Chronicling my journey into the world of low carb in a quest to lose 100 lbs in one year. I have Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution as my guide, this lowcarb friends forum for information, and the formidable trio of desperation, determination, and disgust giving me the swift kick in the rear that I need to get started.
Week 1- Day 7

Day 7, second day of high carb, high calorie.
It's hard to believe that my first week of carb cycling is over already. I still haven't decided whether I'm crazy or not for trying this experiment and possibly screwing up my plan, but I felt like I was stagnating and that the good times of dropping weight each week are over. Then I remind myself that this is a way of life for me and it's better to know what works and what doesn't now than later; what foods my body loves and what foods my body can't handle; what foods satisfy me and keep me on plan and what foods leave me hungry for more.
This is the second high carb day on the cycle and I've decided that each time I have a high carb day I'll introduce a different high carb item and keep one the same.
Menu:
Meal 1 - 1/4 cup uncooked Steel Cut Oatmeal, whipping cream, 1/4 cup blueberries. (divided into 2 meals)
Meal 2 - 6 oz Pork loin, mushrooms & cucumber
Meal 3 - 1/2 cup raw Navy Beans, Italian Sausage, Asparagus, Zucchini (Divided into 2 meals)
Meal 4 - Oatmeal, cream, blueberries meal.
Meal 5 - Beans, Sausage, Veggies meal.
Meal 6 - Cottage Cheese Cereal
