Trying something new.

Yesterday was the first day I tried IF. Intermittent Fasting.
I've read where a few people try this with a lowcarb diet and are healthy and happy with this plan.
Yesterday, I did 19/5. No food from 6:30pm until 1:30 the following day. I hate to eat breakfast anyway so after reading about this plan on other peoples journals I decided to give it a try. I have been in a battle for the last few weeks. I had gotten down to 146lbs. Then I yo-yoed my way back to 153lbs. For a week I was 149, then back to the 152/153 range. I believe my body likes the 50's but I am not ready to listen to my body just yet. This is the same body that want's to eat chocolate 24/7! I like the 50's myself...years not pounds. I will be 52 in September and I feel like I'm just getting it right. Life that is.
I was down a pound today. So I'm thinking that this IF is what I need to get the move back into my groove!

Bella, you are at my ultimate goal weight for 5'10" of healthy human being - not that I imagine I can get back to that weight at 64 or however long it takes to find my way to ONEderLand.
But it's inspiring to me to see you refining your body's weight, just as I hope to begin doing after I reach 199#. I'll be watching and listening as you work out the kinks in IF. |

Thank you Zer.
Before we know it, I will be at to my goal and you will be there to take my place at 150lbs! I want to make it to 135lbs then see if that's where I want to stay or if I set another goal at that time. I don't have the luxury of height that you do. I'm 5'4''. Really 5'4 1/2''. Got to count every 1/2 inch! Especially since I have been the shortest one at my house since my kids were 11 years old. They are adults now, ages 28 and 30. Remember, good wine and good women only get better with age! |
