Can u tell me what this colloidal silver is, where do I buy it (I am in BC, canada) and how much do I use?
Or should I see my own dr, go to a health food store?

I got mine from my ND. However, I have seen it at the health food stores as well. He is having me put a "dropper-full" in my water throughout the day. I am putting about 3/4 of a dropper into a 1liter bottle of water and sipping it, as I refill, I add the colloidal silver.

My mom had severe problems with yeast. The doc even threatened to hospitolize her. She was told acidophilus ( a natural occuring good bacteria for the gut)(sp?) was an awesome supplement and it seems to have really helped her. SHe is much better. Good luck.

It can't hurt to add some coconut oil to your diet as well. People seem to have great results vs. candida.

I would highly recommend VCO, and work up to using 3TB a day. If you're worried about your calorie intake, just substitute the other fats you use for VCO. I even make a garlic mayo with it!
Also, Oil of Oregano, Grapefruit Seed Extract (Citricidal), beneficial bacteria (Acidophilus and such), a fiber supplement (Psyllium Husk), fish oil, and a diet specific to candida elimination will all help.
I have candida, and I have to say, if I practice what I'm preaching here, it helps a lot, to the point where I have no symptoms at all!

Good luck, I hope it helps!

Yeast & Getting it Under Control

I had a TERRIBLE problem with yeast (and still have to keep it under control).

The slow weight loss is due to the excess yeast in your system. I am surprised that you are not experiencing uncontrollable sugar cravings due to yeast die off. Yeast die off begins to happen on low carb because you don't feed it with carbs and sugars.

The fastest way to get the die-off to occur is to be super strict on this diet...and remember to avoid dairy...even cheese. Even tomatoes can be a problem with some people. Stick to the greens and the meats and eggs.

To ease the symptoms of die-off (so you don't end up with a yeast infection or the like) take probiotics. The best probiotics can be found at the health food stores. You need one that has acidophilus and hopefully bifidus and the others. The pills will probably work best (or the powder) Be careful about chewables because they usually have sugars.

The good bacteria (the probiotics) will help balance your intestinal track and help you absorb your nutrients better etc. I can't lose weight without probiotics.

Drink a ton of water and hang in there. If you start feeling like you have the flu, smile. It means the yeast is dying. I just restarted induction about 3 weeks ago and I felt AWFUL for 2 of those weeks...joints were aching, etc. I felt 100 yrs. old. Then I had an energy boost of gigantic proportions on week 3.

Hope that helps you,
Deb

Thanks for your info. I do have sugar cravings...........still. I have had Vertigo for the past three days and have been taking LACTOBACILLUS ACIDOPHILUS & BIFIDUS. It says 1 - 3 capsules per day. I have been taking 3. How many should I take daily?

I have been taking co for 2 months now about 5 tbsp. per day so still cannot understand the slow weight loss.

Good grief why do we have this? I only have a few lbs to lose and never get yeast infections?

I made some co coconut cookies yesterday for my sugar craving and then got really bad vertigo after eating 7 of them.............extremely bad!!

If the potency is high enough, 3 a day should be enough. Yeast problems can hit anyone unfortunately. I never had a weight problem growing up and can look back and see that I've had a mild to severe case of candida most of my life. This won't be too encouraging, but candida can take years to completely come under control. About every 7 years your body goes through changes. It took about that long for me to stop having a "systemic" problem, meaning I had the chronic fatigue and the whole nine yards.

Have you ever read a book on candida? There is a book I bought years ago called "The Yeast Connection"...and it even has a questionairre in it. I think there are more people who have carbohydrate addictions due to candida than most realize. The cravings are powerful and strong. Those little yeast spores want to live and if you starve them they get mean.

The low carb dieting is the only thing that works long-term. But you really have to stay away from flours. Be aware, also, that some people (like myself) have troubles with more than just yeast overgrowth. I can get an insulin response from TASTING something sweet. I have to even extremely limit all the cheat foods...like low carb candy, ice cream, and substitution products like pizza crusts etc. Beware of nuts also...as they are bad for candida sufferers.

Just hang in there. It really does get better over time.

Cheers,
Deb

HAve you tried oil of oregano? It worked really well for sorting out my yeast problems. THe downside is that there is a side effect of the occasional pizza tasting burp, particularly at the start when there is yeast die off.
