Hi Shanna Glad you are back. Did you have a safe fun trip? I hope you don't get too bored with the kids gone. Just think of the fun they will be having Good Luck with fasting. I really enjoyed my short fast last week

I ate some breakfast this morning for lunch we are having wings and a small salad..hope I don't gain from it. We went to a different church this morning and I can say is why are people so into themselves. No one said hi or anything to us. What is happening to people??? I just don't get it.

Lunch is about ready so I will post later tonight.

/welcome back Shanna and Jarret. Glad the trip was safe!

Shanna, you need a mental health day every so often...i.e., break from the kids, enjoy!!

Kim, I am on the greeter team at church. the material they gave us said that people make their decision about the church in the first 15 seconds! That is why it behooves us to smile, shake hands, greet, etc etc. (Even if not an official greeter.) It is part of our outreach and a service to the Lord! I can feel shy sometimes but it is my job to put myself out a bit! So sorry you ran into a cold church this morning...but that was a sure sign that is not the place to be!!

We have small group tonight so I have to run!

But DD and I did great job yesterday. Working on those last boxes to unpack. (Shhhh, some were packed from the previous move and never unpacked!) Our goal is no boxes left by the end of February! We took a huge trunkful down to the dumpster. LOL we were greeted by 4 hungry and curious raccoons who kept peeking at us and coming a little closer!

Gini - You know at the church we attend we have greeters...you don't walk in the door without someone their handing you a bulletin and shaking your hand asking how you are. The church we went to this morning, their was no one...I had to pick up a bulletin off the shelf. It is sad. I hope it changes at that church.
Have a good group tonight

My food today was:
B: 2 eggs
L: chicken wings and small salad
D: ham. patty with green beans
water 165 oz.

I am really hoping for a loss tomorrow but if not that is ok...I will post and let you all know

I am off to watch home edition...I let the kids stay up 1 hr. later on Sundays so they can watch it too.

Hi all...Small group bible study was great, then we broke for a carry-in dinner and watched the SuperBowl together. What a great night, fun to be with other Christians and with some of the more serving members of our church.

I try to say hi to at least 10 people at church...especially strangers, every service. We are a growing congregration and we have new people every Sunday.

I did 'ok' at the buffet, but I could have done better if I had stuck to just the lettuce. Sometimes we just have to do the best we can in the situation.

Praying that everyone has a great week and for the surgery.

Shanna, does Jarret read all of Psalm 91 to them?
--------------------------------------------------------
Psalm 91 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

2 I will say [b] of the LORD , "He is my refuge and my fortress,

my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare

and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,

and under his wings you will find refuge;

his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,

nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,

nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,

ten thousand at your right hand,

but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes

and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling-

even the LORD , who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you,

no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you

to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands,

so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;

you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD , "I will rescue him;

I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble,

I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him

and show him my salvation."

Gini- I am glad you had a great night. We didnt watch the game. We rented a movie from BB and watched it together. I made stuffed peppers and a cream cheese pie. I will be throwing it away in the morning. It may be LC but it still has too many carbs. But, it was a nice treat for Jarret and I since we were alone. As for Pslam 91. Yes he reads the whole thing to them every night. Kaleb wont go to bed with out hearing it. After they read it they all take turns praying and then Jarret finishes the prayers. My oldest 2 have about 1/2 - 3/4 of it memorized.

Kim- I understand about the whole church thing. We had the same thing happen to us at more than one church when we were looking here. We were floored by the rudeness of people. We love where we are attending now. It has been awesome. I hope that you will continue to go where the Lord leads in this situation. We did have a nice trip. Good thing we left when we did though. My midwifery preceptor from before I moved called right after we left. She had 3 women in labor at the same time. I would have loved to catch a baby yesterday but I am glad we are home.

Mary- Where are you!?!?!?!

Well, I will check in later. I am off to go do some reading.

I am home !!!

Had a fun weekend with my friends and family, "Girls night out" was fun, we went down memory lane and laughed till our ribs hurt!

Then I spent the rest of the weekend at my sisters ( 1 of 4) house.

We had a family super bowl party and all but 1 sister showed up and mom and dad where missing. But we will all be together next weekend.

Food was crazy! I made lots of legal food for me wich everyone else loved! LOL I stayed on track and had no guilt... That is a first for me!!!!

Yesterday I tood a 3 mile hike with the sisters and it was wonderful to be out in the fresh air....

Oh and I am down to 254 this AM

I got in 100 oz of water every day this weekend and 120 oz on friday!

I will post my food later on in the day, as of now I have had nothing.

Hope you all are doing well.

OK...I am going to go kill over now!!!

