This is a journal to help me learn LC tactics and to record LC success as 2007 draws to an end and 2008 looms large and hopeful ahead of me.

Wish me luck! Luck?

Ah, luck is the residue of design.

Found that in a fortune cookie, ages ago.

Fits into the LC mantra about how failing to plan is planning to fail. So my plans start out each day with a hot slosh of WPP+cocoa+espresso+VCO so that I start off feeling like a LC success. Yay, me!

The Game of Life

As I weigh the pros and cons of simplifying my life by reducing contact with people whose core values differ from mine, I find an online game a warning against risking becoming too isolated by cutting off anyone's outreach.

The Rules
For a space that is 'populated':

Each cell with one or no neighbors dies, as if by loneliness.
Each cell with four or more neighbors dies, as if by overpopulation.
Each cell with two or three neighbors survives.
For a space that is 'empty' or 'unpopulated'
Each cell with three neighbors becomes populated.

One month 'til Valentine's Day. Planning ahead.

Posted 01-14-2008 at 09:30 AM by Zer
Without a sweetheart, one wonders what to do with Valentine's Day. Maybe something special from me to me...but NOT anything chocolate!

Might be a great day for me to spend on my feet, giving feet (and hands) a soaking and creaming.

So many of us do very little for ourself. Selfish? How bad a thing can it be, to take good care of one's own Self? By caring for ourSelf, we learn to offer care to others. I'm going to spend the next 30days being My Best Friend, caring for my Self, as I prepare for the day devoted to sweethearts and lovers. Sigh.

Just don't look good nekkid anymore (song lyric)

Posted 01-14-2008 at 12:02 AM by Zer
I kid you not, I'm listening to a corny country classic radio station and cannot believe my ears as a guy is singing "I just don't look good nekkid anymore...maybe I never did" and more of the same. My kind of music: corny country music! Don't believe me? See lyrics here: http://www.missourivalley.usta.com/n...005&itype=1268 http://www.themadmusicarchive.com/so...px?SongID=4996

One of the best goals I've heard is one I may never achieve, but I do admire it: I WANT TO LOOK GOOD NAKED! Yep, there is a nudist in this big blobby...

Competence ~ a word with powerful implications!

Competent is one of the words that comes to mind as I attempt to explain the radiant feeling I get as I drink my morning hot slosh ~ 40g of protein in two scoops of WPP with a spoonful of espresso and a spoonful of raw cacao powder to cut the sweetness of stevia in ALGittleman's vanilla WPP. I still am astonished at how it hits me, how empowered and successful I feel as I am suffused with a sense of competence and of being capable of nourishing myself.

Gives me quite a thrill, feeling competent.

In so many arenas I'm baffled and do not feel the least bit competent...

Life after weight loss (will I show fat pix? share pain of obesity?)

I posted something in my Weight Loss JOURNAL that I want there, just to see if I shift perspective as weight drops and maybe I feel I can share or help others. Right now, I doubt I shall be talking a lot about obesity once I hit ONEderLand myself.

Maybe this topic merits discussion, so I bring it to my BLOG so others can give me feedback on it and I can see the topic from different angles.

Just as I wrote that I think I'll not be looking back after I let go of all this weight, I see an article in PEOPLE magazine (1/14/08) about Susan Blech ("What Life Was Like at 500#), who
