is enough. As I was driving to school, it kept getting darker and darker. For a moment I thought I was going blind. It was foggy and that eerie (sp?) yellow-green color that the sky gets before a tornado. It certainly doesn't lool like the sun's gonna come out today. I guess I shouldn't complain---it will be soon enough that we will wish we had some rain, or a break from the heat.

well--I must dash. I have to get quite a bit done if I'm hoping to leave early.

Can the team leader pm me with the list of members on this team please? Also for the challenge from 3-1 to 3-15, I am giving everyone the 1st as a freebie since I didn't get it posted until the 2nd. It is my hope that everyteam member will post daily to help get the motivation and excitement back into the challenge. You all are doing a fantastic job and I can't wait to see your results on the 15th. I will also let you know that since there are sooo many posts on the challenge board that when I need to let a team know of a new challenge or how to post stats, I will be posting on each team's thread.
