Today is Friday and I've been having a difficult week...and overall a difficul time losing weight. First of all, I ate half of a Carrot Cake....but was on plan prior to that eating Whitecastle Pie...but that seemed to be a lot of calories...and cheese!

When I was on Atkins I stuck to it but I was tired all of the time and I was eating a lot of fat, but especially a lost of cheese.... I've been reading a lot of diets on this forum trying to figure out just what is right for me... I like CAD and lost initially 5 pounds, but nothing after that. Then I started cycling and kept gaining and losing the same 5 pounds... Then went to South Beach and lost that 5 pounds in a two week period and nothing since....that was around August 9th...

Based on what I know for sure, I know that when I switch diets I lose weight initially that week but afterwards nothing. So that is telling me that I need to switch things up to continue losing, however, that could simply mean adding in some good carbs and not switching plans...

Plans that I am considering are Eat Fat Get Thin, Barry Groves, and Suzanne Sommers, Sommercize Program....

Today Fawn suggested that following these guidelines would result in a good weight loss program....

A solid weight loss plan that most will not have any problems losing on would include:
animal proteins including eggs and fish
coconut oil
olive oil
butter
vegetables all other than root veggies and corn
avocado

Now that's pretty boring but it's a guaranteed weight loss plan.

Deep Dish Pizza Quiche...

DEEP DISH PIZZA QUICHE

4 oz softened cream cheese
4 eggs
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
1 tbs chives
1/2 tsp Italian or pizza seasoning
2 cups shredded cheese (I use mozzarella/cheddar mix)
1/2 tsp wet garlic or 1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup lowest carb tomato or pizza sauce
1 cup mozzarella cheese
Toppings to taste (I use pepperoni, sausage, onion, green pepper, mushrooms, whatever!)

Preheat oven to 375.
Beat together cream cheese and eggs till smooth (I use a blender).
Add cream, parmesean cheese and spices.
Spray 13x9 glass baking dish with PAM.
Put 2 cups of shredded cheese in dish and pour egg mixture over.
Bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Spread with sauce and then add your toppings...WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY!

Cover with mozzarella cheese.
Bake till browning and bubbly (or however you like your 'za!)

Let stand for 5 minutes or so to cool and then you will be able to pick it up and eat it just like regular pizza!

Note: I have also made this with 3 eggs instead of four and it came out fine! Also made it with more cream cheese and it also came out fine!

If you've been missing pizza, this definitely will make you feel like you will NEVER MISS IT AGAIN!!!

ENJOY!

I must try this dish. I love pizza. You know I can eat low carb pizza all day and have no ill effects but give me a regular pizza and it's reflux and indigestion all night!
