Question about the Candida Test. The first part was clear to me but after that I wasn't sure if it meant symptons I'm having now or have had, for example, being post menopause, I no longer have problems with my period, should I answer as it was when I was having periods or now? In other words, if I used to have the problem, should I answer yes?
Thanks, Sheryl |

Well, I can't say I am free and clear... I still had a teeny bit of that hangover feeling this morning BUT I no longer look like I was run over by a bus (except that zit which is 75% healed...) I do not have that pale bloated and tired look either.
Anyhoo.. the weight. I am actually up .2lbs from a week ago, (when I was at my low weight on day 2 of TOM.) So officially I have not lost an OUNCE since quitting dairy and adding ACV and more CO. Considering cream was a HUGE part of my day.. this is frustrating, because I assumed I was dealing with a slower weight loss as a trade off to enjoy my cream. But in any case, rarely do I show inch loss and scale loss at the same time... I will be getting fully clothed for the first time since Saturday (I cannot stand the feeling of clothes next to my skin this week... I feel my skin needs to brreeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaathe) so maybe i have lost some inches (that would be nice!!) I think it can only get better... time will tell! I am hanging on and on and on! |

So...If you have had those, I would put yes. ETA: I haven't had a period since Christmas last year. I answered it like what it was like when I did have them. HTH Last edited by Tooter; 09-24-2008 at 07:49 AM.. |

I suspect that I have candida.
Most of last year was spent on antibiotics for an abcess in the root space of a tooth. I had braces for several years in the late 70s so the roots of my teeth are about half the lenght they should be. The tooth never hurt and it was only after the 12th sinus infection in a year that they ran a CT and found a problem with the tooth. I tried CO, and loved the taste and went overboard - thought I was gonna DIE. So, I'm starting very very slowly. I've added 2t of AVC and 1t of CO once a day and will take it from here.

Weird places to lose weight...
I was walking my dog today, I was wearing my favorite pair of sandals. I wear them every day. Well they have got so darn loose that they flop around on my feet. I almost tripped too. My foot slides right out the front of the sandal. I know that yeast makes you retain water, so I am guessing the 5 pounds I have lost in the past 10 days is just that, water. Maybe my feet were swollen all this time. I must have peed so much that I got smaller feet. To bad my butt didn't shrink!!! ![]()

Since I'm just starting with cleaning the yeasties, should I look at anything beyond the CO and ACV? I've got some good powdered probiotics on order (thank you Fawn!).
I need to do this very gently. |

Wen I would recommend waiting to use the prob's
Get a good regime going with the CO and ACV.. we need to start by starving the yeast first. Bee Wilder suggest waiting until the last step to build back the good flora.. this would be AFTER we have taken care of the overgrowth. Diet first (this includes working your way up to 5-6TB of CO a day) Antifungals second Pro-b's last Your body will thank you for taking it slowly ![]() |

I mixed chocolate with coconut oil and macadamia nut butter - and ate about 6 T at one setting - it was sooooooo good.
About six hours later, I could hardly stand up for shaking so hard, and was trying to throw up (I have a lapband and I can't throw up) to the point I pulled muscles. And then the other instinal discomfort started. Yep - very very slowly up to 6 T of CO |

I only scored 16%, but I notice after cutting my carbs I'm having what you ladies describe as the die off flu-like symptoms. My house is at 76 degrees and I'm sweating. Yesterday I felt great and went for a walk/ jog and today I feel lethargic. I did notice that my tongue isn't as patchy as it was a week ago!!
I can't wait to see how I feel when I start the CO!! I'm also looking at oil pulling... Last edited by BusyBeeMommy; 09-24-2008 at 10:25 AM.. |

Thanks, Tooter. I just retook the test and this time I was at 38%. When I took it first time, I was at 25%. Considering the rash I get when I eat bread, no surprise to me.
Remembered to bring my ACV, aloe vera drink concoction to work with me today. So, I'll be alternating that with water. Made up 3 different flavors of the coconut oil bark last night. I'm using xylitol as the main sweetener. I don't use cocoa but am using flavor drops for the different flavors and coconut (unsweetened, of course, and flax meal). This works for me and DD, hubby doesn't care for it. Have to figure a way to get the CO into him. At least I have them both drinking my concoction. Have only had one episode of "almost falling asleep" at work so far today. Sure beats the Thurs, Fri., and yesterday when it was not just almost and several times during the day. Boy, if killing off the yeast solves this problem. Also not belching quite as much today. Finding all of this very interesting. Sheryl |

I took the questioare
I got Maximum: Your score is 371, or 66 percent The questions reminded me of the ones my Rheumatoid, neurologist and immunologist have given me in the past. They all came up with different answers and different meds to cure me. None said yeast, except my Rheumatoid Dr. She suggested it, but it went no farther than that. Makes you go hmmm. |

my step dad's RA flares up when he consumes olive oil.
he tried coconut oil and he got heart palpitations. heart palpitations are a sign of candida die off. he would score 795 on that test (only because he has never been pregnant). it is so frustrating to have a pocket full of golden tickets to give away, when nobody wants to do the work to just grab them and read the fine print... we can only hope that our successes will be so obvious that the people we love cannot help but consider all of this. At least my hubby is 110% on board and supportive for me to get to the other side of this, but I think all he saw in the list of candida overgrowth symptoms was 'lack of sex drive'... funny how that jumped out at him. |
