Good Morning

Well I started February off with an early morning workout at the gym, it actually felt great. I have a favorite dress shop that sell beautiful clothes at amazing prices and bought 2 outfits in a size 16. That is 4 sizes away but they are going to be my incentive outfits. I expect to be into them by the summer. Yesterday I stuck to my food plan and didn't eat after dinner. I found knitting scarves takes my mind off food in the evenings. The bonus is that I'll have lots of scarves to give away at Christmas next year.

Have a great day

Hi Ladies,

Nice to have a brand new thread for a new month. I sure am going to try harder than last month.

Rae, are the U.S. sizes and Canada sizes the same? Our sizes have changed so much over the last few years. My weight changed (Up) but the size I wore didn't. that is a great idea about knitting. that is a skill I don't have. Sure would like to see a picture when it is done.

Lynne, are you taking about the kids at your school or do you have kids also? If so what are their ages.

Really drinking the water today. I am going to float away.

HI Dorothy

I think the Canada and U.S. sizes are the same but when I was a teenager and 110 pounds I know I wore a size 12 but now a size 12 will probably fit me when I am about 140 so your right it really has changed. As for knitting, the scarfs are made from a fuzzy wool called eyelash or fun fur ( there are many different brands) You just knit one side and purl the other. Cast on about 18 stitches and slip the first stitch of each row off onto the other needle. It's very easy and you would learn really quickly if you have a friend to show you how. You've reminded me to go and get some water. I find lots of time when I think I'm hungry its really just thirst.

take care.

Hi Lynne and Rae,

I just saw where the team ranking were posted. We did a little better this time. I know that we can keep edging up in the rankings. We have team spirit. Go, team.

Rae, I have seen this fun fur and it is all of the rage. Maybe I will get one of the girls to show me how to knit. yes, you are right a lot of the time I just think I am hungery when a glass of water will do.

later, everyone.

Hi girls, how are you doing today? I am fine, a little pressed for time, things should settle down by Friday. I have to get my track rosters finalized and we have our last home game for basketball tonight. I do the books for the game so I am usually here late. I took a personal day on Friday, I'm still not feeling well and I don't want to burn out.

I am healthy, happy and my food is hanging in there. Hope you are doing great.

Great picture Dorothy. Wow your mom looks great for coming 96. You can hardly tell your daughter is having a baby. She just has a little tummy. When I was at my mom's today a lady there showed me a diaper cake she makes for the hospital auxilliary. They do it a little differently than you do. they use those plastic cake containers that birthday cakes come in and enclose the diapers in it with a bow around it and little toys on top. It was really cute as well but would be much easier to do than yours. My mom is well. I brought her red roses her favourite flower and a birthday cake. She didn't want to go out for dinner so we just had cake with her friends at coffee.

Well off to make dinner, Hi Lynn, take care of yourself, you sound like a busy lady.

take care

Rae

Good Morning Everyone,

Rae, Julie wasn't very big to start with. She is like your DD she exercises a lot. Her Dr was worried about her belly not getting big enough. they did am EM ultra-sound last week. It is just the way she is carrying the baby. They say that she will have a small baby. 6#. I saw her last nite and she looked Pg then. glad you and Mom had a great day. Happy Birthday to her.

Well, I made model last nite. The one for the 100 points. It sure is cool to see how I would look when the weight is gone.

Waving to Lynne O. Hope you are doing well today.

Dorothy, what a beautiful pic! How wonderful to have generations. Whenever the women get together in my family we take a generation pic. Oh and Rae was right, your mother looks fantastic - you are lucky to have good genes!

Are there new challenges for this month? I will check that out tomorrow when I'm off.

Have a great day!

good morning

I just came back from my workout at the gym. 30 minutes cardio and 30 minutes weight training. I also made my virtual model up. amazing how much it looks like me. I didn't do the future model , will save it for a while. My daughter has a fitness challenge going at the gym so I signed up for it. It goes from Feb 7 to May 28 . I have to go in on saturday morning and get measured.

Well off to the shower, breakfast and costco. I am meeting my daughter tonight to look at wedding dresses.

take care

Rae

Good morning ladies! I just went and made my virtual model. This website was floating around here a few years ago, glad to find it again. The only thing about the model is her skin is smooth, LOL, obviously I have real life skin!

Rae, I hope you are keeping track of your exercise minutes, you are really consistent! Hi Dorothy, come out, come out, whereever you are! I will be around most of the day working on my portfolio so I will check in regularly.

Have a beautiful day!

Lynne

Lynne and Rae,

I didn't realize I forgot to post last nite. It might be because all of a sudden I discovered a leak in our Bathroom. My DH says it due to the snow , then the melting. Anyway we will just have to put up with it til spring. As soon as we get more cold weather it will stop. Ugh. Oh, I got a E-Mail from FLa Gal last nite. She has been in the hosp. with back surgery. I told her to post with us for support. I don't know if she is planning on re-joining our challenge or not.

Lynne, I too remember when the vitural model surfaced a few years ago. I loved your comment about the smooth skin. those days are gone for me.Hope you are enjoying your day off. glad you liked the picture of my family. I would love to see one of your too.

Rae, you are really doing go with the exercise. I did Curves yesterday and doing the treadmill in a few min. I still really have to push myself to do it. Ugh. I am trying though. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning

I will keep track of my exercise, although I'm not going today.
I have invited 2 of my son's friends and their mom's over for dinner and a movie so am busy running around shopping, cooking and cleaning. My son is in between semesters so he has most of this week off.

Last night I went with my daughter to pick out her wedding dress. She only tried 6 on before she found the one she wanted. I was expecting that this would be a marathon shopping session so am really glad it's done.

well off and running, have a great day.

Hi girls! Happy Saturday! I see everyone has other things to do, seems like this all over the board. I am making some chicken soup for my cold and working away on my portfolio.

Have a great weekend. Tomorrow I will start a new thread just in case you don't check in today.

Hi Lynne and Rae,

It was such a nice day here in Maine that I just couldn't stay in the house. The temp was in the 40"s. Very hig for this time of the year. MyD H and I met our DD for lunch. She is just getting so tired of being PG. She just want to have the Baby. She is only going to work one more week whether she has the Baby or not. then we took here to buy the stroller. it is my dh gift to her. He wanted to do something special just himself. He told my DD that he wanted to buy the Baby her first ride. I had a salad and Hot Wings for lunch. I am really sticking with it but I haven't lost any more weight. How are you girls doing?

Rae,Wow that is fast on buying the wedding dress. I remember with my DD it took a long time.

Lynne, you have had that cold for a long time. I hope you get over it soon. How do you make your chicken soup? I am always looking for soup recipes.

Super bowl tomorrow. GO PATS. I am taking roast Pork to the Super bowl party.

Hi

Sorry I didn't post earlier, I woke up this morning about 6 and have stomache flu. I have been really sick all day and didn't get up until about 4:30 this afternoon except to be sick. I am hoping it will go away by tomorrow. I have the worst ripping headache but at least am able to keep water down.

Bad way to lose weight.

take care
