Buck Up Biggest Losers

Hey ladies and Gentlemen,

I just wanted to give everyone a little reminder about WHY we joined this challenge. Stop and think about your reasons:

Maybe you want to live a longer life, maybe you love your kids enough to want to be around longer for them, maybe you want to be healthy enough to have kids, maybe you want to look in the mirror and be happy, maybe you want to finish a workout or a meal and be proud of yourself, maybe you want to believe that you can follow through on something.
Regardless of your reason, REMEMBER IT!!! Don't focus on how you feel others have let you down. MAKE A DECISION TO STICK WITH IT.

Every race has winners and losers....and everyone who quits chooses not to be a winner.

Just a little reminder. Buck up and choose to follow through with something.

~Shell

Great Post! We all need a little reminder wake up call every now and then!

We're also in what "they" call the post-holiday February "slump", don't let the slump get you down! Spring is right around the corner!

Thanks!
Robin

That is a great post. I just posted yesterday in my team thread that the excitement is gone from this challenge. I think everyone needs to make more of a effort or we will have hardly no winners come Dec. I like what someone said...all of us who finish this in Dec. will be the winners, it don't matter if you are a slow loser or a fast loser...as long as you are here from start to finish you are a winner. What can we do to get the excitement back??

Yes, everyone just needs to remember to give it their best. Even if you aren't the biggest loser you are still a winner if you are a loser..... hmmmm well you know what I mean. Honestly, I have lost about 12 pounds so far. Not even CLOSE to being the biggest loser, but honestly, I am very happy with it. If I were sitting on my butt not TRYING to get the most points possible then I would probably not have lost as much.

(I saw the other day that I was at 349.5 in July and when I started this in January I was 339. So in 6 months I lost 10 pounds. I lost 10 pounds in January and so far another 2 this month. I may not be the biggest loser but at least I am trying and by doing this I will definately be a WINNER!!!)

Ok, you get my point. So buck up and get your LOSER attitudes back people!!!

Rah Rah, Shishk Boom Baaa GO LOSERS!!!

(If you lose 10 pounds a month then in a year you have lost 120 pounds. As much as I don't like the sounds of only losing 10 a month.... I LOVE the sounds of being down 120 pounds in a year!!!)

Focus, Focus, Focus on the prize- a happier, healthier, skinnier YOU.
Because weather you finish the challenge or not the year is still going to come to an end and faster then it may seem right now.
Take a look at how many years you have already wasted Now is the time to quit wasting and do.
Mine is about 23 years.

I agree with everything else said also...its really a shame that this challenge has gone sour. Everyone involved was so excited and pumped up just a month ago and now even our leader has dissappeared. Has anyone talked to Shawn or Wendy?? Are they still in this or have they backed out also?

I am getting the impression that we are on our own. I know for myself and my team we are STRONG and have been since day 1. No one has left or even waivered about leaving. We are in this until the end.

I hope that whoever stays and sticks this out can get their excitement back.

I know that Wendy is still in this, she is busy working and trying to compile all our data. She posted on her team. Nobody seems to know what happened to Shawn.

I know my team is struggling, just the 2 of us. I had my stepdaughter visiting us from FL and she had her baby early. That has thrown us in a whirlwind because she is going to stay with us. I have stuck to my diet but water and exercise has slacked up.

Hang in there everyone, we are, afterall, doing this for ourselves.

Let's just give a swift kick to that postinduction/postholiday/drearyFebruary slump!!!

It looks like at least half of us are still going strong! For some it was like a New Year's Resolution that died by the wayside.

But for the rest of us it is working to succeed at that dream...for many of us it is 100 pound loss (or more) or goal wt in 2005!!!

Let's just keep on keeping on!!! We can do this!!

Even if our February losses are not as exciting as January it is our determination that makes us winners!!

It was the tortoise that won the race! I, like many others, started out like an Induction Hare with great points and loss in January. The turtle pace of February can be depressing. But.....it was the tortoise who won the race!! Everyone who crosses that winning line in December is a WINNER!

Analyze. For myself I think I took a wrong turn when I added lc pasta to my foods. Bye Bye Lc Pasta!! Hello Fat Fast!!

Very well said, Lasi!

It's about YOU, YOU and YOU, yes, YOU! If you're reading this, it's about YOU! Don't let Christmas 2005 roll around and we didn't do nada about our weight and health. I want all of YOU to be ALL that YOU want to be by the end of the year.

Make that CHOICE, DECIDE, and COMMIT!

I know one thing I am noticing is that some people are posting on other parts of the board and not on their team challenge...this really bothers me..what is this saying to your team members who need the support and motivation? Some say it is because they are busy....hmmm too busy to post on your team thread but not busy enough to post on other parts of this board... I don't get it. I think everyone needs to really think about (myself included) what this challenge means to you. I joined this challenge to have the support and motivation and in return give support and motivation...this is not something I take lightly. I really hope things will get better for the Biggest Loser Challenge. I know people are getting fed up and leaving...what is that saying to team members...maybe we need to make sure we are giving support to everyone who needs it. I want each one of us to finish this challenge.

Just wanted to say first of all everyone needs to find that something that is motivation for you to continue on this lifelong journey. Whether it is a piece of clothing, a picture from the past or a feeling. Focus on that and do not lose sight of the goal. The models that we made of ourselves shrinking was certainly an eye opener. Secondly, it is wonderful that we have each other to come to and share our victories and disappointments with the support system is wonderful. To those of you that have had 5 members on your team and they all still remain that is GREAT. Some of us post on other threads because we do not have a complete team. There are only two of us, lives become busy and we should be able to go to anyone for the support that we need to receive and give. I appreciate so much the postings I have shared with other people just because they know how I feel and what I am going through. I would like to also say to Sweets that I appreciate you getting the stats out to us. I understand that you have a life outside of this challenge and I know how overwhelming all of this can be. If there is anything I can help any of you with in the future I will try to do so....we all all after the same goal. A new you and me in 05. M

Team 10 glad to hear that you are going strong.

For everyone else...

keep your determination up. Set monthly goals for yourself and push yourself there. I did a protein fast this week cause I was stuck in a rut, this is only my third day and I have just reached my goal weight for March 1st.

KEEP IT UP!!! THIS CHALLENGE WILL SURVIVE BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN CHALLENGED!!!!!!!

Who knows, maybe we will all be seeing each other on Oprah someday 'Former Fat Chicks Took on the Biggest Loser Challenge and lost an average of 100 pounds each'!!!! ~ It could happen!!!
