Ok, so I don't know what happened to my spreadsheet, but in looking at our individual stats the team totals COULDN'T be correct!
The corrected totals are: Total Team Weight Loss: 64 pounds!!! Total Team Inches Lost: 30 inches Whoo Hoo!! ![]() |

Good Morning Everyone!
Just a quick note to say--have a great low carb day! This month I am going to focus more on exercise and drinking more water. I just realized the points are really in guzzling water. However, I know it is unlikely I will ever drink 200+ oz. per day. I drink throughout the day and spend enough time in the restroom as it is. I plan to walk after work tonight for 60 minutes. Hope to start bumping up the exercise time. Let's have a super month packmates!! Shar |

Feburary is starting out good for me!!!

Morning all!
I too am anxiously awaiting the results of our first month. I am going to try to increase my exercise this month. This is really the only area where I need to step it up. The water is at its max and the weight I have no control over as long as I am doing everything else right. Gonna go fix my breakfast so I will talk to you all later on in the day. |

Good Morning All!!
It looks like water is the theme of the month, which is appropriate if you consider that Aquarius is the astrological sign on the month (the water bearer)! My goal is to drink 4.5 liters of water per day which is 152 ozs. Then I also drink about 36 ounces of herbal tea every day, so I should be floating away! ![]() I also resolve to exercise on a regular basis. I was going to go before work this morning, but I woke up too late! I guess I'd better start setting the alarm clock! I'll go tonight instead... I'm going to have to only check in during work hours for this week, as my high speed access (read Cable) has been temporarily turned off... Things WILL get better soon (please, please...) Anyhow, it's a new month, and I'm ready to have some killer results this month! LETS GO TEAM!! Robin

Greetings!
It has been quiet here. Let's fire up!! I got my exercise-60 minutes of walking in and am trying to choke down some extra water. After 100 oz., it is just not very easy for me. Robin--great goals that you have set. Don't float away on us though, we need you! Laurie--I too am getting more anxious by the minute to see the January results. Also want to know what we will have to do for challenges this month. I need to increase my exercise too. Chuck--way to go on the exercise. Hope your wife is feeling better. how nice of you to keep her company and attend to her needs! Brenda--hope you are doing okay and check in when you have time. Hey everyone.
Robin...hope you had a good workout tonight..I really miss my gym membership. Chuck...take care of that wife of yours and tell her I hope she is on the upswing very soon! Shar...Shawn posted that he is waiting for the final stats from sweets so I am sure he will post them as soon as they are ready..I can imagine it's a big job to compile everything. Brenda....how are you adjusting to being back home? It must be nice. I know for myself..a vacation away from home is always nice but its always good to get back to the comforts of home. Hey you guys...I posted on then old thread!. FOund ya all though i the end!. 5th place... Not bad there are about 20 teams I think. That keeps us in the top 25%
I hope that SHawn has had time to draft some other fun thigns for February. I really like the movies and trip to the donut store, doing things that were crucial to a life change. February will be better, but you know..I think int he long run, it is way to early to tell. The winners will be those who can stay the course. Woo Hoo! Fifth Place!! Just think what will happen if we all get our exercise and water in! Way to go Team!
I'm having a Woo Hoo kind of day. I got up and went to the gym this morning, even after thinking up every excuse why I didn't have to go... Weight is down again this morning, and I'm on track with my water so far...But the BEST thing about this morning so far is I picked up my blood test results on the way to work. Since last March (which is when I started Atkins on and off...) I've dropped my total cholesterol from 210 to 174, my LDL from 131 to 103, my HDL went from 52 to 60, but the biggie, my triglicerides went from 137 to 53!!! All in all I'm much better shape than I was a year ago, and a year from now I'll be in even better shape! I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Robin |

Robin...did you send our info regarding starting weight and measurments and current to Sweets or do we need to do that individually?
Brenda...glad you found us and no the calender has not been sent out yet. Shawn is still waitng for individual results before he does that. Gotta run to the bus stop and I have school tonight so not sure if I will get to check in later or not...I will try though! |

Where is everybody?? Looks like many people are MIA. I thought people would be around talking about our 5th place (not too shabby) finish for January. Congrats to all of us--we will be higher in the rankings for February. I had a very work-focused day with time for nothing else. Had a late meeting this evening--needless to say no exercise was accomplished. Also have been very hungry all day and have been snacking on legal foods, but probably not the best thing to do. OK..Let's talk
I want you all to know that I thought of each and everyone of you all day today....through every mouthful of 100 ounces of water...through everyone of a dozen or so trips to the potty..And I smiled when I realized all that water and just trying to get it down kept me from hunger or wandering far off track!. Oh my, I don't think those amounts were geared to 53 year old women. I want ya all to know that I intend to add 10 minutes of exercise to my days activity if I keep drinking and running to the ladies room!. It is about a half block from my office and for the most part..I RUN...
OK...way to much info, eh? Well...most of this is just to get you to laugh.but there are some exaggerated truths to all this as well. Have a good one. Talk to you all tonight. Brenda |

Brenda--thanks for starting my day with a laugh. I can relate to the running trips to the restroom. Working in a school, the adult bathrooms are frequently busy and I often do the hurry up dance as I am waiting. Gone are the days that I could forget to go to the bathroom all day. Brenda, Shar... Man can I relate to the bathroom trips! It finally dawned on me that I have to get all my water in before 8pm so that I only get up ONCE during the night. I've also been known to leave in the middle of a meeting because I just couldn't wait anymore! ![]() Things are going pretty well for me. I've worked out a schedule for getting in my exercise and staying on track. I love Shawn's new challenges. I'm going to go to that website create a new me! I had already done it once, showing my high weight and my goal weight, but now I'll have to make one showing each months goals! ![]() I hope everyone is having a wonderful day... Chuck??? Woooohoooooo 5th Place!!!!!!!!
Robin missed me awwwww Sorry I was MIA but wifey was sick with strep!! So she was out of work on Tuesday and Wednesday! She felt better on Wednesday so we had the day to ourselves We got to go check out the cabins were everyone is staying for the pig roast in June, did some shopping in Pigeon Forge. Yesterday I got everything in including 2hrs of exercise Today is the same except being the day before my work week I always bust tail so I hung around in the pool for 3hrs today. I think the lifeguard was getting tired of me lol. I feel good so that's all that matters! Can you exercise to much? Glad I was missed I am back no so let's get the boo tay's in gear and drive on over top of February!

