Goals
I don't think I've ever recorded my goals for this journey, so I'll go ahead and jot them down just to come back to later.
Initially when I started in March '08 at 354 lbs, I had a goal of getting to 300 lbs by May '08. That turned out to be pretty unrealistic.
I know you're sposed to set small goals for yourself as you go along so that you don't get lost b/c your ultimate goal is so far off and you lost heart.
So, with that in mind, I am currently at 325 and my goals are as follows:
minigoal: get with the program and start getting healthier and lighter.
Result: accomplished! 03/18/08
minigoal: get to lowest weight ever in years and lowest made last time on weight loss of 323.
Result: accomplished! 321.2 lbs 06/09/08
minigoal: make 300 lbs by Sept 12 2008 (rescheduled Disney trip) the initial goal of 300 by May '08 was predicated on going to Disney May 11 but we had to reschedule
Result: in progress
ultimate goal: 250 lbs, get off BP meds, and maybe even get off Reflux meds. This weight may go lower as I get closer to it and see my body composition. Aggressive date for this would be one year from start so March '09, acceptable date for this would be a year and a half so September '09.
Result: in progress
Note that after I hit 300 I'll establish some more mini goals b/c 300 to 250 is a long way too.
Also, if I don't make a goal, it's not the end of the world and is not an indicator of my self worth. These are milestones to work towards, like a beacon in the night a direction to head towards. I will work towards this, but if I don't make it, I won't give up, I'll just keep working.

I love your goal map. I should really do this, but I don't want to beat myself up along the way! Sounds good that you are head strong! Keep on rocking with your bad self!!
