the title is pretty self explanatory. "Taking Control". I have spent too long allowing my feelings: physical and/or mental to control me. it's time to change all that (past time, really).

as of today, I am taking back my life. I want the control back. I want to feel good and be healthy and I can't do it if I continue on the way I am.

I am embarrassed and upset with myself that I'm where I am. I honestly believed I would not ever be anywhere near close to this size again. yet...here I am basically with the same issues I had before I ever started this journey so long ago.

today and the future is MINE!
it's mine to do with what I CHOOSE to do. healthy or not healthy. I choose healthy!


now I know, just my saying it is not going to make it be so. I know I'm going to have struggles along the way. I know I'm not going to be perfect. but I have to make a choice and at least start backing up my words with action on a consistent basis.

today I choose to make the changes in the behaviors that I need in order to be the "me" that I want to be.

November 22, day 22 (week 4)

ok, so I didn't do as well on my weekly goals as I had hoped. I did fine on my food and got almost all my exercise in (was 1 day short on cardio). I also kept the areas of my house I got clean in control. a couple days I didn't get dishes done at night but there were only a few and I got them done in the morning so I'm ok with that. it's when I let them go and go and build up that I am and mad at myself.


I didn't do good on my personal quiet/devotional time and I didn't really do much extra in the house. just maintained what I've done so far for the most part....

November 21, Day 21 (week 3)

wow, this is the end of 3 solid weeks!

not sure what's going on today. I don't have a car today so I'll be sticking around the house. I think I'll do some decluttering and cleaning today but I do need to get some exercise in too.


we'll see how much my body holds out for both exercise AND cleaning eeeeeeeeek!


ETA: I did get my weight routine in tonight. my day didn't quite go like planned but I got it done. I didn't however get cardio in. no WAY could I do it after my weights. it kicked my butt. I think my fitness coach hates me!

November 20, Day 20 (week 3)

just a quick post to get my day started. day 20 and all's well! I didnt' seem to have too much trouble getting back on after my free meal. was a teeeeeeeeensy weeeeeeeeeeeeensy bit tempted by the open container of milk duds so I put them in my daughter's room last night just to be safe.



not sure if I'll be able to walk today or not for exercise. my back is pretty sore this morning from my work out last night so if it's hurting too much I'll take a rest day and see how I am tomorrow.

exercise has to be top priority today. I HAVE to get it in no matter what since last night I pushed it aside again. ended up watching a movie and just hanging out.


not sure about food today, but it will be ON plan.

just a quick post to mark my day!

no real plans. I am going to try and get a weight routine in this afternoon.


I am not set up very well for on plan eating today but I'll make it.


ETA: I did fine with my food, actually, I didn't. I didn't EAT enough . I didn't get my exercise in, though. going to have to make that top priority for Wed.
