another day

Not much planned for today, yesterday was very relaxing. I went shopping and a movie! Hancock was pretty funny. So, today I am feeling all refreshed. No major plans for the weekend, the weather looks good so we will probably hang out around the house and our town. The good thing about the weak economy is that we do more "simple" things like bike rides and picnics.

I've been reading your post and wanted to thank you for being so helpful. I can imagine that many people do not understand your WOE... we become so "brainwashed" by what we consider to be "normal" in our society but I feel that we have strayed for from the way God intended us to live. This includes the way we eat as much as the way we behave and also the way we treat others. Several years ago, after one of my children was born and I needed to lose that extra weight, I joined a program that was being taught at my church.. I can't remember the name of it but it was set up to be a weight loss plan/Bible study. Basically, it called first for a long fast to cleanse your system.. you were not supposed to eat until you experienced "real" hunger.. meaning that your stomach was truly empty and your body was needing food.. it took some practice to recognize "real" hunger.. but after the "fast"... you were supposed to only eat when you were "hungry".. there were no strict guidelines about what to eat but things like "fat" and "meats" were not forbidden or restricted.. the basic principle was to return to basics and learn to eat only to fuel the body.. only when we are hungry. I lost 20 lbs easily. I've never been seriously overweight so I can't relate to many of the others in that area but I feel for them and their struggles but we must all find what works for us. I admire how you take care of yourself and also that although you want to share your experience with others in order to help them.. you do not push your WOE on everyone and I've not seen in your post where your put down others for their choice in diet. Thanks again for your help and suggestions on the message boards.. I can't wait until I feel comfortable enough to wear a bikini again... you look great! God Bless... Darlene
