Good morning, just getting my day started. I am sipping some water and determined to up my points by getting in my 100 oz or so every day. I'll squeeze in my excercise today while the twins are napping. Next week I am getting my elliptical! YEAH! I have to work today so if I do check in later it will be LATE! My 6 am plan didn't work today. I was up late with screaming, cranky children. They had shots yesterday . Well I can't wait to get home tonight and see the stats! Exciting! I hope you ladies have a nice day and I'll check in later!

Good morning all! I woke up with a sense of excitement. I cannot wait to see the stats. I went over on my carbs yesterday I'll make sure to take in less today to make up for yesterday. We went to gattiland again after we worked out. That's the dreaded place kinda like chuck-e-cheese pizza place. I had salad and they made me a plate of toppings I'm so glad pizza places are willing to do this. I think that's where I went over since I loaded up on the salad. Plus I had 1 cup of pheobeherself's pumpkin sausage soup. I subbed the sausage with ground beef since my husband is following a kosher diet. I sipping on the water and at times I do feel like I have gills. I've always been a big water drinker. On the trip I was sooo dehydrated from all the walking and the lack of my big mondo water jug. For breakfast I had some yummy flaxseed bread. For lunch I think I'll have some more pumpkin soup. Have you tried it? It is soooo good. It's high on the carbs though so I wouldn't eat too much of it. I think it's about 7 carbs for 1 cup of soup. I'll have to double check on that. Dinner will be a taco salad.
Exercize for today will be my taebo video and maybe some pilates.
Talk to ya'll later~

Everything's been submitted to Wendy; hopefully she won't count them as late. Kelley, don't worry about it, I should have checked the main thread myself.

It's FEBRUARY! Another month, and I think we can really burn things up this month. What are your goals for February?

Chelle- Can't wait to see the stats myself! I LOVE seeing how much all of us as a whole have lost.

Jen-Haven't tried the pumpkin soup yet. I'm trying to stick with basically what I did last year without all the extras to see how things move...or not. This past month I added things that I KNOW were not on my induction list last year....like the flaxmeal bread. So, am going to try to stay away from those things at least these first two weeks of the month so that I can see if my weight loss accelerates any.

Lisa- My goals for this February are to increase my points for the official stats reporting for this month. Water and exercise. Increase both. Water goal is 170 ozs./day, minimum....I'd like to see it around 200 ozs.....exercise is at least 90 minutes a day/every day. I'd like to get at least 30 minutes of that as cardio. Other goals....this month I want to lose 30-39 lbs. Yep, lofty, I know....but I think it's possible as long as I'm strict w/water, carbs and exercise. I'd LOVE to be able to ring in March in twoterville....I want to start running again, but there ain't NO way I'm gonna try it at the weight I am now.....I need these knees for later...but, want to be running around 250 lbs. That's my "somewhat" long range goal.

How about the rest of yaz?

My goals for Feb. is to be 199 lbs! My birthday is this month and I want to be in onederland. Have you guys read any of Matt's posts? He's a great inspiration for me. I want to keep my carbs down, no nuts, 1 oz of cheese per day. I would like to see my carbs around 17-18 per day. I need to slow down on the sugarless gum. I think since I chew 5 peices a day it may be starting to effect my carb counts.
Erin-Do you still do the shakes and low carb yogurt?
I just did my taebo video. That really get the jello flying
My husband was watching me and was gauking. Jeeze I hate that when he checks me out when I'm in sweatsville. As far as water I'm still trying to get up to my usual consumption It's hard after not having it there for a week. I feel like I'm swimming and the bathroom is never too far from me I want to kick up the cardio a bit and do the taebo video plus the bike on days off from the gym. I think I'll go tonight to do legs, but my arms are killing me from last night. Did some free weights and felt like all the beefed up guys were making fun of my 5 lb hand weights

Hi Jen!

LOVE Matt's posts. His posts are what makes me check EVERYTHING for transfats, now.

Still do the shake and yogurt on occasion, just not every day.

