Low Carb or Weight Watchers?

Posted 04-05-2008 at 07:30 AM by slimdays
This subject has come up on our WW's board. Since most of us have done both it has been interesting.

I think I did low carb in 2001 - 2002. I lost a lot of weight really fast and I was enjoying food that had been on the no-no list for years. It was fun at first. I met ppl on this website and we started gathering once a month at a restaurant location and having a very good time with one another. It was the first time I ever met someone I had only known online.

The problem was that I really missed some of the foods that were not on low carb. Potatoes, fruit. I noticed that when I was food shopping I was lusting over the bananas. After a while I began wondering how can this be all right not to eat fruit? God meant for us to eat the fruit of the trees.

So I had 3-4 years of just doing no kind of diet. My weight sored to it's highest ever. It was a struggle to do anything physical. I knew I had to do something but I still hadn't given into going back to WW's of which I am a lifetime member.

In January of this year I made the choice and I am so glad I did. WW's is a plan that I can live with for the rest of my life. It makes sense. It incorporates all food groups. I can have what I want and count my points and move on.

I think I can lose weight on any diet if I am doing it according to the plan. I always knew that. So it is which one do I want to live with? That would be Weight Watchers!
