OK, I just posted some stuff on the last board that you all might want to check out - confessions and some ramblings!!!
Glad to have the new board though - I am on my way to wal mart to buy lots of low carb stuff. I am going to have a big whoosh this week and hopefully be in a smaller club by the end of this week...6 more pounds and I will be in the 20 pound club finally - I may already have lost some of those 6 because I have been avoiding the scale like the plague. How is the game going Fluff? Having fun hanging out??

I posted on the last thread in response to your 'ramblings' as you call it, Lav.
I am so proud of myself right now. I just resisted one of my old fav foods. Homemade Cornbread stuffing. Of course, I resisted and ran from the kitchen, haha. But I still did it and that was a big test for myself. So, Yay for me! All I grabbed was some turkey, steamed broc and steamed spinach with mozz cheese on top. And here I am because I know if I am typing, that I will not go back in there... I will stay strong. |

Way to go Lcfort* sorry I have not found your real name*!!!
I am stopping at Wal-mart on my way home tonight - something you said made sense to me too - it's time to put myself first for a change. I am buying all low carb food and no starch and no treats and no sugar - I think I might even get some LC tortillias for myself and treat myself for a change - if I had pork rinds and tuna and egg salad to eat all the time at the house then I would not cheat as much, I would chose the low carb snacks instead... Moms tend to put themselves on the back burner - wives to this too. But sometimes, it doesn't hurt them at all to take a little more care of myself...after all , they all eat these foods too. See you all later tonight after the kiddos are in bed. |

Hey there!
Hope everyone is doing well! We've got 6 days left in the month to "hit it hard". I have to tell you guys how glad I am to be keeping track of how many ounces of water, minutes of exercise, etc...I thought it was going to be a real pain, but it is VERY motivating for me! I'm realizing (since I *try* to exercise 7 days a week) what a BIG DEAL it is to skip *just this once* or maybe I'll *do it later* and later never comes. So while food & water have not been anything hard for me, I'm really glad this challenge is motivating me even more to exercise this "phat booty"! (Thanks lcfortified for putting that in my head ). Hope all is well!

I really like the recordkeeping, too, although sometimes I wonder if I'm getting obsessive about it.
I guess better obsessive about this than pizza or donuts. |

I have been struggling with the exercise this week, too. I am usually very good about it, so I do not know what has kicked my bum. I am looking at my upper arms and I am thinking I really need to do some weight training to tone up. I sure do not want to be able to run a flag pole up my arm and wiggle my arm to wave a make shift flag, LOL. And let me tell you, they are looking all uneven (which I know you loose unevenly and it eventually mostly evens out) along with my oh so 'phat perkies' up top. I am lopsided! haha. Can you tell I have been staring in the mirror naked? Well I figure that is one of the ways to view your progress. I cannot wait to measure. I have dimples and soft areas in weird spots all over. But I will take the lopsidedness and dimples in fat because that means I am getting SMALLER baby!!
I am great on water and exercise. I read the post and did the donut challenge. I still need to watch Super Size Me. I will get that done before the end of the month. So far, I am on schedule. I do not know if I am losing pounds as much as I would like from my last weigh in where I had gained but as long as the inches are coming off, that is what matters to me. I am not going to let it discourage me. Because I did for a few days and then kicked myself mentally into gear and realized the numbers matter but not as much as the inches. Have a water filled, booty shaking, LC day, Ladies!!! |

I was just going over the points structure and here is where I stand so far.
Exercise: right now, my average is 20 minutes so 35 points Weight loss: 7 points Water: 150 points I always get my water in. Inches lost: not sure on this one yet. Diet soda deduction: -4 Donut challenge: 20 points Supersize me: 25 points Read the link: 15 points So far, I'm at 248 points. That does not include any points for inches lost since I haven't measured yet and I'm not sure where I stand on that. How are the rest of you doing?

I feel so good in my clothes today. My shirt is not grabbing my belly all day and my pants are not air brushed onto me for a change.
I have had no cheats this week - actually since last weekend. So I am feeling better - TOM is this week, so after the next 5 days bet I will be feeling much, much better. |

I have also got my water intake up higher and that is a major plus for me. I need to knock out some exercise when I get a chance either tonight at home or tomorrow -
I am excited to see if I have had any inches lost this month. I had a little improvement at the 1/2 mark. I think that I am staying away from the doughnut challenge. I am not sure but it scares me to death. I have NO WILLPOWER and I am very weak. I will miss those points, but I have swtiched to dite rite, so the drinks will not count against me any more. |

Sounds like everyone is doing GOOD!!!
I keep track of all of my stats at home, so I'll have to report on that later...doing great with water, will end up with something good for exercise, and have lost 8.5 pounds so far this month - would LOVE to lose some more in the next few days (what a stupid thing to say - who wouldn't?)...still need to watch the movie ( I think this is like the 3rd time I've posted that). |

You know what? I think I can rack us up some water points. I'll have to drink 200 oz every day between now and the end of the month. It's really not that much more -- 2.5 of my regular drinking glasses.

why oh why would you *apologize* for losing SIX POUNDS??? That is a GREAT accomplishment!!! No reason whatsoever to apologize to ANYONE about that! You are doing SO well!!! This is a lifestyle change for all of us...not a race! Just THINK how cool it is going to be when we are all so tiny, tiny, tiny at the end of the year!!! (OK, I will personally never be tiny...but you're getting my point ). |

Whoo Hoo 6- pounds is a lot to be happy about - I hope to have half that much to post this month - I feel a whoosh coming soon though, clothes are looser, TOM is starting Saturday and then after that, WHOOOOOOSH!! Yay!!

It is SO good for you!!!I watched the movie tonight!!! I have SO much to say about it, but want to wait til everyone has seen it so I don't spoil anything...of course, I may be the last one. Definitely get it on DVD and watch the french fry thing (thanks fluff! ).Will talk to you all soon! |

I saw what TMTL posted as what he wanted for a format. So, I am posting here really quick while I have a moment. I will check back later on tonight to make sure there is nothing else I need to give you or if I need to change the format. Sorry if this is jumping the gun but I have a full packed day and will not be home until very late. Exercise points: (777 minutes) = +50 pts Weight loss points: (14.5 pounds) = +14 pts Water intake points: (3767 ozs) = +85 pts Inches lost points: (1" off waist + 3" off hips = 4") = +80 pts Deduct 1 point for every can of diet pop that is not made with the Splenda Sweetner: (diet barqs) -1 pt Deduct 1 point for every 12oz. you drink that is not caffeine free: -0 Deduct 30 points for going over YOUR monthly carb intake goal at all! = -0 Deduct 100 points for NOT reporting stats on the 15th and by last day of month. = -0 Add 20 points if you go to Dunkin Donuts (or comparable) 2 TIMES during January. = +20 Deduct 75 points if you consumed any sweets at all during your visit! = -0 Add 25 points if you watch the movie Super Size Me by the end of January. = +25 Add 15 points if you read this very insightful link. = +15 TOTAL POINTS ON JANUARY 31ST (OR BEFORE): 288 pts Extra Kudos Info: And to add a little bit of inches lost not counted in the challenge: I have lost a total of 8.75 inches this month from all over my body!! Now even though I wish I would not have had an up and down with a few pounds this month and would have lost more all together, I am VERY happy with my inch lost. That is what matters and I am going to give myself a pat on the back because I have met a goal for myself by continuing to do this lifestyle change and finishing the month out. |
