New Year! Who Knew??

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
The New Year has been busy as one of my personal resolutions is to put more effort into my dating life. I always liken it to working out - something I don't particularly like or look forward to doing, but know I have to in order to get results...I've been doing the emails, telephone chats and dinners. Darn exhausting! and not leaving me as much time to do my workouts lol. So for this month I'm going to put some fitness goals on hold, while I make the goal to find the balance between boys and working out. One of the challenges is finding time to do my workout when I have a date the same day.
I'm back in my Challenges (Barre and Callanetics). I fell one session short of Callanetics in December, but am still happy with the progress I've made. I'm nervous about making predictions and getting too focused on results, or I may throw in the towel. But I do think I'm seeing small changes. On Thursday (1 mth) I take my measurements, and do new progress pics. I have to vow that no matter the results to continue forward!!
Oh! I wanted to share a post I made about watching tv while doing Callanetics - honestly it's been a lifesaver:
"Ya know I was about 10 sessions in and complaining about how much I hated doing it, when a friend said she'd been doing it while watching tv. OMG it had never occurred to me! I thought you had to concentrate solely on a dvd when doing exercise, so it was almost like she spoke blasphemy lol. I gotta say that my last 4 or so sessions have been while watching something I've saved on tivo and it has helped tremendously. I pause tivo and/or dvd get into good form, press play again and distract myself with tv while I complete some tortuous reps (ab work anyone??). I've just found that I no longer try to race through the dvd by concentrating on the counter. When it gets hard and I want to stop I just focus on the tv and keep going. TV is a great tip!"
