I am exercising 6-7 days a week...in moderation. I need to get back into shape enough to do a real regimin. I am trying to get my minutes for the goals
![]() I am not sure if the 'we' you wrote referred to Group 10 or the whole challenge. I don't think the challenge specifies. The rules are: EXERCISE Less than 500 minutes exercise/month = -100 points 501-599 minutes of exercise/month = 35 points (avg 17 min/day) 600-749 minutes of exercise/month = 40 points (avg 20 min/day) 750-999 minutes of exercise/month = 50 points (avg 25 min/day) 1000-1149 minutes of exercise/month = 65 points (avg 33 min/day) 1150-1249 minutes of exercise/month = 80 points (avg 38 min/day) 1250-1499 minutes of exercise/month = 95 points (avg 42 min/day) 1500+ minutes of exercise per month = 120 points (avg 50 min/day)

I think I am posting to much...
I feel real stupid sharing this with you because it sounds so crazy, but it really has affected me, in a good way… I had a very amazing workout today…. I was doing the elliptical machine and instead of turning on the radio and listening to talk radio like I do, I put in an old rock CD of mine and started working out. It was great I was jamming to the beat and was singing along… Ok, huffing along, it got to the part of the song where the guy has wrecked his motorcycle and is dieing and seeing himself breaking out of his body and flying away. At this point in the song I see myself lying all curled up like I am dead or dieing…. Then I see myself breaking out of my fat body and becoming ME the thin me… The me I want to be! I started crying and at the end of the workout I was on such a High!!! It was like I saw myself re-born, into this new fit and healthy person.

Oh Mary- You can never post too much. It must have felt to good to the realization of what you are becoming.
Have to tell you all how good God is. We went to run to WalMart this afternoon. We went to start the car and NOTHING. It kept acting like it wanted to start but wouldnt. I assumed it was the starter. We called my father and Jarret's. Both confimed it was the starter. We just moved to a new town a little over 2 months ago so we dont know anyone. We only have one car right now cause Jarret's is still in TX with my parents. Well Jarret decided he would clean the battery cables because they were so corrodid. Then our next door neighbor saw him and offered a jump. PRAISE GOD it started right up. We took it to Auto Zone and they tested the battery and the alternator. Both are fine. So it turns out it is the battery cables. The started was going to cost us over $100 and the cable ends were only $5. Plus Jarret does NOT like working on cars. He only does it cause we cant afford to pay someone. God is so GOOD!!!!! We didnt get the cables changed tonight cause it was so late when this all started. Pray that it will start in the morning so we can go to church. Last thing- We bought a recumbant bike at WalMart tonight. It was $100. We are so excited. This will allow me to exercise and not hurt my ankles. I also bought Pilates for Dummies. We are hoping to buy some weights in the next few weeks. Today has been awesome!!!!

Keep posting everyone!
I think the excitement just increases for everyone when we share! Mary, I love that visualization! (Was that Leader of the Pack? Vrrrm Vrmmm! LOL) Shanna! Woot great news on the car, and I am so pleased you found that bike! Liz, how did the birthday go? Happy Birthday! ! I have been exercising to Vicki Yohe cd I Just Want You. Awesome Christian songs and singer! You can hear a sample here: http://www.vickiyohe.org/music.htm I'm cooking something yummy with chicken breasts cut into strips with green beans, poultry spices, summer savory, 0 carb balsamic vingrette (just a dash) etc. Sure smells good! I love how creative you can get with chicken! DD says 'Mom, it's only been a week!" but I am proud of myself for all the things I am doing to make this work including journaling my food, checking my bs more frequently, charting my progress etc! This thread really inspired me today! Check out her stats and what she accomplished last year! I want to do the same this year Onederland, I have arrived!- proof enclosedHugs, and prayers for all of you! Last edited by Gini : 01-08-2005 at 09:33 PM. |

GOOD MORNING!!!
I did 30 mins on the bike last night!!! I am excited. I was going to get my exercise done this morning but I didnt fall asleep till almost 3 am so I was beyond tired. I have a problem with going to sleep. I am going to go get some Melatonin today and hopefully that will help. The scale has went up a bit. What can I expect after losing 11 lbs in one week. My goal this week is to lose 2 lbs!!!! That would be so awesome. Jarret also did the bike yesterday and then he went on to do 50 crunches. WOW!!!! He is doing awesome also. His computer is still down until later this week. I dont let him on mine much. Well I will chat with you all later. Gotta go get my boys doing their school work. |

