Acidophilus side effects?

I bought some acidophilus probiotic complex tablets to help my yeast infection. I took the first one today and am experiencing bloating and gas (which was listed as some of the side effects). I also noticed a dryness in my mouth about an hour after taking it. Has anyone else experienced this? Dry mouth is not listed as one of the side effects.

Thanks for responding. I didn't get diarrhea from them but I did notice the dry mouth. Do you still take them? Have they helped the yeast infection?

Yes they have helped greatly. I took the advice of someone on this board and insert a capsule for the yeast infection. It cleared up. Stopped doing that and felt it coming back on. Started again and it is better again. I also take them by mouth 3 2x per day. I also use Nutrition Now Yeast Defense.

I think I "imagined" the dry mouth and decided to try them again. I'm taking GNC acidophilus probiotic complex 3 times a day and I've noticed a great improvement! The rash under my breast looks a lot better and the itching is not nearly as bad. I'm sharing in the hopes it helps someone else.

I got bloating and diarrhea when I started. Your body adjusts after a while.

Never heard about inserting them for yeast infections. I've only had 1 infection in my life, but omg, that was 1 too many! What a terrible experience. If it ever surfaces again I will definately try inserting the capsule.
How far in do you insert?

I think I do better with different strains than others. Bifidus - I'm fine. Acidophilus - gave me some really painful heartburn. Couldn't stick with it long enough to see if it would resolve itself!!
