Still hanging in there for our challenge. I am hoping for a good result on May 15. We shall see. If not, then that's ok too. I am no longer a slave to the stupid scale. I know my clothes are fitting differently!
Have a good day!

I'm fighting the battle of the scale one day at a time! Like cecee said, "scales lie" and it's totally the truth! I bought a very expensive, top of the line Walmart scale thinking I was making good choices, but it varies all the freaking time. My one savior is the Tanita Body Composition Scale at my clinic which measures everything from BMI to water retention to muscle mass and more. This way I'm allowed to see where my weight is shifting, where my fat levels are, and what progress if any I'm making. Obviously, we all need to get over our scale addictions, but it may be worth requesting this scale somewhere in your community or Town Nurses office. They do sell simplified versions of all prices if you have some money to throw around, but I'd start in your community. I really love it because I need that sense of control over my weight and I too have an obsession over the "fluctuating scale".

Good Afternoon Ladies!!
Thank you all for stopping by. The scale is treacherous. You work hard all week, i.e. eating on plan, exercising, etc...feeling light as a feather you get on the scale and your heart breaks. It can be very discerning and painful. So I have made up my mind. No More weighing for a while...I might give it away to Goodwill. Like you Karazona, I bought the expensive one from Walmart! ![]() |

Please say a prayer for my daughters friendIt is ironic how events occur. As I was driving down a RD that has 3 lanes of 45mph traffic in each direction divided by a median, I came to a traffic jam. Overhead, I saw the helicopter, on the ground were police directing traffic. I thought what now. Well my daughter phoned me this morning (upset) from school informing me that her friend was hit by a car yesterday on her way home from school. Currently she is in a coma fighting for her life.
I had given her a ride home a before and asked my daughter was an adult home and she replied "no her mom is working, she let's herself in with her keys." ![]() Now, I am not sure if any of you read in my blog before about the little girl that believes she is bi-sexual. Well, you guessed it, same little girl. In the beginning I told my daughter that I was going to let her choose her friends but she had better managed them well and not let them get her in trouble. Well yesterday, I received a phone call from the Dean and my daughter informing me of an incident that happened on Friday which resulted in my daughter and 2 other girls (one of them is the girl in the coma) being put on detention for a week. Well, I bad mouthed those girls and told my daughter that under no circumstances was she to associate with them anymore....Then I had to get this news...I never wish harm to anyone, so please just pray for this 11 or 12 year-old to survive! ![]() |

Did I hear sales
. That is a blessing Marlette because those items are going up daily at Wal-Mart . I will keep that little girl lifted up in prayer, and also your daughters. Things happen so suddenly, so we can't afford to take each other for granted. How are her parents? |

Thanks Lyn!!
I am not sure. I called the school and the only information they could offer was that the principal was on his way to the hospital to see how she was doing. |