I got the Miracle Mile (older version of WATP) from BB. Well I watched it yesterday and thought I can do this. I wont even break a sweat. OMGosh!!!! I am ready to die!!!! I made the whole mile but I couldnt finish the stretching exercises at the end. And talk about sweating!!!! So today I got in around 25 mins of exercise. I know not much but it is better than what I have been doing. I havent been using the bike lately. I am going to try and get 30 - 45 mins in with it tonight. Please pray for me and help me keep up with this. I know it will make a HUGE difference if I would just keep up with it DAILY!!! I want to exercise 6 days a week with the WATP. I also want to get in 3 days of free weights.

Kim- I am so proud of you. I knew you were not eating enough. Let me know about tomorrow. It is 1130 and I havent had breakfast yet. But then again I didnt get out bed till 1030. And yes Jarret is home with me. He is having the surgery Fri. It is done in the doctor's office and will last 1.5 - 2 hrs. I cant stand Flylady. But, then again I dont like anyone to tell me how to clean my house. I am going to be blessing it this week. I am going to have it cleaned from top to bottom before we leave on Friday. I want my child to come home to a clean home.

Mary- I am so glad you had a great weekend. You are truly an inspiration to me. Thanks you so much!!!

I will check back in later.

Hey! Hugs!! So glad to see you all here!

I am waiting til the 11th to order WATP Intro set...has 3 tapes, 1 mile, 2 miles, 3 miles...LOL DD thinks she'll have np with the 3 mile...but I am going to make her do the 1 mi at least once! I bet she'll have to work her way up! But she does tae boe. She walks a mile to school with a heavy backpack and walks it briskly! It has the 1 lb wt balls too. Mainly I am buying it for me! She has a Christian version which I think I will get months down the road when I get bored with the first one! I can't wait for them!! (But LOL I have to wait til the 11th when I get my tax refund. I found them on her website. lesliesanson

Grats Mary and Kim on the losses!! Woot!!

I started a house campaign December 2003 with the goal of discarding/giving away half the stuff in my house! I set goals for each room and spent a month in each room. Did all the rooms and started over! I think I passed the 50% mark by the time we moved November, 2004. I still have just a little bit more to do, but goal is the end of February! I think God healed me of 'pack-ratism' ....I had no problem discarding stuff I had held on to for years! Now I want to discard all those pounds I held on to also!!

B-Sausage
L-chicken, 1T salsa, 1/4 lc pasta, 1C green beans
D-not sure but I know I don't want chicken!

Hello everyone.

I just got home from spending the entire day at the hospital with my best friend. Her dad was admitted on Friday and was diagnosed with cancer throughout his entire body, he was so out of it and not thinking clearly. The doctor gave him two weeks max to live.

Well this morning, he was much better and clear thinking. He and the doctor thought it would be a good idea to start Chemotherapy.

My girlfriend called me, and I could tell by the sound of her voice that she needed someone to be with her. She does not do well in Hospitals ( when she was 13 she had a metal rod screwed into her back to correct scoliosis, well a staff infection, almost dieing, and 6 monthsin the hospital, she has reason to feel a tad bit uncomfortable there.)

We spent the day with her dad and all in all it was a really great day. We laughed and talked, and helped her dad get comfortable, or walk to the bathroom.

Food was good, I missed breakfast, had a salad for lunch and a low carb burger for dinner. I only got in 68 oz of water. and I didn't get my workout in, but I did take the stares twice ( 4 flights) I figure that is better than nothing.

So if I don't post 99% chance I am helping my friend out.
I will try to post before I go to bed every night.

I know my exercise and water are slacking to much, I am sorry I will do better tomorrow...

On a plus side, I could have used this as an excuse to fall off program, but I stayed strong... I told myself that quitting myself was not an option.

So the war is far from over.. but today I won the battle.

LOL what is with the kids today! DD was cranky too!

They only had a new version of the movie set in modern times. I wanted the old version set in the times...was made long before my time!

Work was work!! I think I will celebrate for the next several weeks! I want to shop a bit for the perfect kitchen towels/pot holders/accessories! I don't think I have ever bought some for myself. I had nice ones that were wedding gifts and used to buy new towels etc for my mom about every two years! So I am really looking forward to decorating my kitchen. It is all white, white cabinets (wood) white appliances, white walls, white floor... so I can do just about anything! We are thinking of blue flowers.

A sweet little birdie sent me a wonderful email birthday card!! Wonder who that was! Do we have someone around here named Shanna with a dh of Jarret? hehe thanks!!

A slightly bittersweet day...last year I was in the early stages of a romance and received flowers...none today....the romance didn't work out. He was not God's choice for me. But there is always next year!!
