Smile BIGGEST LOSER CAPTAINS - ALL READ 1/8

Here are a few pieces of business I wanted to communicate with everyone:

*** To keep the threads manageable in size (# of pages) and our board clean, the threads that were initially created (by individual teams - specifically)will be deleted on Monday, January 10th at noon EST. I will do this periodically (probably on the 10th, 20th of each month) for this reason. WHAT I NEED THE CAPTAINS (specifically) TO DO: ANYTIME ON OR AFTER THE 9TH OF JANUARY, CREATE A NEW LINK WITH THE FOLLOWING FORMAT (This is what my team link will look like) :

Team Ocotillo (team 1) 1/10

This link is now your new team area until the next request (on the 20th).....THE NEWLY CREATED LINK SHOULD BE CREATED ON THE 9TH OF JANUARY BY TEAM CAPTAINS.

***Statistical reporting will be done on the 15th as you are well aware. There will be a similar communication by me as we get closer to the 15th - on WHAT you are to report on. Remember it is the team captain's responsibility to ensure all the necessary information has been gathered and submitted properly. More on that in the coming days so just sit tight for now.

Also, captains, you may want to communicate this within your teams so everyone is on the same page.

Bump this message once in awhile....

I understand the reason you're doing this - but sometimes it's nice to look back on history and see how far we've come down the track

I agree with serenity_aus - the threads should not be deleted cause having the history to look on is nice. The old threads will move to other pages pretty quickly

I agree with them too. I like to look back on previous posts. It helps everyone with suggestions and ideas as well on things to do to get the ball rolling more.

Okay No Problem!

Okay, the old threads will NOT be deleted. I understand that they may be a useful resource for some of you. Thanks for your inputs everyone. I ask that everyone just keep their threads manageable in size (maybe create a new thread around the 4 page mark - then inform your teammates of the "newly created" thread.) My concern was that our board will experience unnecessary clutter. As new threads are created, old threads will just continue to trickle down. It is important that everyone on each team knows which thread is the current one. Team captains this is your job. All Set.

Well I guess I will add my input lol, as nice as it would be to go back and look at the beginning threads and so on I believe it would be easier to delete every 20 days, I know that when I was a newbie I had a horrible time managing my travel on the boards and then refinding them, so I agree with TMTL to delete every twenty days to give us MORE room for the new threads.
