Today is Friday and I've been having a difficult week...and overall a difficul time losing weight. First of all, I ate half of a Carrot Cake....but was on plan prior to that eating Whitecastle Pie...but that seemed to be a lot of calories...and cheese!

When I was on Atkins I stuck to it but I was tired all of the time and I was eating a lot of fat, but especially a lost of cheese.... I've been reading a lot of diets on this forum trying to figure out just what is right for me... I like CAD and lost initially 5 pounds, but nothing after that. Then I started cycling and kept gaining and losing the same 5 pounds... Then went to South Beach and lost that 5 pounds in a two week period and nothing since....that was around August 9th...

Based on what I know for sure, I know that when I switch diets I lose weight initially that week but afterwards nothing. So that is telling me that I need to switch things up to continue losing, however, that could simply mean adding in some good carbs and not switching plans...

Plans that I am considering are Eat Fat Get Thin, Barry Groves, and Suzanne Sommers, Sommercize Program....

Today Fawn suggested that following these guidelines would result in a good weight loss program....

A solid weight loss plan that most will not have any problems losing on would include:
animal proteins including eggs and fish
coconut oil
olive oil
butter
vegetables all other than root veggies and corn
avocado

Now that's pretty boring but it's a guaranteed weight loss plan.

Let your enthusiasm show...

Enthusiasm costs you absolutely nothing and requires no special skills. It is yours the moment you choose to embrace it.

When you do, your world changes. The problems turn into opportunities and the challenges become fields upon which you can create new value.

Enthusiasm infuses you with a heightened sense of purpose.

Enthusiasm provides you with a beneficial immunity against any setbacks that may come.

Enthusiasm is contagious and...

Do Something About It...

Posted 10-02-2008 at 06:35 AM by skeeweeaka
Do something about it...

When something is troubling you, make the commitment to change it. Then begin to act on that decision right away.

Some of the influences in your life are under your control, and many of those influences are outside your control. Yet you can always decide upon and put into action a positive response to anything.

Don't sit around being amazed at how miserable you are and at how unfairly life is treating you. Instead, be amazed at how quickly and effectively you can do something about it.

Don't complain to others

Bioidentical Hormone Help....

I've been down this path before. Researching doctors in my area that will provide Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy only to get to the doctors office and not find them so open minded. Only to find out that they are rigid in their thinking that if ones tests fall with the "normal" range then one has to be normal. However, without a baseline, how on earth can they determine what is "normal" for that particular person, everyone is different. Each one of us has a different finger print than the other! All or nothing thinking in doctors pisses me off, especially in my neighborhood....

Prozak posted this recipe... Will have to give it a try... This would definitely diminish my reliance on heavy cream....

in a blender I put:

1 egg (organic)
1/4 cup of coconut milk (full fat)

while that is slowly blending (too fast makes it tooo foamy for me)
I pour in my melted Virgin Coconut Oil

Then I slowly stir it into my hot coffee and enjoy!

I am now up to TWO EGGS and 3tbs of VCO, and it is like having breakfast!!! (mind you my coffee mugs are XXL)

Thin and Crispy Pizza Crust
Heat oven to 450 degrees
In a bowl thoroughly combine
3 eggs
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp basil
press evenly into Pam sprayed pizza pan or cookie sheet
(this makes one 16 inch pizza crust)
Bake at 450 degrees until golden brown (about 10 to 15 minutes)

Here is what your crust looks like after baking

It will completely lift off your cookie sheet. I patted the grease off of it, but that...