Happy Monday! I think both DD and I have a bit of a virus. I called in ill and spent the whole morning sleeping
![]() But hopefully, but not pushing myself when ill I have kept myself from getting majorly ill with this. Scale is moving down again, it had bounced around for a few days....typical but not welcome LOL! I need to get one of those big 2005 desk calandars. I usually keep it on my wall for MD appts, orthodontist, school functions etc. But this year I decided I was going to string a ribbon thru both holes on the top, put a hook in the wall to hang it on, so that it can be flipped over to the back. On the back will be my SECRET!!! I am going to cover the back with graph paper and keep my wt loss chart there! (Secret so that every Tom, Dick, and Suzie that comes in my home is not reading it!) I did this once before when I had a 150 pound wt loss and it was very, very educational for me. Even when I bounced around if you took a ruler from week to week and month to month I was always making progress. It also pointed out what foods put on an instant water wt gain. Actually last time I had it covering my freezer door, and just didn't put my starting wt on it, just had 0, 9, 8, 7, 6, etc repeated down one column. It amazed me how many people actually stood there and studied it. But this time, I live in an apt, not a house, and will be having teenagers and maintenance people coming thru and I just feel like keeping it private. I will share it with only a select few. I know some people get upset with the bouncing around, I don't get upset by it since I know in the overall picture I am progressing. I personally do not do well without the daily weighing. I am just sharing this idea with other daily weighers. I do not want to start a discussion on the pros and cons of daily weighing. That has been kicked around so much til a dead horse LOL. Funny, the hardest thing so far is the water...but am up to 100 ounces daily. |

I'll do that for tomorrow!
Tonights exercises WATP 20 minutes stairs (4 5 minute sessions) 100 crunches as many pushups as I can stretches but not all at once either LOL however long it takes me water drunk, as of now is 84oz, try to get more in ![]()

Good Morning! Happy Tuesday!
I am still home with a virus The good news is the scale moved again and I am down 11 pounds now. ![]() Sounds like a good idea Liz!! We all need something to occupy our minds while we exercise! I want to buy a WATP tape. Do they sell them in places like Wal-Mart? Hope you all have a great day! You all will be in my prayers. |

Good morning everyone! Sorry I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. It was hubbys 40th Birthday and I spent the day cleaning and cooking for his Not Having a Birthday Party get together... He was adamant about not having a party so I had his mom and my parents for dinner. One of my sisters came too, so it was only 10 for dinner.
Food was good, stayed on plan. Made myself a Low Carb mini Cheese cake so I wouldn't feel left-out of the whole Cake thing, I didn't even eat it all... You have to love that natural appetite control Ketois gives you! Got 100 oz water in and 25 mins on the Elliptical will do at least the same today... If I am lucky maybe a bit more. Oh, I weighed yesterday and I have made my January Goal! Hope everyone has a great day! ![]() |

Hello everyone!!!!
How are you?? I am starting to worry with everyone slowing down on the posts. You can leave it is not allowed!!!!! ![]() Gini- I hope you are feeling better. Let us know. I love your idea about keeping track of your weight loss. Do you have excel? I have an awesome spreadsheet. You put in your weight and measurements and it does graphs for both. The my favorite thing about it though is it tells me what percentage I have lost towards my goal. That makes a huge difference. YEAH on the scale moving. Keep it moving!!! Wal Mart does sell the WATP. I saw them the other day when I bought my Pilates DVD. Liz- Great idea to get the exercise done. I watch TV while doing it. I rarely watch TV so this allows me time to watch something that I would like. Mary- Tell hubby . Awesome on the elliptical. How does your cheesecake taste? Does it have a Splenda after taste? I want a recipe for one that does not have the after taste. YEAH on the goal!!!!!!!!!!!! That is so awesome!!!I have done well with eating and water so far. I wish I could get more water in. But I fill like I am about to float away. I am getting in about 112 ozs a day and I just cant seem to swallow anymore than that. I am going to hit the bike soon. I know it is late but we had appts today and then with getting the boys school done. At least it will get done. I am aiming for 30 mins on the bike right now. I hope to up it 5 mins a week to up to 1 hr. We are seriously considering joining the gym. Jarret works for a huge company here and they offer great discounts. We can join Gold's for like 20 or 25 a month. So we'll see what comes of that. Well I will chat with you all soon. |

Well we have one poster with a broken puter.....so that makes less of us posting
pass on the news that we need his excellent contributions too ![]() So far I think the rest of us are trying to come in at least once a day. I did LC at 20-25 carbs for a about a year and a half and mainly was in a stall. (But it helped my diabetes a lot.) So this time I am counting calories too...seem to be running around 1660 each day, avoiding SF sweetners, avoiding diet soda, avoiding frankenfoods, avoiding chemicals in things like bacon and pepperoni, avoiding almost all lc products. So far so good! I want to lose at least 130 pounds this year...but am saying 100 for the challenge. More if God kicks in a metabolism boost ![]() I have excell, but really don't know how to use it Do you have a copy of your spreadsheet you could send me? Hugs to all!! |