Today I've had:

B- 1 cup ground turkey
1 cup cauliflower, raw
1 TB Hidden Valley Ranch

L- 1 can tuna
1 cup spinach
1 cup romaine
2 TBS oil/vinegar dressing....
64 oz of water

Afternoon everyone! Yeah February! It's my birthday month too, my goals are to increase water and exercise. By March 8th, I plan to be down to 260 - it's a stretch but that's what I'm here for.

On the home front daughter is now sick, last 2 days - this am started vomiting - YUK! We haven't had a lot of sleep, but otherwise doing ok. I'm hoping she'll be well enough to go to preschool/daycare tomorrow.

Working on taxes while she sleeps...I'll be back, can't wait to see the standings.

Kel

*sigh* I keep checkin' the challenge board and have been doing so all day to see if stats are posted. I read one team's thread the other day and seems they were somewhere like 1482 pts.....but who cares?

Haven't done MUCH cleaning today. Folded and put away 2 loads of laundry, washed 3 more and put away. Cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed the house, made our bed, have kept a fire going, scrubbed a toilet. See? No marathon cleaning! Also e-filed the taxes, so thank heavens THAT's done!

Kelley- sorry to hear your DD is not feeling well. Went through that a week ago with all four of mine. Not fun at all.

Ciao for now

Hello,
Just checking in to see if anything's been posted since when my mother gets home she's an internet ho. She doesn't even let me put my food in fitday if she's on it. "It takes so long!"is her complaint. Yeah, Matt rocks. I'm hoping to see a new post soon on somemore interesting info that he's found out.
Kel-So sorry about your daughter. My son's not feeling so hot today and is whinny. He wants to go out and it is way too cold. Nothing like sunny Florida
I'm going to go for now. Hopefully , I'll be able to check things out later. What's everyone having for dinner. I cooked up some taco meat and I'm going to make a taco salad. I wish I could get into ketosis. I'm still not quite there. Grrr!

Hey gang! Just got back from a two hour stint in the ER. DS, at bedtime, decided to run into his room and jump in bed with the light out......forgetting that we moved his bed last week to the other side of the room and had moved two dressers into the place his bed occupied. I was giving DD her medicine when I heard his blood-curdling scream. Went in to find out what happened and he was holding his head, blood streaming down from his nose. Asked DH to grab some ice while I checked him out in the bathroom and noticed he even had blood in his mouth. Checked him to see if he had bit his lip and didn't notice anything and his goose-egg was just getting HUGE....so, rather than worrying all night that he'd cracked his head, I took him in. Turns out our regular doctor (Dr. Awesome, remember?) was on and he ordered a CT scan just to be safe. DS perked up when he heard we were going to take pictures of his head. (he's a picture freak) Brought him home and gave him some Children's Tylenol and he's in bed sleeping peacefully now. I have to wake him every two hours to make sure he wakes up "right." KIDS!

Hello ladies. Well congrats on our seventh place victory-AWESOME!!!! We missed sixth by two points Crazy. If only I hadn't drank the Caffeine free Diet Coke.....Just kidding. I personally am really psyched about our placement. I am curious though. The wonderful ladies that started this said it was fair game but I hate to say but the top three teams pretty much have 300+(or at least high 200) pound members. Just a note. However there are twelve months to this challenge. One lady on team 14 lost 35 pounds Wowsers! Anyways I wanted to post the thread link to the new challenges for Febuary. Sweets said our individual rankings should be out in a day or two due to the waist and hip error.

Oh Erin - it probably would have won you $10,000 if you had a video camera going and he didn't get hurt.

Chelle - we must think the same way, my first thought was dang - that diet dr peppers (caffeine and other sweetner)! I have looked at some of the gals on those teams as well, but in the long runI think it'll even out. The great thing is our team all sent in our # and we have all stuck around for the first month, no replacements needed.

Jen- sorry your ds is sick too...really going around!

I'm going to cut it short, daughter is in bed - still not feeling so great and cannot go to daycare tomorrow, since she threw up today! Bummer. Onto taxes!

