I have learned that my addiction affects me physically, Mentally, and Spiritually. So I know I need to be working on those three areas every day to become well. (better than well)

This will be my blog about my journey to those lands.

NSVS (NON-SCALE VICTORIES)

I like celebrating nsv's. It is good to notice more than numbers going down.

For instance: I attended a wedding over the weekend. I ate a low point breakfast and lunch on the day of the wedding knowing that the evening meal was going to be served at the wedding and I might have a drink or two.

I had 21 pts to play with when it came to the wedding meal. I filled up on the appetizers which were fresh fruit and veggies. I had a couple meatballs and a small bit of ziti when that was passed around. I had a small bit of salad and I ate the baked stuffed chicken breast. I also had two drinks.

Nsv: I left before the dessert table was put out at the end.

Nsv: I drove myself to the wedding so I could leave when I wanted to not when the rest of my family did.

Nsv: I did not drink more than I needed to. That would have weakened my defenses.

Nsv: I avoided troublesome ppl and conversations which could have become an emotional trigger for just eating. I know what my limits are with these people.

Nsv: One of the best moments of the night besides the bride dancing with her father was me driving home early in my own car because I thot enuf of myself to plan ahead and insist on taking my own car. Big time nsv!!
