Glad to see our ranking! I think once the induction #s cool off a bit the playing field will be leveled a little bit...slow and STEADY wins THIS race, ahem, challenge! ![]() Now that January is over, I am dying to talk about Supersize Me! If you haven't seen it...skip the rest of this post because I don't want to spoil it for you... ~Did anyone else find it hilarious that this guy's girlfriend was a vegan chef ? What a huge contrast to the experiment! ~Did anyone else think this guy was kind of a wimp when he yakked out the car window? On my worst day (preLC) I could've eaten that meal no problem! ~I also LOVED the new lunch program at the alternative school...maybe there is something to regulating your blood sugar after all, eh? ~WTH diet did he go on at the end that took him like 15 months to lose 30 pounds?!?!?!? How frustrating!!! Gotta run now...what did you think?

Yes, that cracked me up! ~Did anyone else think this guy was kind of a wimp when he yakked out the car window? On my worst day (preLC) I could've eaten that meal no problem! I thought the same thing. That was a little dramatic. I don't know any man who couldn't eat a super sized meal. I thought it was funny when they kept trying to call the lady from McDonald's corp office and she would never take his call or return his call. I bet their execs hate him. Did you watch the french fry special feature on the DVD? That was gross!

I did watch the french fry thing (I remembered you had said to see it)...what in the world? DH and I were watching it and he said that he wasn't really surprised - you know how they look when you find 'em in your car under the seat (exactly the same as the day you got 'em!)

Hey there!
Just thought I'd pass this along...it's the NEW FEBRUARY EXTRA POINTS challenges posted by TooMuchToLose: Make a progression model of yourself using the following link. Begin with your current weight and allow the pictures to progress to your “goal weight”. I suggest creating about ten pictures (models) that show a gradual decrease in weight. This will be a visual reminder of what path you are following. Do this by February 10th, and add 100 points. If you chose NOT to do this, deduct no points, and add no points. For those of you who may not be able to create a model due to your current weight, create a progression model within the weight limit allowed by the site – to your goal weight. http://www.myvirtualmodel.com/mvmhome/jsp/home.jsp? Carb goal. This is different than January’s carb intake rules. For FEBRUARY, you create a DAILY carb intake goal that you may NOT exceed. For example, Floyd Pink has a daily carb intake goal of 20 grams and he only eats 14 for the day. The following day, he is NOT allowed to eat 26 but instead, only his daily maximum carb intake goal of 20. IF his number (20) is exceeded by ANY amount, you must do any one of the following “penances”: · Do 50 pushups that will NOT count towards your exercise for the day. –or- · Listen to a song called “I’m Not Okay” by a band called “My Chemical Romance”. This sort of describes how carbs make you feel. Pretty easy but definetly a good reminder. A fun way of reminding yourself of evil carbs! There are many music websites on the internet. You have a choice this way…. Bottom line is - If you don't play the card, you won't get burned. I.E. stay at or under your daily carb goal. If you DO go over your daily carb goal and do either "penance", or simply stay under your daily carb goal, add 55 points. Increased exercise goal: Increase your exercise amount from January’s amount by at LEAST 10% and add 40 points. For example, Dink Winkerson did 1000 minutes of exercise for January. In order to get these points, Dink would need to do at least 1100 for the points – not to mention that he may have been able to get himself into the higher exercise points bracket. |

No banking here at all, I start off with mostly eggs and meat in the morning and coffee - then for lunch I eat what I want - count before dinner and when I have reached 30 carbs - I am done eating carbs - water and chicken and lettuce - no dressing on those nights.
I have never had a problem with 30 carbs - 20 was getting hard for me so that is why I stopped induction level - I had to add a few more veggies and more stuff to my salads... I am going to do the model today - I am looking forward to that. About the movie - Super Size Me - I have been telling everyone to watch it - What sickened me the most was the schools. What are we doing to our kids - lemonade, chips, ice cream and candy bars in the lunch line ?>>>>> FRENCH FRIES>>>>>when that girl said that she was going to have french fries and catsup for lunch, for her veggies and tomato - I wanted to scream. When they showed the kids at the table eating the ONLY CHILD THERE who had a nutritous lunch was the kid with the BROWN BAG he brought from home. Lemonade is as bad for kids as coke. They should have Juice and Milk choices - lemonade is NOT JUICE, actually, juice is not healthy for kids either. Should really be Milk and Bottled water.

I'm still alive!! I made it here finally. My phone was acting up due to bad weather and I was not able to stay connected
![]() I so missed being able to check in. I was so frustrated and thank goodness I at least was able to get an email off to Fluff. I am at the virtual model site, making my sexy self. Oh, update. I am upping my carbs to 25 a day. TMTL said we could only do that once a month. I started that on the first. I know it will make me lose slower but, I am changing my menu around to see if it helps in a long term way. I was getting bored with what I was eating and I do not want that to continue. I downloaded some different recipes so I could mix things up. Fluff, do you email sweets the carb intake amount upped or do I? I feel plugged in again. My mood was getting bad because I felt deprived of this bb. LOL. I so need it to stay motivated. I only exercised two out of the four days so far. My attitude was effecting my goals. I need this bb alot to help keep me going in the right direction. I think it is a matter of the negative thoughts getting in the way. Thank all of you for being here. |

Done, Fluff and thanks.
I did some weight training tonight. We got a home gym system. I am starting out with 2 sets of 10 each of five different toning tightners. I will see how this goes for me. I have not done weight training in years. I felt even more energized when I got done. I know I will be sore tomorrow but the sore will be a good thing. |

This is great for you *lcfort - a home gym is awesome. Make sure that you use it as often as you can - in reality I do have a weight bench at home that I should be using.
In reality though - I have 5 baskets of dirty clothes that I cannot get done either at home that is why I need to get myself going back to the gym for some work outs... |

Ok - I did the virtual model and can I just say it was an eye opening event for me. At first I did not notice changes, because taking off only 20 pounds at a time was little change and did not notice much, then once I made the model of my goal weight 145 I was like, very nice...
Then I realized I had started at my current weight and dropped 20 pounds all the way down to goal - I never did one of my starting weight...YIKES - 289 - I did that one after the 145 sized me and that was the eye opener for sure. I saved them all in a word doc. ALSO - can I also add that my virtual model is hot, even at my current weight. She does not have hairy legs and arm pits like I do (because it takes all my energy to shave my legs anymore so I skip it alot because I am lazy and running after the kids all the time). The model does not have bumpy gross fat thighs that I have and her boobs are where they are supposed to be... She has the body that I had before I had kids. I want that body... But really I liked the skinnier ones more - when they were at 199 and below I really liked them. Also, weren't you all amazed at how much your model really looks like you look. I was like - yowzza!!! |

I *wish* I looked like my virtual model.
My more realistic virtual model would include size 48 extra-long boobs (yo-yo weight loss, three pregnancies, many years of breastfeeding), my world-atlas stretch mark collection, various lumps and bumps, and dry skin. There would also have to be a different face -- on the current MVM, you only get the choice between fresh-faced 19 year old and senior citizen. What about us sun-damaged middle aged folks? Reality aside, I love looking at the virtual model. I just wish my weight loss progression were that tidy. |

My phone line is all messed up. I can use it here and there and then it is off for four hours or so. I am lucky to be typing this for it usually cuts me off. So I am letting you all know that I am still pushing forward and all but do not know how much I will be able to post. The phone company was supposed to send someone out three days in a row last week and did not. So, until they get here and figure out what is wrong, I will try to get through but do not know how much that will be. Keep guzzling! |
