05' BIGGEST LOSER CHALLENGE ~ TEAM 17~

Well Well Well!!! Here were are girls. It is time to kick some major low carb butt. We can all do this if we stick together. Post as often as possible and feel free to express whatever is going on. We are all here to support and encourage one another. I think it is a good idea to post menus, exercises, advice, feelings, and anything you think will help us all out. Now, all we need to do is think of a name.

Here is my day today lined out.

B~ low carb vanilla slim fast shake
L~ 1.5 cups fried cabbage with 5 oz beef smoked sausages
D~ 5 oz beef stew meat sauteed in 1 1tbsp olive oil with mushrooms and onions

Total: 1193
Fat: 87 784 72%
Carbs: 17 47 4%
Fiber: 5 0 0%
Protein: 63 251 23%

I drank 200 oz of water and could have drank more but I don't want to be in the potty room all night.

I jogged in place for 20 min (1.7 miles), 100 crunches, 50 squats, 50 times jumping rope, 25 pushups, twists for my waist, free weights for the arms, and 25 leg lifts. This was all completed in 42 minutes. I never knew how much I missed exercising until I finished today. I am going to be kicking some butt in this department from now on.

I'll go ahead and post mine from today too since you did.


Menu:
B: 3 oz pork chop, coffee w/ strawberry Atkins syrup
L: taco salad (1 c lettuce, 1 c meat, 1/4 c cheese, 1/3 c sour cream, 1 tbsp. salsa)
D: 1.5 c Cabbage and 3-4 oz. Sausage

Final totals for the day:

fat: 96g 70%
carbs: 23g-6g= 17 g net 6%
Pro:76g 25%

180 oz of water

took my vitamin

35 mins of exercise
25 jumping jacks, 20 jump rope, 25 squats, walk/jog 15 mins., 50 crunches, did arms while walking had cans of green beans (LOL), also did 6, yes 6 push ups.. I am so weak on my upper body...lol, stretches, twists at waist.

OK hopped on the scale this morning....are you ready for this????














207!!!!!!!!!!! I also saw 206 a couple times after the initial 207, but I'll stick w/ 207 for now!! That is still 3 lbs down from last night's weigh and 2 lbs down from yesterday morning!!

I am drinking 180 oz of water again today!! LOL

Awesome Amber. You are really dropping the weight fast. Keep it up and you will be in onderland in a few days.

As for me, I was down two pounds this morning as well. When I went potty at 3am the scale read 213 but at 6:30 it was 214 so I will be claiming only two pounds instead of the three it could have been. Hope to see another loss like that tomorrow.

It is only 8:30 and I am already down 90 oz of water. I will deffinately get in over 200oz today.

I will get my exercise done here and there today or when LaQuane takes a nap. He will aggravate me the whole time if I do it when he is paying attention to me.

My menu
B~ 3 oz pulled pork
L~ 4 oz pulled pork, 1 tbsp ranch, 2 deviled egg halves
D~ sm grilled pork steak, 1 cup spinach, 1 pat butter, 1 tbsp. ranch

It is scary how much Quane and DJ are alike. Just like us I guess. LOL. DJ toments me too.

Oh yeah for breakfast I had a shake instead of the eggs...


Most of my family has no electric but I do, so they are coming here to shower and stay over night I think. So I was on the scrambble early getting the picked up and then me and the girls showered and dressed before they all get here.

My dinner may change since they are all here I will probably cook something instead of having Subway like I planned.

DJ gets paid today so I need to go to the store anyway.

Okay girls... I just checked the thing and we are together ... This rocks!!

Sorry I didnt' get to check in last night.. Scott was on the puter after dinner, so you know how that goes. LOL I slept in a bit this morning...Scott took the kids downstairs and let me sleep.

I didn't get on the scale this morning ... i will tomorrow though.
But I did plan my menu for today and I am still under 20 net carbs... and I will drink at least 200 oz of water today.. I got in 240 yesterday.

B~ 2 hb eggs, coffee
L~ cream of spinach/mushroom soup, 1 can tuna w/ 2 tbsp miracle whip, 3 lettuce leaves to wrap it in.
D~ 6 oz chicken, 3 brussel sprouts....

WOO HOO Melissa I see you found us. Jump on that scale girly and see what the numbers bring you today.

I got in a short workout earlier. I did 20 minutes worth.
~ 50 crunches
~ 25 squats each leg
~ 25 leg lifts each leg
~ 10 pushups
~ weights for my arms

I will get in at least 20 minutes more exercise later today when dh is napping...LOL.

I have also chugged 150oz of water today so far. I am aiming for at least 250oz today.

I have changed my menu since I have had guests all day here. We are having a blast.

So here is my menU:
B: shake, coffee
L: turkey wrap w/ cheese, lettuce, mayo, tomato, bacon and fried zucchini
D: Taco Salad

I am shooting for 180 oz water still. Working on my second bottle of 70 oz now.

I have surpased my expectations on water today. I am at 264oz right now and know I will at least get to 300oz. I have been on the potty most of the day but will be happy if it pays off.

I got in another 15 minutes of exercise. I ended up doing abs of steel in 15 min. It is a hard workout but worth it. My legs and abs are killing me today so I am going to do some easier exercises tomorrow. I may even just do a WATP video.

Good Morning Melissa and Amber

The scale was very good to me again this morning. I was down another 2.5 pounds making it a total of 9.5 Since Jan. 1, 2005. I am praying to be back to my lowest by the end of next week.

I truely think that a good low carb menu and water is the . I ended up drinking a whopping 320oz of water Yesterday. That is a new record for me. I am going to push it again today and see what happens.

I am go do to a smaller amount of exercises today. My thighs and calves hurt so bad it hurts to even touch them. I will try mostly to do upper body stuff today.

My menu
B~ slim fast lc vanilla shake
L~ 4 oz pulled pork with 1 tbsp ranch
D~ Criss cross chicken with bacon, cream cheese and green onion, 1.5 cups cauliflower with butter and shredded cheese

Sorry girls...but you know how it is when DH is home... on those days I may only get on here once a day...but I will post once each day!! Okay didn't get on the scale today either.... just got right up.... but tomorrow for sure I will be on it.

I even did some exercise last night..... I am going to do some more today... of some kind. I know I am not even close to what you guys are doing...but I hope I am contributing somehow and hope to just get better and better at it!!
Okay here is mymenu for today...

D~ 3 fish filets, 3 brussel sprouts and 1 cup lettuce salad....

Here are my totals for the day... I kept under 20 carbs which is my goal each day.....

I will drink at least 200 oz water today...kids are back in school so I will be working up a sweat sweeping, & washing floors, and trying to get in and clean my closet out... not sure that will get done today...but I may start it.

WTG on the loss Reva.... I agree that the menu and water are the biggest keys... HOpe you girls have a great day... DH keeps coming in here looking to get on the puter...I am gonna have to get up at 5 am to use it before he gets up..... LOL

Hey girls!

I was back down to 208 this morning. This will be a quick post for now b/c I have a meeting at the church in an hour. My family is still staying here as well.

Not sure about today's menu. I am still working on it and will post later.

Last night I ended up going to Outback for dinner.

I had a salad w/ ranch, the broccoli out of the steamed veggies mix, and about 1/4 of a 12 oz steak. Bought the steak home and will eat the leftover for lunch today.


Drank over 150 oz yesterday and plan to try to do it again and more today.

Oh yeah, I also finally found a Walk Away the Pounds DVD last night. It came w/ a book too so I am excited about that.
