No Vegetarian Induction For Me Today :(

I was all set to begin a vegetarian version of induction today in an attempt to get my blood sugar levels normal again but yesterday I hit a snag. It was totally my fault. I was trying to do a "detox" of eating only veggies, low GI fruit, and some nuts for five days to try and clean out some of the junk food I've been having the past week (weeks!) and I should have known it was a rotten idea. Of course I started to get headaches in the afternoon and, as usual, I over-medicated and that resulted in a massive migraine. So I kept taking pills throughout the night which made me queasy and...

Week 5 Weigh In - The Tape Measure Don't Lie :D

Since I didn't weigh myself on Monday because of the binge weekend (yeah, I was too chicken to see the damage...) I did weigh and measure this morning. Here are the results:

Weight: 138
Bust: 37.5 (- 0.5)
Waist: 34.5 (- 0.5)
Hips: 38 (- 0.5)

I'm very happy about these results. I expected to gain weight because of the binge weekend, so I'm happy I stayed the same. Also, I did add as of last week 4x a week 30 minutes of pilates with pilates resistance band which has me doing a tougher level of exercise than I've been used to for a while. So there...

Must say I'm in a good mood today . I've been lowcarbing for 5 weeks now and I'm back to being myself. Except for that one terrible week (and the rash is clearing up as well as the headaches) and that one binge weekend, I'm doing well, in terms of mood, health, and food addictions. I'm not losing weight/inches quickly, but as I mentioned before, my primary goal was to get out of the binge eating cycle and get some balance back into my body and this is exactly what's happened. Week 5, Day 2

Starting to feel better, as if the stuff I had going on last week is clearing up.

I felt it was time for me to change my exercise routine a bit, so I bought an exercise DVD that uses a pilates band. It has 5 10-minute workout segment and each segment targets a different area (lower body, upper body, abs, total body, and flexibility). I liked the idea of having short workouts so that I could mix and match and since I've gotten into a bit of a rut with exercise (other than walking) I thought I could handle 10 minute segments.

Week 5 - Feeling much Better!

Starting this week off much better than last week from every aspect. After the horrible weekend of junk food binges, I went this morning to the grocery store and bought some lowcarb stuff (i.e., dairy, veggie crumble, etc.) and now I'm back on track. Also bought some Benadryn for the rash which I hope will help. It's still painful but not as much so far. No headaches.

Work-wise, I'm also feeling better. I think part of what contributed to the headaches/rash was that I'm an anxious person by nature (though not clinically so) and this is the first time in a long time I've had to be...
