Just a bittle litter ray of shinesun.
6 weeks update
oy.
no change in the scale from last week. Still sitting at 340.2.
today is the 10th day I have biked to work of a possible 12 since April 10. not too shabby. the biking is continually getting easier, and I vary my route as much as possible. And that pretty much only consists of going through the same neigborhood different ways.
the drinking is still too much, and prolly stalling me. don't know how to stop. All day I sit and tell myself not to drink that night, but once I get home and we get the kids settled and down, I just don't care and do it anyway.
On the brightside tho, I am already down to the last notch on my NEW belt I just bought maybe 2 weeks ago. That just happened this last week. I have taken a pic about a week ago that was for 340'ish and compared to 354 there was a noticeable difference. Too bad there's still such a long way to go.
Oh well, I can do it.

Remember muscle weighs more than fat and I bet you are building alot of it with all of that riding.
I hear you on the drinking. I had to make myself give it up except on occassion because it definitely stalled me. Keep up the great work. |

hey there. i'm impressed with all your biking. i need to get out and excercise more than i am doing but it's tricky when i'm looking after 2 little uns and the babe is keeping us up a bit during the night. the most i manage is getting out with the pushchair. hard to believe i ran a marathon a few years ago!

ya, the hardest part for me was finding time to exercise. going after work to the gym after the wife had been home with the kids made me feel guilty, and it took time away from family.
this way I can combine something I have to do (go to work) with something I need to do (exercise) and it's working out pretty good so far. we're in the dry season right now so rain hasn't been a problem yet. It's also going to get real hot here soon too so we'll see how that goes. there's a shower at work, I just haven't had to use it yet. just find something that works for you and stick with it. good luck! |
