I just read this in someone's siggy line.
H.A.L.T. HUNGRY ANGRY LONELY TIRED Before you start to eat/snack ask yourself these questions. am I hungry? am I angry? am I lonely? am I tired? Then you know if your eating because your hungry or not. I find myself doing this alot so I am going to try this little reminder and see if it works. Today was good. Scale is still not moving My sister watched a show on Discovery Health that said tthis was pretty common when a person looses 10% of there body weight.... I started Atkins at 286. as of today I was 259 that is 10% of my old body weight.... I am a statistic Anyway I am just going to keep on doing what I am doing and hope for a woosh soon. Hope everyone is doing good! Exercise 50 mins Water 162 oz B- nothing L- 3 0oz turkey, mayo/mustard mix, cottage cheese Diet Rite. S- 1 oz cheese. D- 5oz turkey burger, green salad 2 cups, 2T ranch dressing, 1/2 cup green beans, Diet Rite. S- Sugar Free Jello.

I think this is the team Sweets has put me with. Mommiematters pm'd me so I will start posting here. I will tell you a bit about me.
My name is Kim. I am 32 yrs. old, married (almost 14 yrs) and have 2 kids. A dd age 8, and a ds age 6. So far on this challenge I have lost 16 lb.s I will update again on the 30th. I was with a different team and asked to be switched so I have been with this challenge from the start. I love everything about this challenge. I am sure Mommiematters will need my stats? Hi Kim and welcome!! Wow you are doing great!!
I sure hope you like this team We are a pretty nice bunch of peeps and all dedicated to this challenge. I am 52, mom of a 14 yr old DD who is an awesome person! My challenges are age, diabetes, thryoid, candida. My advantages are fairly decent support from DD (not praise, but she makes a great food cop!) also, I am sincerely dedicated, and I am a child of the Most High God and am believing in his support and blessing! B-2 eggs, .5 oz cr cheese, 5 links L-4 oz burger, 1 C Gr Beans D-to be determined.......soup and some type of meat probably! I used up the pork loin I had made a big batch of over the weekend. This weekend I will cook up a big batch of chicken. LOL, the DD challenge was nothing compared to today at work! It was popcorn day...they have one of those big machines and the smell permeated the whole floor plus at least three peeps came over and offered me some!! (Smelled good, but easy to say no thanks!! I want to see one of my goals this year!!)

Guess what I bought today???
I went and bought some free weights so that I could start doing some strengthing exercises. I bought 5, 8, 10 and 15 lb dumbbells. I am excited. I love to do weights. I hope this will even out my exercising since I am using the bike quite a bit. My upper body wasnt getting anything.
I also am going to start doing Pilates 40 mins a day. So I think I am going to do as follows: M: Pilates (AM) Bike 30 mins (PM) T: Weights (AM) Bike 30 mins (PM) W: Pilates (AM) Bike 30 mins (PM) T: Weights (AM) Bike 30 mins (PM) F: Pilates (AM) Bike 30 mins (PM) S: Weights (AM) Bike 30 mins (PM) S: Lord's Day |

Thank you for the warm welcome. I am excited to be a part of this team.
My menu for the day is: B: nothing L: turkey and gr. beans D: cabbage rolls and sm. salad Water: I am aiming for 165 to get the most pos. points Exercise: I am also going to up that to 60 min to get the most pos. points. I watch Little house on the prairie while I walk makes it go so much faster...lol Today is laundry day for me, and pick up the house. I usually check in 3-5 times a day. Some days I can't check in that much but it does keep me focused and motivated to check in. Shanna - Do you homeschool out of text books or do you use paces? My kids go to a christian school and they use paces. Love it!! Smilin Mary - WOOHOO!!! Congrats on the loss That is great!!!Have fun with your company. Gini - So we are the only 2 without having company coming. I dont' know if that makes us the lucky ones or not My kids are good food police too...lol Although here the last few weeks they haven't had to tell me...MOM, YOU CAN'T HAVE THAT. Now, if they think the food looks good, they ask, Mom are you sure you can eat that...lol I hope they continue to do this. Scale says down 14 this morning
I expect I'll bounce as usual but that is good news! B-2 eggs .5 oz cr cheese, 5 links DD would love to play in the snow. I hope she gets to one day before she loses too much of the kid in her! Bad storm...take care if you are in the path of it! DD used A Beka curriculum when in K & 1st grade...it was wonderful. Then she went to public school and was in the gifted programs we are blessed having in this school district. |

