I have learned that my addiction affects me physically, Mentally, and Spiritually. So I know I need to be working on those three areas every day to become well. (better than well)

This will be my blog about my journey to those lands.

OA and other 12-step groups

I dabbled with OA for a bit several years ago. I felt they were too militant. Since there is always a percentage of ppl doing grey sheet in OA. I find that plan to be very militant.

Also I am a member of alanon and have been for 21 years. When I attended OA all I wanted to do was strongly suggest Alanon for all of them.

I had friends who weighed and measured all their food, even at restaurants and they seemed obsessed. I just believed there had to be a kinder way to do this.

I went back to WW's in 2000. I had some success but then I investigated Atkins plan and gave it a try. I had more success with that until I gave into my desire for bananas.

Anyway, Now I am back at WW's in 2008 and I am loving it. I love having no restrictions other than points. Actually there is an optional plan that does not involve points. Just eating heallthy food.

I am grateful for WW's. I know it is solid and dependable.

I am grateful that hubby bought me a treadmill 8 years ago and it is always here waiting for me to get ready. Now I get on it 5 times a week.... right in my own home! Ya gotta love it.

I am grateful to have a closet full of 2x size clothes to fit into. Soon, very soon.

I am very very grateful for my supernatural motivation and attitude. Thank you God!
