This is a journal to help me learn LC tactics and to record LC success as 2007 draws to an end and 2008 looms large and hopeful ahead of me.

Wish me luck! Luck?

Ah, luck is the residue of design.

Found that in a fortune cookie, ages ago.

Fits into the LC mantra about how failing to plan is planning to fail. So my plans start out each day with a hot slosh of WPP+cocoa+espresso+VCO so that I start off feeling like a LC success. Yay, me!

LC tactics ~ having fun without food

Posted 12-20-2007 at 05:45 PM by Zer
http://www.themaninblue.com/experiment/SSCrabble/ is my latest way of having fun without food. Both hands on the keyboard, brain fully engaged. Just scored a 700 that involved building EROTIC and NORTHERLY and a slew of other words that I don't even know the meaning of and would not have attempted in a real game with a partner who might ask me to use a weird word in a sentence or to define it. I feel as if I'm carving new pathways in my brain. And I'm having fun without food!

What are some of your favorite ways to have fun without food?

Zer's Journal ~ A Journey from 8.5# (at birth) to 508.7# (at 60)...to LC health!

Posted 12-20-2007 at 10:30 AM by Zer
Just started my journal (for stats) and posted a pic of my 400# hips and a massive arm at http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/we...ml#post9661005

It is so hard to look at that pic. So hard to see ME as I truly am. So hard to realize that I have dropped 100# and still am more massive than I can comprehend. So hard. So posting this pic is a commitment to acknowledge my true size. Hard to face facts, as I have been 400# or more for the 2d half of my life, for most of my career. Sigh.

LC - what's it all about?

What a ditz! I just posted a comment on the comments on my prior post! Now I see that I can post to my blog (as I'm now doing) - sigh, what a steep learning curve I have!

LC - what's it all about??? Oh, I came to LC to lose weight. First read Atkins just about the time I decided to try WLSurgery in mid 1970s. Bad idea for me, personally, and it was reversed just in time to keep me from vanishing altogether. I got back all of the weight I'd lost (200# in 10mos) and will never regain some of the function I lost through malnutrition. I starved for 10mos, was not able to sustain...

I live in SoCal and shall turn 64 in February 2008 and am hopeful of seeing the last of 400# before starting my 65th year - only the last 35 or so being obese years.

I welcome any and all support. Welcome to my blog.