Hi everyone! First wave of company has left and the second group are on there way. I have to change sheets and tidy up the house. I just finished my workout so 30 mins in today.
Water is a bit slow I only have about 70 oz in. I am usually up to 100 by this time. We are going to a CRAB FEED tonight, all you can eat crab.. mmmm. They give you a salad too, so I am going to make some LC 1000 Island dressing and enjoy myself!!! Not to hungry today, maybe its the Ketosis... HMMMM |OH Gini!!! I was laughing at the post you set us to yesterday!!! I did the licking the back of my hand thing.... It works!!! But I found that it smelt like my Pee witch is stinky on its own! ![]() Ok I better post my food Breakfast - 3 sausage links 1/2 Low Carb Pancake ( yucky) Lunch - 2 oz cheese Dinner - 2 cups crab meat, 2 cups salad, 3 T. 1000 Island dressing. Gini - their are alot of familes here that use the becca system. I have heard alot of good thing about the becca system. Great job on the 14 lb. loss

Good Morning Ladies and Gent,
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. They always go to fast for me...lol I have a busy week ahead of me, so I will prob. just check in once in the morning and once in the evening. I have to leave the house by 11:00 everyday and pick up ds then off to do errands, EVERYDAY THIS WEEK We are throwing a surprise B-day party for my ds's teacher. She only has 5 kids, so us parents are going to surprise her on Fri. so I am the one who has to do the running since I do not work. I need to sit down and decide what I am having to eat today. I should make up a menu before I go grocery shopping so I will always know. Hard to believe we have less than a week to weigh in again. This month has flown by. I still need to rent Supersize me. I will prob. do that this weekend. For the DD challenge, I am doing cakes...I have already done one and passed with flying colors and I will be making another one thurs. night for the teacher. we are also having pizza for her too I already told the one lady that I would NOT be having any of that!!! She just looked at me..I haven't told anyone at school taht I am losing weight yet...I want them to notice well I hope you all have a great day, I am off to pick up the house for a bit.Kim |

Hello everyone ~
Well our weekend was great! Went to church yesterday and that was great too! After church we went out to lunch and here is where I got into a bit of trouble... We went to Red Lobster, I thought easy enough... Appetizer : Crab stuffed mushrooms ( my thinking... mushrooms stuffed with crab.... ) Not really I think there was bread in the crab stuffing... Next comes my order.... Outer banks grill It was grilled scallops, crab and sole.... again breadcrumbs in the crab that was on my fish.... Now at this point I tell myself "SELF, YOU HAVE HAD BREAD IN THE MUSHROOMS, BREAD IN THE FISH, WHY NOT HAVE ONE OF THESE YUMMY BISCUITS THAT ARE SMELLING SOOOOO YUMMY..." And yes, my hand reaches in the basket, grabs on of those sin discs, and brings it to my mouth! Now I am telling myself, no no you cant eat this its not on your program! And my hand forces it into my mouth and I began to chew... and ya know what.... It didn't even taste good! I put the biscuit down and gave it to my daughter. Instantly I start to add the carbs up in my head and I am happy to say that the whole little incident didn't cost me to much.... I just counted the whole lunch as 20 carbs and had only meat the rest of the day. Exercise didn't happen and water was only 80 oz So today I will be doing my best to reverse the affects of that sinful trip to RED LOBSTER! Personal note to self..... If it says stuffed it had breadcrumbs in it!! ![]() |