Alrighty, gals....sorry I'm the only heavy-weight here. Y'all are so close to onederland. I hadn't even considered that before. Hmmmm....'sides, it's the water and exercise pts. that carry the teams, not weightloss....at least, not that I can see anyway.

7th place isn't bad. We've a LOT of room for improvement. If we keep improving our individual numbers we can take 1st with no problem. 'Course by the end we'll all be exercising 5 hours a day or something and be rail-thin, to boot.

Have to admit, I didn't think the same as Chelle or Kelley. I did what I could and I'm pretty proud of where we are. This month, I'm shooting to outdo myself last month. In the end, THAT is who we are competing with and that is what matters. Can you increase your water consumption and exercise above what you did last month? If you're at the high end of pts. don't sweat it, just keep doin' what you're doin' until the rest of us catch up.

Kelley- *sigh* Prolly would have been a great one for America's Funniest. I'm sure he bounced when he hit that dresser. Wasn't too funny while in the thick of things, though.

Chelle- ya shot another blank when posting that link, hun. No biggie, cuz Shawn hasn't posted Feb.'s challenges yet.

Jen-sorry your son isn't feeling well. Hopefully he doesn't have what has been making the rounds up here....

Erin - true, we all have room to improve and the real points do come from exercise and water - although those bonus items were a great boost too. I'll be happy to get through the Oprah training schedule, that's like an hour a day and 3x week for 1 1/2 hours. Ok, that makes me sick just looking at that! Weird huh?

DD is on the mend - no school until Friday. Looks like snow today. I'll be here working on taxes.

I lost 6 pounds. For a total of 25.1 # , next.

Hello Ladies,
I'm holding my whinny son at the moment. I think he has a cold or something. His eyes were matted and he's got a cough...sounds kinda muckusy. I'm not in this challenge for my spelling. Please forgive any spelling errors On another note, I've joined some more challenge groups and hope that the protein gang knows what they're talking about. I'm doing the meat/egg thing to get me into ketosis quickly. Exercize is good. Did 30 min. on the bike this morning and I'm planning on doing my exercize video. Billy Blanks is so cool. So far I've had 64 ozs of water and I'm going back for another 64. Today I've had some scrambled eggs and hebrew national beef hot dog. I'm so sore from my pilates video last night. Where'd you find the team standings? I have the hardest time trying to find anything about the biggest loser challenge. So far I've lost 6 lbs.

I lost a final total of 7 pounds (water piled on at the last of the month) for a grand total of 38.1 pounds for the group. Not bad, ladies!

Hey, I may not lose much, but I exercise a lot and drink like a fish. (WATER, okay? )

Darn it, the Feb. challenges aren't posted, yet! And I'm feeling *so* competitive this morning. <grunt> I just had an excellent business meeting, so I'm pumped.

Here's a pic I just took this morning... the first pic was about 40 pounds down; the second one is this morning.

I tried to take a close up to change my avatar, but it's too cloudy to get a good shot.

My goal for February is to finally get to Onederland. I'm not going to up my water and exercise; but I *am* going to make some changes to the nature of the exercise.

Will post individually later... it's time for Tuna Surprise for lunch.

Darn me and my dudz! Maybe by the end of this challend I will learn how to do some of this computer stuff How do you guys get link to say My Fitday in your siggy and light up? I don't know how Well my loss for January was 15lbs so that's 53 pounds total for the group-right? That's a lot of water but not an ocean-11 more months to go!!!!! If nothing else at least a lake
Everyone has sick children-including me. Then again it is still winter. I have a runny nose myself.
Lisa I just wanted to say your pics are AMAZING! What a transformation thus far. I can't wait to see them over the next few months! I'd put up a pick but I haven't changed much. Maybe a new avatar. Keep up the awe-inspiring work
Sounds like the rest of you are working hard! I guess everyone's goal is to improve upon January's stats. Me too! So far so good! I am up to 72oz of water and I did the WATP 3 mile walk this am-that was quite a workout! Wooh made me tired but I definetly needed the sweat workout not to mention the excercise minutes I have to work tonight so I will check in afterwards! Take everyone and CONGRATULATIONS to us for kicking some butt!