ok..here I am with time to post. Its hard during the day especially if I have a baby in my arms...can't type like that.
Everything is fine with me food, exercise, and water wise. I was reading on another groups thread and someone was explaining about the new exercise challenge and how because Feb is only 28 days that its actually more than 10% that we would need to increase to get the points. It does make sense to me. Chuck...hope your wife is feeling better. I know strep can really knock ya out. Way to go on the exercise!! You must have been a wrinkled prune when you got out of that pool after 3 hours! Brenda...glad you found us over here! I am fortunate to work at home so can get to the bathroom pretty quick. Tuesday night though when I got home from picking my son up at Karate I had to pee really bad. I parked the car and told my boys that I was making a mad dash for the house and would be back out in a minute to help with the grocery's. I made it...sometimes I worry though that I won't Shar...how is work going? Were things a bit more settled today? Robin...I went and did the virtual model thing. I had done it once before and while it looks cool...it didn't really look like me...arms and legs were pretty thin and there was no sagging skin or lumps and bumps..if ya know what I mean. I know that I will not look like the model at 140 unless I have a major reconstructive surgery We are getting some yucky weather tonight the kids will probably be home tomorrow....freezing rain, a little snow...just enough to make everything slick. Talk to you all tomorrow! |

Good Morning!
I will give you fair warning--I am crabby and bummed out this morning. The past 2 mornings, my "friend" the scale, has been up by 3 to 4 pounds depending on the dance that I do. I know I am retaining water, the rings are tight and I feel bloated. The rational part of me says this will pass--I haven't done anything outrageous and have eaten on the plan. The irrational part of me is p-o'd that all my work and efforts are resulting in a weight gain. Plus, it has been a hard work week--so I am feeling vulnerable. Hope no chocolate anything crosses my path. I know I can be strong--I will think of all of you and resist. Chuck--the closet hasn't been touched since my last report. I do have to work on it again tomorrow. Didn't your avatar end up on the Feb. calendar? Is there something you haven't told us? I need to get ready for work--I will let you know tonight if my "mood" has passed. I plan to drink more water today and do a walk after work. Have a good day! Shar |

OK..I had written a note to each of you and something I accidently touched erased the whole thing. SO now, here it is in a nut shell..
Robin..Can I have the wing recipe...( insert nice thigns I said to encourage you) Shar...Stick with your rational brain..and consoder weighing less often if it drives ya nuts. Thats the only thing that work for me. Laurie...Thanks for keeping track of me..I get lost easily and I appreciate you watching out for me. Chuck..While the rest of the continent anticipates what out landish thing will happen at halftime this year, I am thinking,,,"WHat is that guy gonna do for the food Sunday?" OK..that's the short of it. I tried to explain our group to some people at the office yesterday..... it's not that easy!.. I have the water in for three days, and the most amazing thing is that I have so much more energy in the evening!. It is too soon to say it's the water, unless someone else knows this from experience? Still find it hard to drink that much Thought yesterday that a sign on one of the stalls "This space reserved for...."..would not be inappropriate given how many times I am in there!. Happy Friday Everyone!!
I'm having a horribly hectic day at work today, and don't know if I'll be able to check in later or not. Half of our office is out sick, including all the people who give the receptionist breaks, which leaves it to me! Man, am I glad I am a technology professional!! On the other hand, I do have a minute to post while she's on her break, so I guess that's a good thing. So, let's see... Laurie, good point about the exercise being a challenge with a shorter month! I also laughed when I looked at the model with all that nice smooth skin... ![]() Chuck, atta boy! Glad to see you, although spending time with your wife is a perfectly acceptable excuse for not being here as often! I start my water exercise classes on Monday night, so I'll be wrinkly as well!Shar... I hope your mood improves... there's nothing like a bad additude to make ME want to eat junk. I'm also sooooo familiar with the scale monster. I know it's easier for me to say than it is to actually do, but the numbers will cooperate in a couple of days, so please don't let it ruin your whole day. I'm sending you lots of chocolate willpower!!! Brenda, I'll go find the wing recipe and post it in a minute. I'm glad you reminded me, cause I'm going to make them for Super Bowl, as well as some Jalapeno Poppers. Emeril made them on his show last night... stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon, mmmmmmm... low carb too! I'm doing ok with my water, my food, and even my exercise, although I do have to make up some time this weekend... I'm just such a tired girl this week... I don't know why I just can't seem to get up in the morning. I have to tell you guys about my doctor's visit. It was a nothing visit really, she checked my blood pressure, looked at my awsome blood test results and told me I'm doing a great job on my weight loss. She asked me what I'm doing, and I told her. She seemed to accept it, but then asked me if I was interested in her weight loss regimen. Out of curiousity I said sure... and OMG, she handed me a copy of the "3 day" diet! I'm sure you have seen this one... it starts with breakfast being 1/2 a grapefruit, a slice of toast, and 2 tblsp peanut butter... Looking at it with my practiced eye, I noticed that there isn't ANYTHING healthy on it. So much for doctor knowing best, eh? Ah, my time at the front desk is over...