Just wondering what everyone's up to. I've got to go to the gym in a few minutes but I just wanted to thank you all for the good work and staying together as a team. I sure did want to quit in the beginning, but now I'm so dedicated. You guys are awesome. Keep it up and we'll have something everyone'll be talkin' about.

3101-4340 ounces = 85 points (avg 101-140 oz/day)
4341+ ounces = 150 points (avg 141oz+/day)

MEASUREMENTS – INCHES LOST

HALF-Inches lost per month ((total ONLY from waist and hips (same for both men and women)) You are encouraged to measure more body parts for your own records but just the waist and hips will count during this challenge:

Add 10 points for every HALF-inch you lose (measured monthly) – add hips and waist together for a combined total. If you choose to measure every three months, you will have to be on an individual challenge – only. All team members are expected to measure and report their results on the last day of the month. (permanent challenge)

Deduct 20 points for every HALF-inch you gain from the prior month.

Further Additions and Deductions:

Deduct 1 point for every can of diet pop that is not made with the Splenda Sweetner or another Atkins-approved sweetner. Example, saccharine is not good. (Even if it doesn’t stall you). (permanent challenge) (hint: drink Diet Rite)

Deduct 1 point for every 12oz. you drink that is not caffeine free. (permanent challenge)

Deduct 30 points for going over YOUR monthly carb intake goal at all! (permanent challenge)

Deduct 100 points for NOT reporting your stats on the 15th and last day of month. (permanent challenge)

Make a progression model of yourself using the following link. Begin with your current weight and allow the pictures to progress to your “goal weight”. I suggest creating about ten pictures (models) that show a gradual decrease in weight. This will be a visual reminder of what path you are following. Do this by February 10th, and add 100 points. If you chose NOT to do this, deduct no points, and add no points. For those of you who may not be able to create a model due to your current weight, create a progression model within the weight limit allowed by the site – to your goal weight.

Carb goal. This is different than January’s carb intake rules. For FEBRUARY, you create a DAILY carb intake goal that you may NOT exceed. For example, Floyd Pink has a daily carb intake goal of 20 grams and he only eats 14 for the day. The following day, he is NOT allowed to eat 26 but instead, only his daily maximum carb intake goal of 20. IF his number (20) is exceeded by ANY amount, you must do any one of the following “penances”:
· Do 50 pushups that will NOT count towards your exercise for the day. –or-
· Listen to a song called “I’m Not Okay” by a band called “My Chemical Romance”. This sort of describes how carbs make you feel. Pretty easy but definetly a good reminder. A fun way of reminding yourself of evil carbs! There are many music websites on the internet. You have a choice this way….
Bottom line is - If you don't play the card, you won't get burned. I.E. stay at or under your daily carb goal. If you DO go over your daily carb goal and do either "penance", or simply stay under your daily carb goal, add 55 points.

Increased exercise goal: Increase your exercise amount from January’s amount by at LEAST 10% and add 40 points. For example, Dink Winkerson did 1000 minutes of exercise for January. In order to get these points, Dink would need to do at least 1100 for the points – not to mention that he may have been able to get himself into the higher exercise points bracket.

Hmmm.....Chelle, I see that posting that in your siggy didn't help ya any. Will have to check on that for ya.

Well gang, I already have the 100 pts. for doing the progression model. VERY cool. I'm going to highlight where I am as I go along with different colored highlighters. I edited my pics to put in the different weights...i.e. 330, 310, 290....and I am ALMOST at the 330 marker! WAY cool!

Lost 2.5 lbs. as of this morning...so am down to 336.2. Yay, me!

My kids (one especially) have been a royal pain in the rear this past week. One had a complete meltdown yesterday. *sigh* I'm beginning to wonder if he's not depressed. Will have to discuss it with his "team" of workers and see what they think.

Gotta run for now but will check in again in a few.....Have an AWESOME, WONDERFUL low carb day!
